Step 1: Assemble your device and accessories

1 . Unpack your device and accessories.

2. Pair the device with the Security Shuttle within 1-10 feet
to make sure the connection is working well.

3. Pull and remove the black plastic strip in the back of the
device to initiate battery contact. The LED will flash red
for a second.

Do you need to reset your sensor?

If your device isn’t communicating with the Security Shuttle, your app
may ask you to reset your device.

• Open the front cover of the sensor.

• Remove the battery and insert again.

• Press the tamper switch four times within 1.5 seconds and during the

press, hold the tamper switch until the LED lights up. After 3 seconds
the LED will turn OFF, and after the next 2 seconds, release the tamper
switch. If reset successfully, the LED will light on for 1 second. Otherwise,
the LED will flash once.

• Return to the app and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2: Add a device

1 . Open the Home8 app, tap on the the menu button

" " and select “Device Management”.

2. Press the add button ‘+’ next to Sensor List.

3. Follow the app instructions to scan the QR code
located on the device.

Note: If the scan is incomplete, you will be asked to enter the serial
number (SN) of the device.

To create proper contact, ensure the tops of the two pieces line up and
be mounted in a vertical/upright position. The recommended mounting
height is 6.6 ft (2M). Don’t let the device face a window or sunlight. Don’t
let the device face a source of heat. For example : a heater.

Step 3: Mount your device

Before you mount your device, see if it's within the Security
Shuttle’s range.

1 . Take your device to the room you want to use it in.

2. Test the device by pressing the tamper switch for 5
seconds and then release it. If you get a notification
that says your device has been tampered with, it’s
within range. Mount the device with the included
double-sided tapes.

3. Now you can go to the "Energy" tile to set up your device.

For the best performance we recommend to face the
sensor towards an open area.
