remover will enhance your oral hygiene. The
rapid movement of the SoniDent disrupts
plaque beyond the bristle tips for a more thorough clean with less effort.
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow this procedure before you use
SoniDent for the first time
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the
proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any
way.
1. Plug the charger base into a 120-volt outlet.
Place the SoniDent handle into the base
and allow it to charge for at least 16 hours
before using it for the first time.
2. The charger indicator light on the handle
will glow red when the toothbrush is
correctly placed in the charger base. This is
an indication that handle is charging. The
indicator will turn off when the toothbrush is
removed from the base.
3. The optimum voltage for charging is 120V.
4. To maintain the unit’s full performance, it
should always be replaced back on the
charging base after use.
Note: Charge for at least 16 hours before
using the unit for the first time.

HOW TO USE SONIDENT
1. Attach the brush head to the handle by positioning
the brush head at a 90-degree angle to the left of the
handle (See Figure A). Turn the brush head counter
clockwise one-quarter turn, so the bristles are facing
the same direction as the ON/OFF button, and the
brush head will snap into place (See Figure B).
2. Before brushing, wet the brush head to moisten,
then apply toothpaste.
3. To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to your
mouth before switching the SoniDent ON. Push the
ON/OFF button to activate the unit. The indicator
light will glow red when the power is on.
4. SoniDent has been designed with 3 different speed
levels to adjust to your own sensitivity level. Scroll
through the speeds (low, medium, high) by tapping
the arrow button.
5. Guide the brush head to your teeth, placing it at a
45-degree angle towards the gum line. Gently guide
the brush head from tooth to tooth, spending a few
seconds on the surface of each tooth.
6. Brush the gum lines as well as the teeth, starting
with the outside teeth and gums, followed by the
insides and finish with the chewing surfaces. Ensure
that you spend equal time in all 4 quadrants of your
mouth.
7. Do not press to hard or scrub with this unit. The
sonic waves penetrate difficult-to-clean areas,
removing plaque and bacteria.
8. The auto timer will automatically turn the unit off after
the 2-minute dentist recommended brushing time.
Note: To turn the unit off before the 2 minutes have
elapsed, simply press the OFF button.
9. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water.
10.Remove brush head and rinse under running water.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. After use, rinse the brush head for several seconds
under running water with the handle switched on.
2. Switch off the handle and take off the brush head.

and wipe them dry. Note: Be sure to point the
handle downward (upside down) when rinsing. Do
not allow water to drain down into the handle.
4. After cleaning place the handle back on the
charging base. Note: For optimal charging base
stability, run the power cord through the right or left
slot on the back of the charging base.
5. When SoniDent is not in use for an extended
period, unplug the cord and store.
6. Clean the charger base periodically with a soft cloth
or paper towel. The charger base must be dry
before plugging it into an electrical outlet.
MEDICAL SAFEGUARDS
Please note the following instructions for your continued
safety.
1. Similar to starting any new oral hygiene product,
contact your dentist before using SoniDent if you have
had oral or periodontal surgery.
2. Contact your dentist if excessive bleeding occurs or if
bleeding continues after 2 weeks.
3. This product is designed for cleaning teeth and gums
only. Do not use for any other purpose.
Warning: Individuals with pacemakers should consult
a physician prior to use.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
REMOVING AND DISPOSING OF NI-CAD BATTERIES
SoniDent is equipped with long-lasting, rechargeable
nickel-cadmium batteries. To help protect our environment,
they should be removed at the end of the unit’s life for safe
disposal. Batteries CANNOT be replaced.
To remove the batteries before discarding product:
1. Place the handle in the charging base and turn
counter clockwise to remove the cap.
2. Slide the battery out of the SoniDent handle and
remove.
3. Dispose of the cell-pack in compliance with national or
local regulations for environmental protection and
recycling of raw materials. Do not dispose of the
cell-pack by burning or incineration.
Caution:

and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original
purchase, except as noted below.
This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damage caused by
misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized
accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics. This warranty is effective
only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA. A product
that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any
country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by
these modifications is not covered under warranty. HoMedics shall not
be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special
damages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those
implied warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total
duration of one year from the original purchase date.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either hand
deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of
purchase), postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount
of $5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.
Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, your
product and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriate to replace
your product, HoMedics will replace the product with the same product or a comparable product at HoMedics’ option. Warranty is solely

SoniDent, el remover de placa fácil de usar que
mejorará su higiene bucal. El movimiento rápido
del SoniDent rompe la placa más allá de la punta
de las cerdas para una limpieza más profunda
con menos esfuerzo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE CARGA
Siga este procedimiento antes de usar por
primera vez su SoniDent.
Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este
artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una paleta
es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe puede
enchufarse en un tomacorriente polarizado sólo
de una forma. Si éste no entra totalmente en el
tomacorriente, invierta la posición del enchufe. Si
aún no entra, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale un tomacorriente adecuado. No cambie el enchufe en modo
alguno.
1. Enchufe la base-cargador en un tomacorriente
de 120 voltios. Coloque el mango del
SoniDent en la base y déjelo cargarse por no
menos de 16 horas antes de usarlo por
primera vez.
2. La luz indicadora del cargador brilla con color
rojo cuando el cepillo está colocado correctamente en la base-cargador. Eso indica que el
mango está cargándose. El indicador se
apagará cuando el cepillo se retire de la base.
3. El voltaje más indicado para la carga es
120 voltios.
4. Para mantener el mejor funcionamiento de la
unidad, ésta siempre debe volver a colocarse
en la base-cargador después de usarla.
Atención: Cargue la unidad por no menos de
16 horas antes de usarla por primera vez.

