IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS :

WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN
CHILDREN ARE PRESENT, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD
ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and
before cleaning.

• Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.

• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink. Do
not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:

• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children,
invalids or disabled persons.

• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use
attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically any attachments not
provided with the unit.

• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable or housing. If it is
not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, return it to Homedics
Service Centre for examination and repair.

• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.

• Do not carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as handle.

• To disconnect, remove plug from outlet.

• This appliance is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.

• Only set on dry surfaces. Do not place on surface wet from water or
cleaning solvents.

Using the Auto-Timer

1. When the power is on and you are listening to a nature sound you may set a timer so
the unit will automatically turn off.

2. Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig 3) until the corresponding LED illuminates next
to the time of your choice, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The unit will automatically shut off
after the selected time and the POWER LED (Fig 3) will remain lit showing you it is
still in timer mode. If you choose to listen to another timed sound press the timer
button to select a desired time. Or if you choose to listen to the sounds continuously,
turn the unit off and then back on.

Note: Do not select the TIMER button if you wish to listen to the sounds
continuously.

SAFETY CAUTIONS :

• Never cover the appliance when it is in operation.

• This unit should not be used by children without adult supervision.

• Always keep the cord away from high temperature and fire.

• Do not lift, carry, hang, or pull the product by the power cord.

• If the adaptor sustains damage, you must stop using this product immediately and
contact the HoMedics Service Centre.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE :

1. Unpack the product and check to make sure everything is included (Fig 1).

2. This unit is powered by a DC adaptor, which is included or by four “AA” batteries,
which are not included.

3. Attach the DC adaptor jack to the base of the unit and insert the cord into a 230V
power supply.

4. To install batteries, remove compartment cover. Insert four “AA” batteries into the
compartment on the bottom according to the polarity direction indicated. Replace
cover and snap into place.

Note: Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline with
carbonzinc or old batteries with new ones).

Listening to Nature Sounds

1. Power the unit on by turning the VOLUME knob in the clockwise direction.

2. Press the button of the sound you wish to listen to (Fig 2). The green POWER LED
will indicate the unit is on (Fig 3).

3. To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob (Fig 3) to your desired level.

4. When finished listening to the sounds you may turn them off by turning the VOLUME
knob to the off position (Fig 3).

Note: When the unit is turned on it will always default to the last sound used.

• Toujours débrancher l’appareil de la prise électrique immédiatement après utilisation
et avant tout nettoyage.

• Ne pas tenter d’atteindre un appareil qui est tombé dans l’eau. Le débrancher
immédiatement.

• Ne pas poser ou ranger l’appareil dans un endroit où il pourrait tomber ou basculer
dans une baignoire ou un évier. Ne pas placer ni laisser tomber dans l’eau ou dans
tout autre liquide.

ATTENTION

Pour limiter le risque de brûlures, feu, choc électrique ou blessures corporelles :

• Une étroite surveillance est nécessaire lorsque cet appareil est utilisé par ou à
proximité d’enfants, de personnes invalides ou handicapées.

• Utiliser cet appareil selon le mode d’emploi inclus et spécifique à celui-ci. Ne pas
utiliser d’accessoires non recommandés par HoMedics et en particulier tout
accessoire non fourni avec l’appareil.

• Ne jamais branchercet appareilencas de cordon, prise,câblage ou boîtier endommagé.
En casdefonctionnementincorrect,dechute oud’endommagement, le retourner au
Centre de ServiceHoMedics pourcontrôle et réparation.

• Maintenir le cordon à l’écart des surfaces chauffées.

• Ne jamais faire tomber ou insérer tout objet dans l’une ou l’autre des ouvertures.

• Ne pas faire fonctionner dans des endroits où des produits aérosols (vaporisateurs)
sont utilisés ou de l’oxygène est administré.

• Ne pastransporterl’appareilàl’aidedu cordon ou en l’utilisant comme unepoignée.

• Pour le débrancher, retirer la fiche de la prise murale.

• Cet appareil est conçu uniquement pour un usage en intérieur. Ne pas utiliser à
l’extérieur.

• A installer uniquement sur une surface sèche. Ne pas poser sur une surface
humidifiée à l’eau ou à l’aide d’un solvent.

Storage

Utiliser le minuteur automatique

1. Quand l’appareil est allumé et que vous écoutez un bruit de la nature, vous pouvez
paramétrer un minuteur pour que l’appareil s’arrête automatiquement.

2. Tourner le bouton TIMER (Fig. 3) jusqu’à ce que le voyant LED correspondant
s’éclaire à côté de la durée sélectionnée (15, 30 ou 60 minutes). L’appareil s’éteindra
automatiquement à la fin de la durée sélectionnée et le voyant POWER LED (Fig. 3)
restera allumé, vous indiquant que le mode minuteur est toujours activé. Si vous
choisissez d’écouter un autre son programmé, appuyer sur le bouton minuteur pour
sélectionner la durée souhaitée. Ou, si vous choisissez d’écouter les sons en
continu, éteindre l’appareil puis le rallumer.

Remarque: Ne pas sélectionner le bouton TIMER si vous souhaitez écouter les
sons en continu.

PRÉCAUTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ :

• Ne jamais couvrir l’appareil lorsqu’il est en marche.

• Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des enfants sans la surveillance d’un adulte.

• Toujours maintenir le cordon à l’écart d’une source de température élevée et du feu.

• Ne pas soulever, transporter, suspendre ou tirer le produit par le cordon
d’alimentation.

