Assembly and Instructions for Use
1. Unpack the product and check to make sure the adaptor is included (Fig 1).
2. This unit is powered by a AC adaptor, which is included or by four “AA” batteries, which
are not included.
3. Attach the AC adaptor jack to the base of the unit and insert the cord into a 120V
household outlet.
4. To install batteries, use a coin to turn the battery compar tment door screw located on
the bottom of the product to the open position (Fig. 4). Open the battery compartment
door. Insert four “AA” batteries into the compar tment according to the polarity direction
indicated. Close the compartment door, use a coin to turn door screw to the locked
position.
Listening to Nature Sounds
1. Power the unit on by turning the VOLUME knob in the clockwise direction.
2. Press the button of the sound you wish to listen to (Fig 2). The green POWER LED will
indicate the unit is on (Fig 3).
3. To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob (Fig 3) to your desired level.
4. When finished listening to the sounds you may turn them off by turning the VOLUME
knob to the off position (Fig 3).
Note: When the unit is turned on it will always default to the last sound used.
Using the Auto-Timer
When the power is on and you are listening to a nature sound you may set a timer so the
unit will automatically turn off.
1. Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig 3) until the corresponding LED illuminates next
to the time of your choice, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The unit will automatically shut off
after the selected time and the POWER LED (Fig 3) will remain lit showing you it is still
in timer mode. If you choose to listen to another timed sound press the timer button to
select a desired time. Or if you choose to listen to the sounds continuously, turn the unit
off and then back on.
Note: Do not select the TIMER button if you wish to listen to the sounds continuously.
Maintenance
To Store
You may leave the unit on display, or you can store it in its box or a cool, dry place.
To Clean
Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. NEVER use liquids or abrasive cleaner to clean.
Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void users authority to operate this device.
Battery Precautions:
1. Use AA alkaline batteries only. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Replace all batteries at the same time.
3. Clean the battery contacts and the contacts of the device prior to battery installation with a dry cloth.
4. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ /–).
5. Remove batteries from the unit when it is not to be used for an extended period of time.
6. Remove depleted batteries from the unit promptly. Dispose of used batteries safely. Keep all batteries
away from children. Batteries are small objects and could be ingested. If swallowed, contact a
physician at once. Do not open batteries or dispose of in fire.
7. Do not mix old and new batteries.
8. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
