STOP & LOAD.- This washing machine has a device that ensures that the drum is always right-side-up and ready for loading/unloading when the selected programme is completed. When this device, it may take up to 5 minutes for the door to be ready to open when a programme ends or a pause is made to add more washing.
Each time the device cuts in a buzzer sounds to indicate that it has operated correctly.
AQUASTOP
AQUASTOP SAFETY FEATURE.- This machine is fitted with a safety feature known as Aquastop that removes all worries concerning its use. A water leak detector fitted along the water inlet tube and a device installed on the water intake point auomatically cut off the water if a leak appears, even when the power is off.

Get the best results from your new Hoover machine
To ensure you get the best results from your new Hoover machine it is important to use the right detergent in your everyday wash. There are many detergents available in the market and making a choice from the wide range available can often be confusing. At Hoover we regularly test many different types of detergent to assess which give the best wash results in our machines. We found only one brand always lives up to our exacting standards and provides outstanding cleaning across a broad range of dirt and stains, as well as providing high levels of fabric care. That´s why Hoover gave Ariel their official seal of approval.

PREPARING THE WASH CYCLE
1.- Once the washing is loaded, ensure that the drum doors are properly closed..
2.- Add detergent and additives, not exceeding the maximum level indicator.

SELECTING THE DESIRED PROGRAMMES AND OPTIONS
3.- Turn the programme selector (A) to the desired programme.
4.- Press the key or keys for any options desired (C1, C2, C3, C4,C5,C6,C7,C8).
C1 super fast key
When this key is engaged programme times are cut by as much as 50 minutes, depending on the wash programme and temperature selected. The key can be activated only in Cottons, Synthetics and Mixed programmes.
C2 pre-wash key
This is useful for heavily soiled washing. This adds a short additional wash before the main w ash. The key can be activated only in Cottons, Mixed and Synthetics programmes. To activate this
option, always press the key before pressing the start key (H). C3: easy iron key
This function helps reduce creasing, depending on the programme selected and the type of fabric washed. This works as follows: Synthetics. Intermediate spins during rinses are eliminated. Delicates. Intermediate spins during rinses are eliminated and the machine stops before the final spin, which is a gentle spin. Woollens. Intermediate spins during rinses are eliminated and the machine stops before the final spin. Hand wash and Mix&wash. The machine stops before the final spin. Rinses. Intermediate spins during rinses are eliminated T o complete the wash cycle in the Delicates , Woollens, Hand wash and Mix&wash prog rammes, press the Easy Iron key again: the machine will empty and perform the required spin. To empty machine of water with no spin, cancel the ongoing programme and select the Empty programme.
C4: extra rinse key
The electronic system engaged by this key activates a new special rinse cycle. More water and a combination of drum rotation movements ensure that washing is perfectly rinsed. The key can be activated in Cottons, Mixed, Synthetics, Delicates, Rinse, Woollens, Sportswear and AA40 programmes.
5.- If you wish, you can use the key C7 to select spin speed. By pressing this key you can choose the final spin speed, b ut only within the r ange of speeds of the programme selected. These speeds are indicated at the top left of the display (number displayed multiplied by 100). You can select speed at any point in the programme.mmmmmmm In order to cancel spin completely, you need only set the speed indicator number at zero.
6.- Alternatively, if you wish, you can use the key C8 to choose washing temperature. With this key you can select washing temperature, but only within the temperature range of the programme selected. These temperatures are indicated at the top right of the display. If you would like a cold wash, you need only select 15º. Preferably you should select temperature bef ore the
programme is started.
7.- To start the programme, once options have been chosen, press the key H. The washing machine will begin to operate. If you wish to cancel the option you have selected, press the key again. (The pilot light will go off.)
DELAYED START
With this option you can have the machine start up at a certain time, or you can have the progr amme end at a certain time. You can choose ABSOLUTE TIME MODE or RELATIVE TIME MODE. You must choose one of these options before you can programme a timed start.
Absolute time mode.- Time is displayed in hours and minutes, as on a clock. If, for example, you choose 13h.50min., the washing machine will start, or the programme will finish, at that time. Relative time mode.- Time is displayed as a total, i.e. we can choose that the machine will start, or that the programme will end, with the addition of time to the clock reading. For example, if the time on the clock is 10:00 and you want the programme to start at 12:00, add two hours. The machine will start at 10:00 plus 2:00, i.e. at 12:00.
To choose one of the two options, after accessing the menu, press the ke y C1 and hold it do wn until the time selection screen is displayed. Then press C4 in order to change the selection. Finally, key in the selection desired.
To programme a delayed start:
1.- Select the programme and the options desired.
2.- Press the key C5 and hold it down until the option you have chosen, i.e. "End of programme at ... " or "Start of programme at ...", is displayed.
3.- With the option chosen, press C1 or C3 and hold it down until the time is displayed that you want. The C5 pilot light will go on.
4.- Press H. The machine has now been programmed. The start time selected, or final time selected, will be displayed.
If you wish to cancel the timed start that you have programmed, press the key C5 and hold it down for about three seconds. The washing machine will carry out the programme chosen.
To change or cancel a programme To modify the programme selected once it has started, proceed as follows:
a) Press the key H and hold it down until "programme paused", f ollo wed by "prog ramme cancelled", is displayed. b) Release the key and select the programme you now want. It will be displayed. c) Press the key H again. The new programme will be displayed. d) The washing machine will carry out the new programme.
Programme pause
If the programme has begun but you wish to add more clothes:
a) First press H and hold it down until the screen displays programme paused and door secure . Then, after approximately five minutes, the screen will display: programme paused and door open. b) Open the door and add the extra clothes. c) Close the drum door and press the key H. The progr amme data initially chosen will be displa yed, and the machine will resume operation where it stopped.
When the programme has been completed, the message "Programme complete, door open" will be displayed.
"In the interests of safety, turn the programme selector to OFF". Open the lid of the mac hine, and then the drum doors, in order to remove clothing.
