Read all safety informaon below and operang instrucon before using this Colour Surveillance Camera to avoid any damages to your device. Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into this device.

Hazard, Safety and Warning noces

Incorrect use of the camera and accessories can be dangerous for you and others and can damage or destroy the camera. We therefore ask you to read and strictly observe the following hazard, safety and warning noces.

Intended use

This surveillance camera is solely intended for the image surveillance of exteriors. The specied maximum ranges are approximate and can be impaired, depending on the environment and natural weather condions. You are responsible for ensuring that no personal rights of third pares are violated when using the surveillance camera. The surveillance camera has solely been designed for private use.

Hazardous for children and persons with limited ability to operate electronic equipment

The camera, accessories and packaging are not toys for children to play with and should therefore be kept away from children. There could be a risk of electrocuon, poisoning and suocaon.

The camera and accessories may not be used by children or persons with a limited ability of operang equipment. The camera may not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capacies or limited experience and/or knowledge. The camera, the receiver and mains adapter may only be used by persons that are physically or mentally able to operate the equipment safely, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have been instructed by this person as to how to use the equipment. Children should be supervised to ensure that they are not playing with the equipment.

1. Please keep the glass surface of the camera clean to unsure its correct operaon. DO NOT use abrasive cleaning agents, alcohol or similar. DO NOT use sharp edged tools, or similar to remove debris from the device.

2. Choose a suitable locaon for the security device, ensuring that it is posioned away from sources of strong light. This will aect the image quality and may cause damage to the units CCD (Charge-coupled Device).

3. Do not touch the CCD sensor directly with your nger. If necessary use so damp cloth to wipe o the dust.

4. If the product becomes damaged DO NOT use. Contact the number provided on your warranty card or a qualied electrician if the item requires repairing. Do not open the camera as this will void any warranty.

Electrical hazard

Switch o camera if a foreign body or liquid has entered the camera. Wait unl completely dry, there is danger of re and electrocuon. Switch o if camera or receiver has been dropped or if housing is damaged, there is danger of re and electrocuon. The camera and its components may not be dismantled, modied or repaired, there is danger of re and electrocuon. Only use the supplied power supplies or power supplies with the same specicaons. Only connect power supplies to the mains voltage specied on the rang plate. Do not use power supply or output cable if damaged. Replace with same type of power supply. Check that all used mains sockets are always accessible so that the power supply can be quickly interrupted when necessary. The device is disconnected from the mains by pulling out the plug from the mains socket.

Geng Started

NOTE: Night view video images will be shown in black and white. Night view will not work if pointed into an open area such as a eld or large car park, point the camera into a doorway or closed area for best performance. Infra-Red LED’s will glow slightly Red during operaon. This is normal during night me.

Please note that this product is designed solely for private use and consideraon should be given when choosing a suitable locaon for the product.

Instrucons

Camera Placement

Always test the camera at the wanted posion before mounng it. The camera should be mounted so that it does not face a strong light source, as this can give distorted colours and glare during certain situaons. Posion the camera below the horizon to eliminate sunlight glare. Colour distoron is most likely caused by strong night light. Always be aware of east and west when mounng the camera. If camera is facing east or west, there is a good chance you will see unwanted glare.

It is possible to adjust the cap of the camera. If you get distorted colours or glare then try and adjust the cap of the camera, as this will help in many situaons.

Mounng Camera

Before you ax the camera in posion, please ensure the cable is of adequate length to reach the Monitor or DVR.

NOTE: It is recommended that you test the product before nal installaon.

1. Ensure that the surface you want to mount the camera on is solid and can support the weight of the CCTV Camera.

2. Accurately mark on the wall the posion of the holes to be drilled.

3. Drill the holes to the correct depth in the wall, as indicated by the plugs.

4. Insert plugs into the drilled holes.

5. Secure the camera to the wall using the provided screws.

Connecons

This CCTV Camera can be used in two dierent ways. Connected directly to a monitor (not included) for live video from the camera (Basic System Connecon). It is also possible to connect the CCTV Camera to a DVR (not included) if you already have a DVR and other CCTV Cameras, and want to use this CCTV Camera as an extra camera for your exisng DVR Kit. This will allow you to record video from the CCTV and watch the video remotely (Only works on some DVRs) (Extended System Connecon).

Basic System Connecon

Connect the supplied extension cable to the CCTV Camera cable. Connect the dierent plugs with the corresponding colors. The yellow cable is video and the red cable is Power. Connect the small metal adaptor to the Yellow cable, so you will be able to connect it to a monitor (not included). Now connect the yellow (video) to your monitor. Connect the red cable to the supplied power adaptor. The CCTV Camera is now ready for use, and you will be able to see live video on the monitor (not included).

Extended System Connecon

Connect the supplied extension cable to the CCTV Camera cable. Connected the dierent plugs with the corresponding colors. The yellow cable is video and the red cable is power. Now connect the yellow (video) to your DVR (not included). Connect the red cable to the supplied power adaptor. The CCTV Camera is now ready for use, and you will be able to record video from the camera through your DVR (not included).

Dear Customer, The Aldi warranty oers you extensive benets:

Warranty period: 3 years from the date of purchase 6 months for wear parts and consumables under normal and proper condions of use (e.g. rechargeable baeries). Costs: Free repair/ exchange or refund. No transport costs. ADVICE: Please contact our service hotline by phone or email before sending in the device. This allows us to provide support in the event of possible operator errors.

In order to make a claim under the warranty, please send us:

• together with the faulty item the original receipt and the warranty card properly completed.

• the faulty product with all components included in the packaging.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

• Accident or unancipated events (e.g. lightning, water, re).

• Improper use or transport.

• Disregard of the safety and maintenance instrucons.

• Other improper treatment or modicaon.

Aer the expiry of the warranty period, you sll have the possibility to have your product repaired at your own expense. If the repair or the esmate of costs is not free of charge you will be informed accordingly in advance.

In the event that a product is received for repair, neither the service company not the seller will assume any liability for data or sengs possibly stored on the product by the customer.

Disposal

The device must not be disposed of together with domesc waste. If you want to dispose of the device, do it the environmentally friendly way by bringing it to a public waste centre.

The packaging material is partly recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly way by bringing it to a public collecon centre.

Great care has gone into the manufacture of this product and it should therefore provide you with years of good service when used properly. In the event of product failure within its intended use over the course of the rst 3 years aer date of purchase, we will remedy the problem as quickly as possible once it has been brought to our aenon.