• Si l’adaptateur est endommagé, vous devez cesser immédiatement d’utiliser ce
produit et contacter le Centre de Service HoMedics.

MODE D’EMPLOI :

1. Déballer le produit et vérifier que tous les éléments sont inclus (Fig. 1).

2. Cet appareil est alimenté par un adaptateur CC, fourni, ou par quatre piles « AA »
(non fournies).

3. Connecter la prise de l’adaptateur CC à la base de l’appareil et brancher le cordon à
une source d’alimentation 230V.

4. Pour installer les piles, retirer le couvercle du compartiment. Insérer les quatre piles
« AA » dans le compartiment situé sous l’appareil en respectant le sens des
polarités. Remettre le couvercle et fixer en place.

Remarque: Ne pas mélanger ensemble différents types de piles (ex., des piles
alcalines et zinc-carbone ou des piles usagées avec des neuves).

Ecouter les sons de la nature

1. Allumer l’appareil en tournant le bouton VOLUME dans le sens horaire.

2. Appuyer sur la touche du son que vous souhaitez écouter (Fig. 2). Le voyant
POWER LED vert indique que l’appareil est allumé (Fig. 3).

3. Pour régler le volume, tourner le bouton VOLUME (Fig. 3) selon le niveau désiré.

4. Pour cesser l’écoute des sons, vous pouvez les arrêter en tournant le bouton
VOLUME sur la position Off (Fig. 3).

Remarque: Lors de la mise en marche de l’appareil, celui-ci se règle toujours
par défaut sur le dernier son utilisé.

• Nicht in Bereichen verwenden, wo Aerosol (Spray)-Produkte oder Sauerstoff
verwendet werden.

• Das Gerät nicht am Kabel tragen oder das Kabel als Griff verwenden.

• Bei Nichtverwendung den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.

• Dieses Gerät ist nur für Innenanwendungen vorgesehen. Nicht im Freien verwenden.

• Nur auf trockenen Flächen aufstellen, auf denen sich kein Wasser oder feuchte
Reinigungsmittelrückstände befinden.

Rangement

Verwendung des Autotimers

1. Durch Einstellung des Timers kann ausgewählt werden, wann sich das
eingeschaltete Gerät automatisch abschalten soll.

2. Die TIMER-Taste (Abb. 3) so lange drücken, bis die entsprechende LED neben der
gewünschten Zeit leuchtet. Zur Auswahl stehen 15, 30 oder 60 Minuten. Das Gerät wird
nach der ausgewählten Zeit automatisch abgeschaltet. Die LED-BETRIEBSANZEIGE
(Abb. 3) wird jedoch weiterhin leuchten, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass sich das Gerät
noch im Timer-Modus befindet. Wenn eine weitere Betriebsdauer ausgewählt werden
soll, hierzu die Timer-Taste erneut zur Auswahl der gewünschten Zeit drücken. Zur
Deaktivierung der Timereinstellung das Gerät aus- und wieder einschalten.

Hinweis: Die TIMER-Taste nicht verwenden, wenn das Gerät ohne Zeitbegrenzung
eingeschaltet bleiben soll.

SICHERHEITSVORKEHRUNGEN :

• Das Gerät während des Betriebs niemals abdecken.

• Dieses Gerät sollte ohne Beaufsichtigung eines Erwachsenen nicht von Kindern
verwendet werden.

• Das Kabel stets von hohen Temperaturen und Feuer fern halten.

• Das Gerät nicht am Netzkabel anheben, tragen, aufhängen oder ziehen.

• Sollte der Adapter beschädigt werden, die Verwendung des Geräts sofort einstellen
und das HoMedics Kundendienst-Center kontaktieren.

BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG :

1. Das Gerät auspacken und überprüfen, ob alle Teile vorhanden sind (Abb. 1).

2. Der Betrieb dieses Geräts erfolgt über einen im Lieferumfang enthaltenen
Gleichstromadapter oder über vier AA-Batterien (nicht mitgeliefert).

3. Den Gleichstromadapterstecker in das Gerät stecken und das Kabel an eine 230V
Stromversorgung anschließen.

4. Zur Installation der Batterien die Abdeckung am Batteriefach abnehmen. Vier
AA-Batterien in das unten am Gerät befindliche Batteriefach einlegen und dabei auf
die korrekte Polarität achten. Die Abdeckung wieder anbringen und sicherstellen,
dass diese richtig einschnappt.

Hinweis: Es dürfen keine verschiedenen Batterietypen verwendet werden
(wie beispielsweise Alkali- mit Zink-Kohle-Batterien oder verbrauchte mit
neuen Batterien).

Aktivierung der Naturgeräusche

1. Das Gerät durch Drehen des VOLUME (Lautstärke)-Reglers im Uhrzeigersinn
einschalten.

2. Das gewünschte Geräusch durch Drücken der dazugehörigen Taste auswählen
(Abb. 2). Mit der grünen LED-BETRIEBSANZEIGE wird angegeben, dass das Gerät
eingeschaltet ist (Abb. 3).

3. Zur Lautstärkeregulierung den VOLUME (Lautstärke)-Regler (Abb. 3) entsprechend
drehen.

4. Zum Ausschalten der Naturgeräusche den VOLUME (Lautstärke)-Regler in Aus­Stellung bringen (Abb. 3).

Hinweis: Beim Einschalten des Geräts wird automatisch das zuletzt verwendete
Geräusch ausgewählt.
