• If this generator is used for emergency standby service it will be
necessary to install a manual transfer switch between the
electric utilitiy's meter and the building's distribution panel. The
transfer switch isolates the generator and load from the utility
power line, thus avoiding any danger of electricity being fed back
to the utility lines. The installation should be done by a licensed
electrician.
• Never operate the machine in an explosive atmosphere, near
combustible materials or where ventilation is not sufficient to carry
away exhaust fumes. Exhaust fumes can cause serious injury
or death.
• When starting the machine, be sure that nothing is in a position
to be hit by the operators hand or arm.
• Be sure the switch on electric power tools is in the “OFF” position
before plugging them into the machine.
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO REDUCE THE RISK OF
INJURY
• This generator is equipped with a grounding terminal for your
protection. Always complete the ground path from the generator
to an external ground source as instructed in the section labeled
“Grounding the Generator”.
• Keep the immediate area free of all bystanders.
• Be sure each person who operates this machine is properly
instructed in its safe operation.
• Do not operate this machine or any electrical tool in any area
where water or similar materials constitute an electrical hazard
to the operator. Do not operate on wet surfaces or in the rain.
• Always be sure that the machine is on secure footing so that it
cannot slide or shift around, endangering workers.
• Avoid contacting the hot exhaust manifold, muffler or cylinder.
Keep clear of all rotating parts.
• Unless the tool or appliance is double insulated, ground it. Tools
and appliances which have 3 prong plugs must be plugged into
extension cords and electrical receptacles with 3 holes. Before
operating any electrical item, be sure it is in good repair.
• BEWARE OF USING THIS EQUIPMENT IN CONFINED SPACES
Confined spaces, without sufficient fresh air ventilation, can contain
dangerous gases. Running gasoline engines in such environments can lead to deadly explosions and/or asphyxiation.
MAINTENANCE
• Use HOMELITE genuine replacement parts. Failure to do so may
cause poor fit and injury.
• Never operate machine with any guard removed.
• Shut off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire before
working on any part of this machine.
• Always keep the machine and all associated equipment clean,
properly serviced and maintained.
REFUELING (DO NOT SMOKE!)
• Observe all safety regulations for the safe handling of fuel.
• Handle fuel in safety containers.
• If container does not have a spout, use a funnel.
• Do not refill fuel tank while the engine is running.
• Fill the tank only on an area of bare ground. While filling the tank,
keep heat, sparks and open flame away. Carefully clean up any
spilled fuel before starting engine.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER
For additional protection against the hazards of electrical shock
from defective attachments such as tools, cords and cables,
consider the use of a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). The
GFCI is a device that interrupts electricity from either utility or a
generator by means of a special type of circuit breaker if a fault to
ground occurs. EXAMPLE: If a person is in contact with the
ground and touches a defective tool or bare wire from a damaged
cord set, he may receive an electrical shock. The GFCI would
sense this shock and interrupt the electrical supply before the
person is seriously injured.
A GFCI can be used with generators that have the neutral wire
internally grounded to the frame properly grounded to the earth.
The GFCI will not work on generators that do not have the neutral
grounded to the frame. Homelite generators have neutral wire
ground to frame.
WARNING
The GFCI may not function unless the generator is properly
grounded. Follow the correct grounding procedure specified
below.
NOTE:
Situations exist where the GFCI will not afford any protection
against the hazards of electrical shock. EXAMPLE: If a person
touches two or more conductors from a damaged cord set and is
not in direct contact with the ground, he may receive a shock.
Since there is no path to ground for a current to flow through, the
GFCI will not operate and serious injury may result.
The GFCI is merely an added safety precaution. There are no
substitutes for good safety precautions, correct electrical practices and proper maintenance of cords, electrical equipment and
connections.
GROUNDING THE GENERATOR
The wing nut and ground terminal on the frame must always be
used to connect the generator to a suitable ground source. The
ground path should be made with #8 size wire. Connect the terminal
of the ground wire between the lock washer and the wing nut, and
tighten the wing nut fully. Connect the other end of the wire securely
to a suitable ground source.
The National Electric Code contains several practical ways in which
to establish a good ground source. Examples given below illustrate
a few of the ways in which a good ground source may be established.
GROUNDING THE GENERATOR-Cont'd
A metal underground water pipe in direct contact with the earth for
at least 10 feet can be used as a grounding source. If an underground pipe is unavailable, an 8 foot length of pipe or rod may be
used as the ground source. The pipe should be 3/4 inch trade size
or larger and the outer surface must be norcorrosive. If a steel or
iron rod is used it should be at least 5/8 inch diameter and if a
nonferrous rod is used it should be at least 1/2 inch diameter and
be listed as material for grounding. Drive the rod or pipe to a depth
of 8 feet. If a rock bottom is encountered less than 4 feet down, bury
the rod or pipe in a trench. All electrical tools and appliances
operated from this generator, must be properly grounded by use of
a third wire or be “Double Insulated”. It is recommended that:
1. Use electrical devices with 3 prong power cords.
2. Use an extension cord with a 3 hole receptacle and a 3 prong
plus at opposite ends to ensure continuity of the ground
protection from the generator to appliance.
We strongly recommend that all applicable Federal, State and local
regulations relating to grounding specifications be checked and
adhered to.
LINE TRANSFER SWITCH
If this generator is used for standby service, it must have a transfer
switch between the utility power service and the generator. The
transfer switch not only prevents the utility power from feeding into
the generator, but it also prevents the generator from feeding out
into the utility company's lines. This is intended to protect a
serviceman who may be working on a damaged line. THIS INSTAL-
LATION SHOULD BE DONE BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
AND ALL LOCAL CODES MUST BE FOLLOWED.
PREPARING FOR USE
ENGINE OIL
CAUTION
This engine crankcase is not filled with oil at the factory, so be
sure to fill it before operating the engine.
TO CHECK OIL LEVEL:

