IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical steam cleaner, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS STEAM CLEANER. THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. IF USED COMMERCIALLY WARRANTY IS VOID.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE,
ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
• Fully assemble before operating.
• Operate steam cleaner only at voltage specified on data label on back of steam cleaner.
• Do not leave steam cleaner when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning or servicing.
• Do not use outdoors or store outdoors.
• Do not use for space heating purposes.
• Do not immerse in water.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Not intended for use by children age 12 and under. Close supervision is necessary when used near children. To avoid injury, burn, or damage, keep children away from product, and do not allow children to touch steam cleaner while in use or before completely cool, or to place fingers or other objects into any openings.
• Do not use any extension cord with this product.
• Do not handle the plug, or the Steam Mop with wet hands. Do not operate the Steam Mop without footwear.
• Do not place hands or feet under the Steam Mop while it is in operation as the steam cleaner gets very hot and may create a burn hazard.
• Use only on flat, horizontal surfaces. Do not use the Steam Mop on walls, counter tops or windows.
• To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the Steam Mop into water or any other liquids.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments and products.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not work ing as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, please contact Hoover® authorized distributor for instructions before continuing use.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not place product on cord. Do not run steam cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. When not in use do not place steam cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in injury or damage.
• To avoid burn or injury, do not apply steam directly to any person or animal.

WARNING:
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (ONE BLADE IS WIDER THAN THE OTHER). THIS PLUG WILL FIT IN A POLARIZED OUTLET ONLY ONE WAY. IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT FULLY IN THE OUTLET, REVERSE THE PLUG. IF IT STILL DOES NOT FIT, CONTACT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICAN TO INSTALL THE PROPER OUTLET. DO NOT CHANGE THE PLUG IN ANY WAY.
• Only use water to refill the water tank. Do not use any type of chemicals or additives in the water tank.
• Do not add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic products, cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water used in this steam cleaner as this may damage the steam cleaner or make it unsafe for use. While this Steam Mop is designed for tap water, to increase effectiveness of the steam and to avoid build up of minerals, you may use distilled water to fill Steam Mop.
• Do not use Steam Mop in an enclosed space filled with vapor given off by oil-based paint, paint thinners, some moth proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapors.
• When in use, never turn the steam cleaner over or use while on its side.
• Allow Steam Mop sufficient time to cool prior to removing the microfiber pad.
• Before cleaning the Steam Mop, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and clean with a dry or damp cloth. Do not pour water or use alcohol, benzene or paint thinner on the steam cleaner.
• Do not use in areas where flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline may be present.
• Do not use without microfiber pad properly attached to mophead.
• Do not clean over floor electrical outlets.
• Do not use the Steam Mop on leather, wax polished furniture or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate, steam sensitive materials.
• Recommend to use Hoover® 4X Steam Multi-Floor Cleaning
Solution.
• Do not operate Steam Mop without water in water tank.
• Unplug Steam mop from outlet before filling, rinsing or cleaning. Do not fill water reservoir with more than recommended amount of water. Do not fill solution reservoir with more than recommended amount of solution and water.
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to
the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm. WASH HANDS AFTER HANDLING.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DAMAGE:
• Check and follow flooring manufacturers warranty and recommendations regarding the use of steam mops PRIOR to using this product on your floors and carpets.
• Store appropriately indoors in a dry place. Do not expose machine to freezing temperatures.
• Never use Steam Mop without microfiber pad attached.
• Never leave Steam Mop in one spot or on any surface for any period of time when pump is turned on and steam is activated.

Remove all parts from carton and identify each item shown.
Make sure all parts are located before disposing of packing materials.

Grip the steam reach wand. Push the steam reach wand down into the floorhead until it clicks into place.
Grip the steam reach wand. Push the hand­held down onto the steam reach wand until it clicks into place.
The steamer is not free standing and must always be stood either in the wall bracket or safely and securely against a wall or fixed structure when not in use.

Attach the wall bracket:

Attaching the wall bracket using an adhesive strip
Fully assemble the unit and position it against the wall where it will be stored.

Remove the adhesive cover.

Attach the wall bracket to the handle.

Firmly press the handheld and wall bracket clip to fix the wall wall bracket to the wall in the correct place.

Stand the unit close and upright against the wall.

Attach the wall bracket:
Attaching the wall bracket with screws

Fully assemble the unit and position it against the wall where it will be stored.

Carefully remove the unit from the wall bracket and use the other screw to secure the wall bracket to the wall.

Attach the wall bracket to the handle.
Using one of the supplied screws,screw the wall bracket to the wallusing the top screw hole.

Filling the twin tank
Press the twin tankrelease button down, grip the twin tank and pull to remove.

Pull the tab on the water tank cap to open.

Fill the water tank with water. Replace the cap and push firmly to close.

Grip the twin tank and pull the tab on the solution tank cap to open.
Before you begin cleaning:

This steamer is not free standing, when filling or carrying out any maintenance always stand securely against a wall/fixed
structure or lie the steamer flat on the floor in a suitable location
so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.

