If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult a doctor before using this appliance.
• Only use this appliance for the intended use as described in this booklet.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• This appliance should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls.
• DO NOT use attachments not recommended by HoMedics.
• Keep away from heated surfaces.
• Individuals with pacemakers and pregnant women should consult a doctor before using this appliance.
• DO NOT use on an infant, invalid or on a sleeping or unconscious person.
• DO NOT use on sensitive, very dry or damaged skin or directly on swollen or inflamed areas or skin eruptions. If you have circulatory or skin problems consult your doctor before using.
• Do not use on irritated, sunburned or chapped skin, or on any area with dermatological problems.
• Use should be easy and painless. If you experience nail or skin irritation, or hand discomfort when using this product, discontinue use. If a more extreme reaction occurs, consult your doctor.
• If you feel any discomfort whilst using this appliance, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
• For external use only.
• This is a non-professional appliance, designed for personal use.
• Do not use for longer than the recommended time of 5 minutes.
BATTERY CAUTIONS:
• Follow equipment instructions carefully and always use the recommended type of battery.
• For best results use AA size LR6 Alkaline batteries.
• Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types or brands.
• We do not recommend the use of rechargeable batteries.
• DO NOT put batteries in fire.
• DO NOT puncture, crush, dent or dismantle batteries.
• DO NOT attempt to revive primary batteries by heating, charging or other means.
• DO NOT allow children to fit batteries without adult supervision.
• DO NOT short circuit batteries by connecting the + and – terminals together.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of young children.
• Seek medical advice if you believe a battery has been swallowed.
FITTING THE BATTERIES
The Facial Cleansing Brush uses two AA s
ize LR6 Alkaline batteries.
• To fit the batteries, remove the battery cover by pulling the battery cover away f
rom the device until the two parts
c
omeapart.
• Insert the batteries taking care to observe the correct polarity +ve to +ve and –ve t
o –ve (Fig 1)
Replace the battery cover by firmly pushing it into position.
MAINTENANCE
Regular care and cleaning is essential to maintain your Facial Cleansing Brush in peak working condition. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Regularly check the device for signs of damage.
To Store
Store attachment and unit in a safe, dry place, out of children’s reach.
To Clean
Clean the unit and brush head after each use. Clean the outside of the product using a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before using. To clean the brush head, remove from the unit and wash in warm soapy water. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners. DO NOT use petroleum based or flammable cleaning agents because of fire risk. Dependent on use we recommend that you replace your brush head every 3-4 months to ensure the brushes performance is maintained. For replacement parts contact your local Homedics Service Centre.
Battery directive
This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in the domestic
waste as they contain substances which can be damaging to the environment and health. Please dispose of batteries in designated collection points.
WEEE explanation
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