use a high quality detergent
oil with an API classification
of SE of SF. See engine manual for specific recommendations on SAE viscosity grade,
oil capacities and oil change
intervals.

FUELING
Do not mix oil with gasoline.
RECOMMENDED FUEL: Use any gasoline intended for automotive use. For normal use, purchase fuel that can be used in 30 days.
This will assure fuel freshness and volatility tailored to the season.
Consult engine operating and maintenance instructions for use of
oxygenated fuels.
WHEN FILLING TANK:
1. Clean area around fuel cap and loosen cap slowly. Rest the
cap on a clean surface.
2. Carefully put fuel into the tank, filling to approximately 1/4 inch
(5mm) of the top. Avoid spillage.
3. Immediately replace cap and hand tighten. Wipe up any fuel
spillage.
DO NOT OPERATE ENGINE IF GASOLINE IS SPILLED. AVOID
CREATING ANY IGNITION UNTIL THE GASOLINE HAS EVAPORATED.
STARTING AND STOPPING
Check engine oil before starting
1. Remove the load by unplugging any plugs from receptacles.
2. Move the “OFF-ON” switch to “ON” position.
3. Move choke lever to the “CHOKE” position (see illustration).
4. Grasp starter firmly and pull slowly until resistance is felt.
Then pull rapidly. If engine fails to start on first pull, open
choke slightly and repeat.
5. When engine starts, open choke gradually to the “RUN”
position.
6. To stop: Move “OFF-ON” switch to “OFF” position.
NOTE:
If the engine is warm, set choke to "RUN" position.
OPERATION
LOAD APPLICATION
The continuous duty rating should not be exceeded for long
periods of time. Always be sure that the voltage, amperage and
frequency requirements of the equipment to be used can be
satisfied by the generator. To avoid damage, the generator
should not be operated at the intermittent rating for more than 10
minutes out of every hour.

CHOKE
CABLE SIZE
Equipment damage can result from low voltage. To prevent
excessive voltage drop between the generator and the equipment, the cable or extension cord should be adequate for the
length used.
CONTROL PANEL
The generator is equipped with one 120 volt 15 amp, parallel slot,
U-ground, NEMA 5-15R duplex receptacle and one resettable
thermal type circuit breaker. The circuit breaker protects against
severe overloads or short circuits. If the circuit breaker trips, the
cause should be determined and corrected prior to continuing
use.
NEVER EXCEED THE RATING OF A RECEPTACLE.
MAINTENANCE
ENGINE:
See Engine Manual for Maintenance Procedures.
STORAGE
When the generator is not used for a long period, it should be
stored properly. Before storing, proceed as follows:
1. Drain the fuel tank completely.
2. Start the engine and allow it to run until fuel in the carburetor
and fuel lines have been used.
3. Remove the spark plug and put 3 to 5 cc of oil into the spark
plug hole in the cylinder head.

