TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
(Valid in USA only)
HoMedics, Inc., guarantees this product free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase,
except as noted below.
This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damage caused by
misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever
that are beyond the control of HoMedics. This warranty is effective only
if the product is purchased and operated in the USA. A product that
requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any
country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by
these modifications is not covered under warranty. HoMedics shall not
be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special
damages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those
implied warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the
total duration of two years from the original purchase date.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either hand
deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount of
$5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.
Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, your
product and return it to you, postpaid. Warranty is solely through
HoMedics Service Center. Service of this product by anyone other than
HoMedics Service Center voids warranty.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have
additional rights which may vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:

To reduce the risk of electric shock:
• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using
and before cleaning.
• Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
• Do not use while bathing or showering.
• Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or
sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). The plug
will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the
proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
• EnviraSpa must be connected to a 120V electrical supply.
• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet
when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts or attachments.

• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on or near children,
invalids or disabled persons.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically any attachments
not provided with the unit.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or dropped into water. Return it to
HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such
as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep air openings
free of lint, hair, etc.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen
is being administered.
• Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause
fire, electrical shock or injury to persons.
• Do not carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as handle.
•To avoid breakage, do not wrap cord around unit.
•To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF position, then remove plug from outlet.
• This appliance is designed for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before
using EnviraSpa.
• Aroma beads are for external use only. Do not ingest them. If ingested, consult
a physician immediately.
• Any beads spilled onto the floor should be swept up immediately to avoid
slipping or ingestion.
• Discontinue if allergic reactions are experienced.

completes the circle, uniting scent and sound for a holistic experience. Individually,
scent and sound can have a powerful effect on your sense of well-being. Together,
they build on each other’s strengths. With EnviraSpa, you can custom match
scents and sounds to create an all-encompassing environment that makes you
feel good inside and out.
Six Natural Sounds
Surround yourself with familiar sounds to stimulate your imagination, relieve
stress and improve your concentration.
Four Refreshing Earth Scents
Essences extracted from aromatic plants, or essential oils, are the basic raw
materials of aromatherapy and the aroma beads included with EnviraSpa.
To Use EnviraSpa
EnviraSpa operates on either the AC adapter included or on four AA alkaline
batteries (not included).
TO CONNECT AC ADAPTER
Insert the AC plug into an electrical outlet and connect the smaller round plug
to the side of the unit.
TO INSTALL BATTERIES
Insert four AA alkaline batteries into the compartment on the back of the unit
following the diagram inside.

You’re Seconds Away
From Sensory Indulgence
EnviraSpa gives you the choice of three different modes of sensory enhancement:
Sound, Aroma or Combo. If you are using the Aroma or Combo modes, you must
first add aroma beads.
1. To add aroma beads, lift off the lid. (Diagram A).
2. Pour beads into inner basket. Replace the lid (Diagram B).
3. To turn the unit on, choose one of three modes by pressing the MODE button.
The appropriate L.E.D. indicator will light to confirm your selection: (Diagram C)
AROMA Mode: EnviraSpa provides aromatherapy only.
SOUND Mode: EnviraSpa surrounds you with a choice of six nature sounds only.
COMBO Mode: Scent and sound combine for a total sensory experience.
4. To use the automatic shut-off feature, press the TIMER button to select the
length of time you wish to use EnviraSpa: 15, 30 or 60 minutes. An L.E.D.
indicator above each interval will light to confirm your choice. EnviraSpa will
automatically shut off after the selected amount of time.
5. If you have selected SOUND or COMBO modes, choose your sound by
pressing the appropriate button.
6. Adjust the volume to a pleasing level. Turn the knob on the side of your unit
until the preferred level is reached.
7. If not using TIMER, turn unit off by pressing the MODE button until none of
the L.E.D. lights above sound, aroma, or combo are lit.
To Diffuse Essential Oils
Though not included with this unit, EnviraSpa diffuses your own favorite essential
oils. Simply follow these four steps for clean, trouble-free oil diffusion.
1. Lift off the lid.
2. Place a few drops of your favorite oil onto one of the felt pads included with
this unit. (Oil is not included.)
3. Insert felt pad into the inner basket.
4. Replace the lid and continue with instructions above.
Maintenance
TO STORE
Place EnviraSpa in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place, out of children’s reach.
To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not hang the
unit by the power cord.
TO CLEAN
Unplug the unit if you are using the AC adapter. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp
sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish
or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair EnviraSpa. There are no user serviceable parts. For
service, send the unit to the Homedics’ address listed in the warranty section.
