IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your HomeAware™ HA360M, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock or injury to persons including the following:

1. Read and understand all instructions, if there is something
you do not understand please call our customer service.

2. Do not use any electrical product near a bathtub, wash
basin, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or
close to a swimming pool or anywhere else there is water.

3. Do not use a telephone anywhere near a gas leak.

4. Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during
a storm. There may be a risk of electrical shock from
lightning and electrical storms.

5. Always unplug this product from the wall power outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners on
the product. Use a damp cloth for cleaning only.

6. Always place this product on a stable surface. Serious
damage and/or injury may result if the product falls.

7. Do not cover slots, vents or openings on this product. This
product should never be placed near or over a radiator or
heat register. This product should not be placed in a built-in
installation unless proper ventilation is provided.

8. Always operate this product using electrical voltage as
specified on the base unit or in the user guide. If you are not
sure of the voltage in your home, consult your dealer or local
power company.

9. Do not place anything on the power cord. Install the product
where no one will step or trip on the cord.

10. Never push any objects through the slots in the product.
They can touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts
that could result in a risk of fire or electrical shock. Never
spill liquid of any kind on the product

11. Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords as this can
increase the risk of fire or electrical shock.

12. Unplug this product from the wall outlets and refer servicing
to the manufacturer under the following conditions:

A. When power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
B. If water or liquid has been spilled into or on the product.
C. If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
D. If the product does not operate normally by following the

operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are
covered by the operating instructions. Improper
adjustment may require extensive work by a qualified
technician.

E. If the product has been dropped or if the case has been

damaged in anyway.

13. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not take this
product apart. Opening or removing covers may expose you
to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembly
can cause electric shock when the appliance is subsequently
used.

14. Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.

15. Never install telephone jacks in damp or wet areas.

16. Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals unless
the telephone line and power supply have first been
disconnected.

17. Always use caution when installing or modifying telephone
lines.

18. Use only the power cord and batteries indicated in this
manual. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. They may
explode. Check with local codes for possible special disposal
instructions.

19. This product should not be exposed to dripping or splashing
and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be
placed on or near the product.

20. Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat, such as
sunshine or fire or any other heat source.

21. The Main unit’s power supply plug is used as the disconnec t
device, which shall remain readily operabl

e.

SETTING UP YOUR DELUXE RECEIVER

FOR THE FIRST TIME

Out of Box First Time Use

1. Remove unit from box and packaging.

2. Plug in the provided power s uppl y to the back of the receiver

(see diagram below DC7.5V, 650mA), and plug the other end
into the 120 volt power. Observe the correct color coding on
the back of the unit and on the back of the power supply.
Note: If using a remote receiver the color for the Main unit
and Remote Receiver unit will be different colors.

3. The display will begin flashing a red colon. The time will set

itself automatically when linked with the Main unit. Follow the
linking instructions on the following page.

LINKING HA360R DELUXE RECEIVER

This procedure will link your Deluxe Receiver to your
HomeAware™ Main unit. The Main unit will also provide an alert
to all HomeAware™ remote receivers. When using the
SonicBridge™ unit all original Sonic Alert receivers (SA101,
SA201, BL300, and SB1000) will also alert you. It is best to do
the LINK procedure in the same room with the HomeAware™
Main unit, make sure this u n it is plugged in first.

To link the Deluxe Receiver to your HomeAware™ Main unit
follow the steps below.

1. Press the Set Up button on the Main unit and the word LINK
will be shown on the display, press Enter. LINK will begin
blinking.

2. Press the Set Up button on the deluxe receiver and the word
LINK will be shown on the display, press Enter. The units
are now linked together and ready to use. The time will
automatically set when the Main unit and the deluxe receiver
are linked.