Keep all air vents clear.
Keep clean.
Periodically check all fasteners and tighten.
4. Install the spark plug and slowly pull the starter handle a few
times to distribute the oil.
5. Retighten all bolts and nuts.
6. Clean the exterior surface of the generator and apply a rust
inhibitor.
7. Store the generator in a dry, well ventilated place.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
NOTE: Servicing generators may require use of specialized tools
and electronic equipment. If these solutions do not solve the
problem contact your authorized servicing dealer.
PROBLEM: Engine will not start:
1. Is the engine switch ON?
2. Is there fuel in the tank?
3. Is there spark at the spark plug?
A) Remove the spark plug cap. Clean any dirt from around
the plug base, then remove the spark plug.
B) Install the spark plug in the plug cap.
C) Turn the engine switch on.
D) Grounding the electrode to any engine ground, pull the
recoil starter to see if sparks jump across the gap.
E) If there is no spark, replace the plug.
F) With new plug installed repeat “D” above.
G) If okay, reinstall plug and start engine according to instruc-
tions. If not consult a Servicing Dealer.
H) If engine still does not start, take it to a Servicing Dealer.
PROBLEM: Generator has no output.
1. Reset circuit breakers
2. Check cord sets and extension cords.
3. Consult Servicing Dealer.

John Deere Consumer Products, Inc. warrants to the original retail purchaser that this Homelite® Product is free from defects in material
and workmanship and agrees to repair or replace at John Deere Consumer Products, Inc.'s discretion any defective Product free of charge
within these time periods from the date of purchase:
• One year, if the Product is used for personal, family, or household use;
• 90 days, if the Product is used for any other purpose, such as commercial or rental use.
This warranty is not transferable and does not cover damage resulting from other than defects in material or workmanship, or damage
caused by unreasonable use, including the failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. Also, the warranty obligations
do not apply to conditions resulting from misuse, alteration or accident. In addition, this warranty does not cover general check-ups on
electrical equipment, tune-ups on gasoline engines or replacement of non-defective parts (such as electrical brushes, cables, plugs, spark
plugs, filters, starter ropes, etc.) that may wear and need to be replaced with reasonable use within the warranty period or which may require
replacement in connection with normal maintenance. This warranty applies only to products sold within the United States of America,
the District of Columbia, Canada, Mexico, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, the Canal Zone, or American
Samoa.
SAVE YOUR SALES SLIP
Proof of purchase in the form of your dated sales receipt, cash register slip, etc. showing the serial number and the model of your Product
will be required before our dealers can perform warranty service on the Product. You must at your own expense arrange to deliver or ship
the Product for warranty repairs and arrange for pickup or return of the Product after repairs have been made.
This warranty does not apply to any trade accessory, engine or electric motor which is separately warranted by another manufacturer and
not manufactured by John Deere Consumer Products, Inc.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY OR OTHERWISE, APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT, SHALL BE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. JOHN DEERE CONSUMER PRODUCTS, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE

RESOLUCION DE PROBLEMAS
NOTA: Para efectuar las tareas de servicio de los generadores tal vez
sea necesario utilizar herramientas y equipo electrónico especializado.
En caso de que estas soluciones no resuelvan el problema, habrá de
ponerse en contacto con su distribuidor encargado del servicio técnico.
PROBLEMA: El motor no se pone en marcha:
1. ¿Está el conmutador del motor en la posición ON (activado)?
2. ¿Hay gasolina en el depósito?
3. ¿Da chispa la bujía?
A) Retire la tapa de la bujía. Limpie la suciedad existente alrededor
de la base de la bujía y proceda a extraerla.
B) Coloque la bujía dentro de la clavija de conexión.
C) Ponga el conmutador del motor en la posición ON (activado).
D) Efectúe la conexión de la toma a tierra del electrodo a cualquier
toma a tierra del motor, tire del arrancador de retroceso para ver si
la chispa pasa de un electrodo a otro.
E) Si no da chispa, será necesario cambiar la bujía.
F) Una vez que haya cambiado la bujía, repita las instrucciones
indicadas anteriormente en el punto D).
G) Si el proceso se desenvuelve con normalidad, vuelva a instalar la
bujía y ponga en marcha el motor según se indica en las
instrucciones. En caso contrario, consulte a su distribuidor
encargado del servicio técnico.
H) En caso de que el motor siga sin ponerse en marcha, llévelo a su
distribuidor encargado del servicio técnico.
PROBLEMA: El generador no tiene potencia.
1. Vuelva a regular los cortacircuitos.
2. Compruebe los juegos de cable y los alargadores.
3. Consulte a su distribuidor encargado del servicio técnico.
GARANTIA LIMITADA
La John Deere Consumer Products, Inc. le garantiza al comprador original al por menor que este Producto Homelite® se encuentra libre de defectos
de material y mano de obra, y acepta reparar o reemplazar, a discreción de John Deere Consumer Products, Inc's cualesquiera productos defectuosos

