Operation
How to connect connector
NOTE: Check for foreign material and water inside
connectors before connection. If there is any foreign
material or water inside the connector, remove it
immediately.

• Open the socket lid and insert the trailer 7-pin
connector into the socket.
• Hook the retaining tab on the inner side of the lid
against the retaining tab of the connector to
prevent disconnection during running.
• Remove the socket cover and fix it on the top of
the socket securely.
• Insert the trailer 4-pin connector into the socket
securely to prevent disconnection during running.

How to disconnect connector
• Disconnect the connectors in the reverse order
of connection.
• Do not attempt to pry off the connectors with
force.
• Close the socket lid and cover securely.

Special Precautions
• When the trailer hitch is used on a boat ramp or
in a place where the connectors are submerged
in the water, disconnect the trailer 7-pin
connector and 4-pin connector from the sockets
and close the socket lid and socket cover
securely before operation.
Failure to disconnect the connectors making the
connectors submerged in the water as a result
will cause adverse effect to the vehicle electric
system.
• Water will enter the connectors if they are
submerged in the water. Open the socket lid and
cover to drain the connectors.

• Electric current flows through the positive (+)
charging circuit only when the ignition switch is in
the ON (II) position.
Using the positive charging circuit when the
engine is at a stop or during idling can discharge
the battery.
