IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliance. Basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1. Please read all instructions before operating and retain for future reference.
2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the toaster.
3. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any part of the toaster in water or other liquid.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
7. IMPORTANT! Unplug the toaster from mains power outlet when not in use and
before cleaning.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrical person only to avoid a hazard, or the product must be disposed of.
9. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before wrapping the cord around base for storage.
10. Do not place the toaster on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Do not use outdoors.
12. IMPORTANT! Do not leave the toaster unattended when in use.
13. Do not use the toaster without the slide out crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Fire hazard, do not allow crumbs to build up in the tray.
14. IMPORTANT! Do not use this appliance with any foodstuff product containing
sugar content or with products containing jam or preserves.
15. Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster as they may cause a fire or electric shock.
16. CAUTION: The bread may burn, therefore toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be attended when in use.
17. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
18. Electric shock hazard. Don’t attempt to dislodge food when toaster is in operation.
19. Always remove the bread from the toaster carefully after toasting to avoid injuries.

20. WARNING! When toasting small bread slices less than 85mm length, you must
pay attention to the potential risk of burning when taking out the slices.
21. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
22. To disconnect, push the CANCEL button, then remove the plug from the wall socket.
23. If a slice of bread gets stuck inside the toaster, unplug the appliance first and let it cool down before you try to remove the bread. Do not use a knife or a sharp tool, as these may cause damage to the heating element in the toaster.
24. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; Farm houses; By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; Bed and breakfast type environments.
25. When using this appliance, allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not use the toaster close to curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use. CAUTION is required when the toaster is used on surfaces where heat may cause a problem – to avoid heat damage to the surface use of an insulated heat pad is recommended.
26. Caution: hot surfaces. Care must be taken. The surfaces are liable to get hot
during use.
WARNING!!
Never operate the toaster on its side. To prevent damage to the toaster, DO NOT toast with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam and other sugary ingredients. Adding any food substances to bread, muffins or crumpets can cause an electric shock and / or fire. This toaster is for toasting of bread, crumpets and muffins only.