PUESTA EN MARCHA Y PARADA
Compruebe el aceite del motor antes de ponerlo en marcha.
1. Retire la carga, desconectando los enchufes de los tomacorrientes.
2. Ponga el conmutador «OFF-ON» («desactivación-activación») en la
posición ON.
3. Mueva la palanca del difusor a la posición de CHOKE (difusor).
Consulte el dibujo.
4. Agarre el arrancador firmemente y tire del mismo lentamente hasta
que note que ofrece resistencia. A continuación, tire del mismo
rápidamente. Si el motor no se pone en marcha al primer intento, abra
ligeramente el difusor y vuelva a intentarlo.
5. Una vez que el motor se haya puesto en marcha, abra el difusor de
forma gradual hasta la posición de RUN (en marcha).
6. Para parar: ponga el conmutador «OFF-ON» en la posición OFF
(desactivación).
NOTA:
Si el motor está caliente, coloque el difusor en la posición de
«RUN» (en marcha).
FUNCIONAMIENTO
APLICACION DE LA CARGA
El generador no debería exceder su capacidad de carga durante períodos
de tiempo largos. Asegúrese de que los requisitos de voltaje, amperaje
y frecuencia del equipo que se va a utilizar correspondan a la capacidad
del generador. El generador no deberá funcionar con capacidades
intermitentes durante más de 10 minutos por cada hora de funcionamiento.
Se pretende con ello evitar daños.
TAMAÑO DEL CABLE
Un voltaje bajo puede ocasionar daños en el equipo. Para evitar las
caídas de tensión excesivas entre el generador y el equipo, el cable o
alargador deberán tener la longitud adecuada según las circunstancias.
PANEL DE CONTROL
El generador está equipado con un tomacorrientes dúplex del tipo NEMA
5-15R con una capacidad de 120 voltios y 15 amperios, con ranura
paralela y con con un cortacircuitos ajustable de tipo térmico. El
cortacircuitos ofrece protección contra las sobrecargas severas y los
cortocircuitos. En caso de que salte el cortacircuitos, se deberá determinar
la causa y subsanar el problema antes de continuar utilizando el equipo.

