Important Notes
Each camera has been tested at least 3 times before
shipping, if there is ANY PROBLEM of the camera,
please make sure contact us before returning or
reviewing:

1. Power supply, coaxial video cable and DVR are
NOT INCLUDED but REQUIRED.
2. Default mode: 1080P TVI video format.
3. Power on the camera, then switch to the
corresponding video format that your DVR support
in 10 seconds if your DVR do not support default
1080P TVI mode. After 10 seconds, it will be locked.
You need power off and power on the camera again.
IF no image or the image in black & white, please
power off and then power on the camera again to
switch to corresponding video format.
4. 1080P HD modes (TVI, AHD, CVI) DO NOT
compatible with 720P or 960P DVR.
5. At least DC 12V 2A power adapter is required. If
there is no video or IR Led is not working properly
at night, please use DC 12V 3A (or 5A) power
supply. It depends on the power cable length and

quality. You could buy DC 12V 3A or 5A power
supply at Honic Store.
6. Peel off the protective film on the lens and glass
panel before installation.
7. CVBS (1200TVL, Analog) model do not support
UTC, which means you need zoom the lens via OSD
joystick only, but not via UTC menu in DVR.
8. 1080P (TVI, AHD and CVI) model support UTC,
which means you could zoom the lens in front of
the monitor via DVR UTC menu.
9. If there is no yellow indicator at OSD menu at
night on 1080P TVI mode, please OSD menu-
System-TV system-TV format-B&W-Burst off,
change it to Burst on, then the yellow indicator will
show, change it to Burst off again if there is any
problem of the image or any compatibility issue of
your DVR occur.
10. Make a security system work well:
a. DVR should support the one of the four video
formats, we recommend 1080P DVR to get great
image, not 1080N DVR, which could only show
1920*720 (about 1MP) image quality.
b. Power supply should provide enough current at
DC 12V.

c. Video cable should be good quality, or there will
be distorted image or lines, it is not the problem of
camera, but video cable.
Please read this user manual carefully to ensure
proper use of the product.
Notice Before Using
Default Mode: 1080P TVI Video Output.
If your DVR is AHD, CVI or Analog DVR, please take
the OSD cap off and switch the OSD joystick to the
corresponding video mode.
POWER ON the camera, switch the OSD joystick in 10
seconds:
LEFT Push 5s to 1200TVL mode for analog DVR.
RIGHT Push 5s to TVI mode for 1080P TVI DVR
or XVR.
DOWN Push 5s to CVI mode for 1080P CVR or
XVR.
UP Push 5s to AHD mode for 1080P (N) AHD
DVR or XVR.
Note: 5s means 5 seconds

Installation and Operation:
1. Unpacking and Handling
Each unit is shipped assembled and factory tested.
Ensure that all accessories are removed from the
container before discarding packing material.

2. Mechanical Inspection
Inspect the front and rear of the equipment for shipping
damage. Make sure the equipment is clean, and no
connectors are broken, damaged, or loose. If
equipment appears to be damaged or defective please
contact us for assistance.
3. Special Attention
(i) The installer must comply with electrical safety
standards. There must be sufficient space between
the camera's power supply and video line and any
high voltage equipment and/or cables.
(ii) To help ensure the camera's life and proper
operation do not point the camera towards the sun
or strong light.
(iii) Do not install the camera in an environment where
the temperature is too high or too low,
recommended operating temperature is 14F ~
122F.

(iv) Do not install the camera near a magnetic field or a
high-power motor.
(v) Only use a dry cloth to clean the camera. If there is
dirt that is difficult to remove, wipe gently with a mild
detergent. Never use strong or abrasive detergents.
(vi) A 12V DC 2A-5A power supply must be used. AC
power cannot be applied. AC power will damage
the camera and void warranty. Power supply output
voltage, current, voltage polarity and operating
temperature must match requirement of this
equipment.
(vii) Only qualified installers are allowed to install, test
and disassemble the camera.
(viii) The camera is a low voltage product. If installed
outdoors, proper safety and lightening grounding
are required.
4. Wiring Connections
(i) Connect the power supply's DC plug to the
camera's power outlet.
(ii) Connect the camera to the DVR with a 75Ω coaxial
video cable.
(iii) Connect power supply's AC plug to a suitable AC
power outlet.
(iv) Adjust the lens direction according to the required
surveillance area and environment.

Note: Before connecting the power supply, please
check its output voltage, 12V (2A-5A) required.
5. How to Zoom and Focus (auto focus)

This camera has 5x optical zoom ability from 2.7mm-
13.5mm by motorized varifocal lens and it could be auto
focused at any zoom position.
A. CVBS (1200TVL, Analog) mode:
Because this camera do not support UTC (Up the
Coax), so when you power on the camera and switch
the camera to CVBS mode, please up push or down
push the OSD joystick to zoom in or zoom out, it will be
auto focused after the zoom position has been set.
B. 1080P (TVI, AHD, CVI) mode:
1. If your DVR could support UTC (UP the Coax),
you could zoom in and zoom out the camera by
pressing Zoom plus or minus buttons via UTC
menu (UTC menu may be integrated to PTZ menu
in some DVRs), it’s the most convenient way to
operate the camera. You may also APP of your
DVR to zoom in & out the camera if that APP is
applicable.
2. If your DVR do not support UTC (Up the Coax),
you could only use OSD joystick to zoom in and
zoom out, which is the same as in CVBS mode.

Setup OSD Menu
1. Press the OSD joystick to start the OSD menu in
any video output mode,
2. Move the joystick up or down to navigate through
the menu options.
3. Move the joystick left or right to change a menu
setting.
4. When a menu option or setting is followed by ,
press the joystick to access to the next screen.
5. When a finger & button is present, press and
hold the SET button, PUSHING will display once
the setting has been changed.
6. To go back to the main menu, select RETURN or
EXIT and then press the joystick.