Before you begin cleaning:
Filling the twin tanks
• IMPORTANT •
Always test on an inconspicuous area of flooring first before using
solution. Don’t over fill the clean twin tanksor exceed the maximum
amount required. Don’t use the steamer without water in the
water tank. Always top up with water in good time.

Before replacing the twin tank make sure the hard water filter is in place.

Line up the lip on the base of twin tank with the main body. Push in a hinge like manner to click into place.

Important : If the twin tank is not fitted correctly there will be a reduction in the amount of steam/ solution produced.

Fill the solution tank up to the fill line withwater and top up with solution replace the cap and push firmly to close.

• IMPORTANT •
Important: Do not mix Hoover Steam Cleaning
Solution with any other cleaning solution.

WARNING
Never leave the steamer in one spot on any surface
for an extended period of time with
a damp or wet Microfiber pad attached as this
may damage the floor surface.
When cleaning hard floors, your Steam Mop should
only be used on tiles, linoleum, sealed hardwood
flooring, engineered hardwood, laminate,
vinyl and sealed stone floors.
If used on waxed flooring, you may
experience loss of glossiness.
To reduce the risk of personal injury, unplug the
steam cleaner when assembling the accessories.
Do not clean over floor electrical outlets.
Do not use steam cleaner or press the Steam
Trigger without water in the water tank.
IMPORTANT
Never use the Steam Mop without the Microfiber
pad properly attached to the Mop Head.

• The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling.
• Always unplug and switch off the steamer when assembling.
• Always switch off the steamer before emptying the water tank or changing the cleaning pads/accessories.
• IMPORTANT: Please refer to floor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use and test the steamer on a discrete area of flooring to begin with.
• When using the steamer, basic safety precautions should always be observed.
• Don’t aim the steamer at people, animals, plants or electrical components such as interior of ovens or wires. Never touch the steam spray or floor head from a short distance. (There is a risk of scalding)
• The steamer is equipped with a thermostat and a thermal cut out. If for any reason the steamer overheats it will switch off. If this happens turn off and unplug the steamer, allow to cool for a least 2 to 4 hours and re-start.

Place the microfiber pad on the floor white side facing up. Place the floor head onto microfiber pad making sure the microfiber padcovers the entire floorhead.

Plug the steamer into main power supply and slide t he On/Off switch to “On”.

The orange light will illuminate to indicate power on.

The green light will illuminate to indi­cate the steamer is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to Max steam (no solution).
Using your machine:
WARNING
Never use the steam floor steamer without a microfiber cleaning
pad attached to the floorhead.Never leave the floor steamer in
one spot for an extended period of time or with a damp or
wet microfiber pad attached as this may damage the floor surface.

Press the button in the centre of the control panel to select steam and solution setting. The light will illuminate at the desired setting: Max steam Low steam Max steam + solution Low steam + solution
Using the floor steamer
When the steamer is switched on the control panel will automatically set to max steam (no solution).

Pull handle down to recline.

To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Don’t hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting floors.

Move the steamer slowly forwards and backwards across the floor paying particular attention to high traffic areas. Squeeze/release trigger to release steam as required.

After cleaning, switch off and unplug the steamer. Allow the steamer to cool down. Hold the corner of the microfibre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.

For more concen­trated steam use the Steam StreamTM technology. For best results use max steam + solution setting. Press the steam boost button on the floorhead to acti­vate. Squeeze the trigger to release steam. Press the steam burst button to switch off.

Using the floor steamer with the power scrub brush
Place foot on outer floorhead and lift steamer to release the power scrub brush.

To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Don’t hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting floors.

Move the steamer forwards and backwards across the floor, getting into corners and awkward places.

Re-fit the scrub head by lining up with floorhead and pushing firmly into place.

For more concen­trated steam use the Steam StreamTM technology. For best results use Max steam + solution setting. Press the steam burst button on the floorhead to activate. Squeeze the trigger to release steam. Press the steam boost button to switch off.
Using your machine:
For best cleaning results on stubborn stains in awkward places use the nano head on the max steam solution setting.

Using your machine:

Place the microfibre pad on the floor white side facing up. Place steamer onto pad making sure the entire pad covers the floorhead.

With microfibre pad attached, slide the floorhead into the carpet glider, then push the back of the floor­head downwards into the clip to secure. The carpet glider should only be used when refreshing carpets.

Plug the steamer into mains and slide the On/Off switch to “On”. The green light will illuminate when it is ready to use. The steamer will automati­cally set to Max steam (no solution).

Pull handle backwards to recline.

To refresh your carpets press the button on the con­trol panel to select Steam only LOW. Do not use solution when refreshing carpets.

When releasing the carpet glider, ensure he steam trigger is fully released first. To release the carpet glider, place your foot on the clip and press down. Lift steamer out of the glider to remove.

After refreshing carpets, switch off and unplug the steamer. Allow the steamer to cool down. Hold the corner of the microfibre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.

Using your machine:

Press the steam wand release pedal and pull the steam wand and handheld out of the floorhead.

Use the arrows to align the concentration nozzle to the end of the steam wand. Push the concentration tool onto the steam wand and twist clockwise to lock into position.

Plug the steamer into mains and slide the On/Off switch to On. The green light will illuminate when it is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to Max steam (no solution).