MOTOR:
Consulte los procedimientos para mantenimiento que se indican en el
Manual del Motor.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Cuando no se vaya a utilizar el generador durante períodos de tiempo
prolongados deberá ser almacenado. Siga estas instrucciones para
almacenarlo:
1. Drene completamente el depósito de la gasolina.
2. Ponga en marcha el motor y déjelo funcionar hasta que se haya
consumido el combustible existente en el carburador y en las líneas
de suministro de gasolina.
3. Retire la bujía y ponga entre 3 y 5 cc de aceite dentro del orificio
existente para la misma en la cabeza del cilindro.
GENERADOR
Mantenga limpios todos los ventiladores.
Mantenga el equipo limpio.
Compruebe periódicamente las abrazaderas y apriételas.
4. Coloque la bujía y tire lentamente del asa del arrancador unas
cuantas veces para distribuir el aceite.
5. Vuelva a apretar todos los pernos y tuercas.
6. Limpie la superficie exterior del generador y aplique algún
compuesto antioxidante.
7. Almacene el generador en un lugar seco y bien ventilado.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD
INTERRUPTOR PARA CORRIENTE DE
CORTOCIRCUITO CON TOMA A TIERRA
Como protección adicional contra los riesgos de descargas eléctricas
procedentes de conexiones defectuosas en elementos tales casos como
herramientas, cables o cajas de empalmes, le sugerimos que considere la
utilización de un GFCI («Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter» - Interruptor para
corriente de cortocircuito con toma a tierra). El GFCI es un dispositivo que
corta la electricidad proveniente bien del suministro eléctrico público o bien
del generador, mediante un tipo especial de cortacircuitos que entra en
funcionamiento cuando se produce un defecto en la toma a tierra. POR
EJEMPLO: si una persona está en contacto con el suelo y toca una
herramienta defectuosa o un cable sin recubrimiento que forma parte de un
juego de cable que está dañado, es posible que llegue a recibir una
descarga eléctrica. El GFCI registraría esta descarga e interrumpiría el
suministro eléctrico antes de que la mencionada persona sufriera daños
físicos de seriedad.
El GFCI puede ser utilizado en el caso de generadores que cuentan con un
cable neutral conectado a tierra internamente en el armazón, el cual debe
estar conectado a tierra de forma adecuada. El GFCI no funciona en
generadores que no tienen la conexión a tierra del punto neutro al armazón.
Los generadores de Homelite cuentan con cables neutrales con conexión
a tierra en el armazón.
PRECAUCION
Para que el GFCI funcione correctamente, es necesario que el generador
tenga la toma a tierra adecuada. Siga los procedimientos correctos
para la toma a tierra que se detallan a continuación.
NOTA:
Existen casos en los que el GFCI no proporciona ninguna protección contra
los riesgos de descarga eléctrica. POR EJEMPLO: si una persona toca dos
conductores, o más, de un juego de cable dañado sin encontrarse en
contacto directo con el suelo, es posible que llegue a recibir una descarga.
El hecho de que no existe un circuito fijo para la toma a tierra, a través del
cual pueda pasar la corriente, hace que el GFCI no entre en funcionamiento,
creando con ello la posibilidad de que ocurran daños físicos importantes.
El GFCI no es más que una precaución de seguridad adicional. Es
imprescindible que usted siga las medidas de seguridad adecuadas, las
prácticas eléctricas correctas y que mantenga los cables, el equipo
eléctrico y las conexiones en buen estado.
TOMA A TIERRA DEL GENERADOR
En todos los casos se deberán utilizar la tuerca con orejetas y el
terminal de la toma a tierra situados en el armazón para conectar el
generador a una fuente de toma a tierra adecuada. Se deberá utilizar
un cable de tamaño #8 para efectuar el circuito de la toma a tierra.
Conecte el terminal del cable para la toma a tierra entre la arandela de
seguridad y la tuerca con orejetas y apriete la tuerca completamente.
Conecte firmemente el otro extremo del cable a una fuente de toma a
tierra adecuada.
En el Código Eléctrico Nacional («National Electric Code») se indican
algunos métodos prácticos para establecer una buena fuente para la
toma a tierra. Los ejemplos que se indican a continuación ilustran
algunos de estos métodos para establecer una toma a tierra adecuada.
TOMA A TIERRA DEL GENERADOR - Continuación.
Como fuente para la toma a tierra se puede utilizar un conducto metálico
subterráneo para el paso de agua que se encuentre en contacto directo con
el suelo y que tenga una extensión mínima de 10 pies. En caso de que no
disponga de un tubo subterráneo, se puede utilizar un tubo o barra con una
longitud de 8 pies como fuente para la toma a tierra. El tubo debería tener
un tamaño estándar de 3/4 pulgadas como mínimo, y la superficie exterior
debería ser resistente a la corrosión. En caso de que se utilice una barra
de acero o hierro, el diámetro de la misma debería ser de 5/8 pulgadas como
mínimo. Si se utiliza una barra de un material que no sea hierro, el diámetro
de la misma debe ser de 1/2 pulgada como mínimo, y debe estar clasificado
como un material adecuado para efectuar la toma a tierra. Introduzca la
barra o el tubo a una profundidad de 8 pies. En caso de que el fondo
empiece a ser rocoso a una profundidad inferior a cuatro pies, deberá
enterrar el tubo o la barra en una zanja. Todas las herramientas e
instrumentos eléctricos operados desde este generador deberán tener la
toma a tierra adecuada. Para ello se habrá de utilizar un tercer cable, el cual
deberá tener un «Aislamiento Doble». Se recomienda que:
1. Utilice aparatos eléctricos que incorporen cables de tres espigas para
el suministro eléctrico.
2. Utilice un cable alargador con una cabeza de tres espigas para asegurar
la continuidad de la protección de la toma a tierra desde el generador
hasta el aparato.
Le recomendamos igualmente que se cumplan todos los reglamentos
nacionales, regionales y locales relacionados con las especificaciones de
toma a tierra que resulten aplicables.

Si este generador va a ser utilizado como servicio de reserva para casos de
emergencia, será necesario que incorpore un conmutador de transferencia
de línea entre el servicio de suministro eléctrico público y el generador. El
conmutador de transferencia no sólo evita que la línea de suministro
eléctrico público alimente al generador, sino que además impide que el
generador alimente a las líneas de suministro de la compañía eléctrica. Se
pretende con ello proteger a las personas encargadas del servicio cuando
se encuentren trabajando en una línea que pueda estar dañada. ESTA
INSTALACION DEBERIA SER EFECTUADA POR UN ELECTRICISTA
CERTIFICADO. SE DEBERA CUMPLIR CON TODOS LOS CODIGOS
LOCALES.

