The filter bag

Never operate cleaner without the bag.
CAUTION: Very fine materials, such as face powder, cornstarch, fireplace ashes or fireplace soot, may seal the filter bag and cause it to burst even though it is only partially full of dirt. When the cleaner is used to remove material of this nature, the bag should be changed frequently.
Where to buy bags
Bags may be purchased from your local Authorized Hoover Dealers (Depots), Leading Retailers, from Hoover Factory Service Centers, or through The Hoover Company online at www.hoovercompany.com

The secondary filter protects the motor from dirt particles. It is located on the back wall behind the bag. When bag is removed, check the filter (it is not removable). Loosen dirt with a small brush and wipe off dirt particles with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Rug/floor nozzle
To maintain cleaning effectiveness of your rug and floor nozzle, the brushes may need to be replaced occasionally. See your nearest Hoover Factory Service Center or Authorized Warranty Dealer (Depot) for new brushes.
Lubrication
The motor is equipped with two bearings that contain sufficient lubrication for the life of the motor. The addition of lubricant could cause