CÓMO USAR EL SONIDENT
1. Sujete la cabeza del cepillo al mango colocando la
cabeza a un ángulo de 900 hacia la izquierda del
mango (Ver Fig. A). Gire la cabeza del cepillo un cuarto
de giro en sentido antihorario, en modo que las cerdas
queden en la misma dirección del botón on/off, y la
cabeza de cepillo quedará fijada en su lugar (Ver Fig. B).
2. Antes de cepillarse, moje la cabeza del cepillo para
humedecerlo, luego aplique la pasta dental.
3. Para evitar salpicaduras, dirija la cabeza del cepillo
hacia sus dientes antes de encender el SoniDent.
Oprima el botón "on/off" para encender la unidad. La
luz indicadora brillará en rojo cuando la unidad está
encendida.
4. El SoniDent ha sido diseñado con 3 diferentes niveles
de velocidad para que usted lo pueda ajustar a su
propio nivel de sensibilidad. Cambie las velocidades
(baja, media y alta) presionando el botón con flecha.
5. Oriente la cabeza del cepillo a sus dientes, colocándola
a un ángulo de 45 grados hacía la línea de la encía.
Dirija suavemente la cabeza del cepillo de un diente a
otro, dejándola unos segundos sobre la superficie de
cada diente.
6. Además de cepillar los dientes cepille también la línea
de la encía, comenzando desde la parte exterior de los
dientes y la encía, siguiendo por la parte interior y
finalizando con las superficies de masticación.
Asegúrese de emplear la misma cantidad de tiempo en
los 4 cuadrantes de su boca.
7. No presione demasiado fuerte ni frote con esta unidad.
La ondas sónicas penetran las áreas difíciles de limpiar,
quitando la placa y las bacterias.
8. El cronómetro automático apagará automáticamente la
unidad luego de los 2 minutos de cepillado recomendados por el dentista. Atención: Para apagar la unidad
antes de que transcurran los 2 minutos simplemente
oprima el botón "off" (encedido/apagado).

9. Enjuáguese bien la boca con agua.
10.Retire la cabeza del cepillo y enjuáguela en agua
corriente.
11.Las cabezas del cepillo deben reemplazarse cada 2-3
meses para asegurar un rendimiento óptimo.

para este modelo están disponibles en su distribuidor
local o consulte www.homedics.com para obtener una
lista de los distribuidores que ofrecen estas cabezas de

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
1. Después de usar, enjuague la cabeza del cepillo por
varios segundos bajo de agua corriente con el mango
encendido.
2. Apague el mango y retire la cabeza del cepillo.
3. Enjuague ambas partes por separado bajo agua corriente y séquelas. Atención: Asegúrese de dirigir el

4. Después de limpiar, coloque el mango nuevamente en
la base-cargador. Atención: Para la máxima estabilidad
de la base-cargador, pase el cable a través de la ranura
derecha o izquierda en la parte de atrás de la base-cargador.
5. Si no se usa el SoniDent por un largo período de
tiempo, desenchufe el cable y guarde la unidad.
6. Limpie la base periódicamente con un paño suave o
una toalla de papel. La base debe estar seca antes de
enchufarla en un tomacorriente eléctrico.
PRECAUCIONES MÉDICAS
Tenga en cuenta las siguientes instrucciones para su
seguridad.
1. Al igual que con cualquier producto nuevo de higiene bucal,
contacte a su dentista antes de usar SoniDent si ha tenido
una intervención quirúrgica bucal o periodontal.
2. Contacte a su dentista si aparece un sangrado excesivo o si
el mismo continúa después de 2 semanas.
3. Este producto está concebido para limpiar dientes y encías
solamente. No utilice el producto con ningún otro fin.

consultar a un médico antes de usarlo.
INSTRUCCIONES ESPECIALES
SONIDENT ESTÁ EQUIPADO CON BATERÍAS RECARGABLES DE NÍQUEL-CADMIO.
Para ayudar a proteger nuestro medio ambiente, éstas deben
ser quitadas al final de la vida útil de la unidad, para ser
desechadas de un modo seguro. Las baterías NO SE PUEDEN
reemplazar.
Para quitar las baterías antes de desechar el producto:
1. Coloque el mango en la base-cargador y gírelo en sentido
antihorario para quitar la tapa.
2. Deslice la batería fuera del mango del SoniDent y retírela.
3. Deseche el paquete de la célula de acuerdo con las
regulaciones locales o nacionales de protección al medio
ambiente y reciclado de materia prima. No deseche el
paquete de la célula quemándolo o incinerándolo.
Precaución:
Abrir el mango
destruirá este
artefacto y anulará
la garantía.
Atención: Durante
los primeros días
de uso, es posible