No mezcle el aceite con la gasolina.
COMBUSTIBLE RECOMENDADO: Utilice cualquier tipo de gasolina para
vehículos. Para uso normal, compre combustible que mantenga las
condiciones adecuadas durante un período de 30 días. Esto permitirá
asegurar que el combustible mantiene todas sus cualidades y que el índice
de volatilidad del mismo sea el adecuado para la estación del año. Consulte
las instrucciones sobre funcionamiento y mantenimiento del motor para la
utilización de combustibles oxigenados.
CUANDO PROCEDA A LLENAR EL DEPOSITO:
1. Limpie el área próxima al tapón de la gasolina y aflójelo lentamente.
Coloque el tapón en una superficie limpia.
2. Introduzca cuidadosamente la gasolina en el depósito, llenándolo hasta
aproximadamente 1/4 pulgada (5mm) del tope. Procure no derramarla.
3. Vuelva a poner inmediatamente el tapón en su sitio y apriételo con la
mano. Limpie la gasolina que se haya derramado, si fuese necesario.
NO PONGA EN MARCHA EL MOTOR SI HAY GASOLINA DERRAMADA.
NO INTENTE PONER LA UNIDAD EN FUNCIONAMIENTO HASTA QUE
SE HAYA EVAPORADO TODA LA GASOLINA.

INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
• Si este generador va a ser utilizado en servicios de reserva para casos de
emergencia, será necesario instalar un conmutador de transferencia
manual entre el medidor del suministro público de electricidad y el panel de
distribución del edificio. El conmutador de transferencia aísla el generador
y la carga de la línea de suministro eléctrico, evitando de esta manera los
peligros que pudieran derivarse en el caso de que la electricidad volviera
a alimentar las líneas de suministro público. Esta instalación debería ser
efectuada por un electricista certificado.
• No ponga nunca la máquina en marcha en una atmósfera que contenga
sustancias explosivas, cerca de materiales combustibles o en lugares
donde la ventilación sea insuficiente para extraer los gases de escape. Los
gases de escape pueden causar graves lesiones e incluso la muerte..
• Cuando ponga en marcha la máquina, asegúrese de que no haya ningún objeto
que pudiera llegar a ser golpeado por los brazos o piernas de los operarios.
• Asegúrese de que el conmutador de los instrumentos eléctricos se
encuentre en la posición de «OFF» (desactivado) antes de ser conectados
a la máquina.

o instrumentos que tengan enchufes de tres espigas deberán quedar
conectados a cables alargadores o a tomacorrientes eléctricos con tres
espigas. Antes de poner en marcha cualquier equipo eléctrico, asegúrese
de que esté en buenas condiciones.
• EVITE EL USO DE ESTE EQUIPO EN ESPACIOS CERRADOS.
Los espacios cerrados con ventilación insuficiente pueden albergar gases
peligrosos. El funcionamiento de motores a gasolina en dichos espacios
implica riesgo de explosión y/o asfixia.
MANTENIMIENTO
• Utilice únicamente piezas de repuesto de HOMELITE. El incumplimiento
de esta recomendación puede dar origen a un rendimiento inadecuado, así
como a posibles daños físicos.
• No ponga nunca la máquina en marcha sin que todas las protecciones estén
colocadas adecuadamente.
• Pare el motor y desconecte el cable de la bujía antes de trabajar en
cualquiera de las piezas de esta máquina.
• Mantenga limpios tanto la máquina como todos los equipos asociados con
la misma. Efectúe las operaciones de servicio y mantenimiento que
resulten necesarias.
LLENADO DE COMBUSTIBLE (¡NO FUMAR AL HACERLO!)
• Siga todos los reglamentos de seguridad relativos a la manipulación segura
de combustible.
• Mantenga el combustible en recipientes que reúnan las debidas condiciones
de seguridad.
• Utilice un embudo en caso de que el recipiente no venga con un tubo.
• No llene el depósito de gasolina mientras el motor está en marcha.
• Efectúe el llenado del depósito en espacios abiertos únicamente. Mientras
llena el depósito, manténgase alejado de fuentes de calor, chispas o llamas
abiertas. Limpie cuidadosamente el combustible derramado antes de poner
el motor en marcha.
