Please make sure that the following parts for your lamp are enclosed:

A. Bayonet Base Halogen Bulb, 75 Watt
B. Glass Shield
C. Wall Sconce

IT IS FIRMLY RECOMMENDED THAT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THIS
FIXTURE.

Installation Instructions

1. Remove the universal crossbar strap from the back of the sconce.

2. Connect the wires from the sconce with the wires in the outlet box according to generally
accepted electrical standards.

3. Mount the crossbar strap to the outlet box after making the wire connections.

4. Mount the fixture to the crossbar strap.

Bulb Installation

1. Unscrew the adjustment stem located on the shade, removing both the small white washer
and small plastic nut.

2. Put the halogen bulb into the socket. Holding the bulb at the porcelain grip, push it down

slightly and turn it clockwise. BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB ENVELOPE WITH YOUR BARE

HANDS.

3. Place the glass shield over the small screw extending from the bottom of the socket. Place
the small washer and the small plastic nut over the glass shield. Now screw the handle back
on, finger tight. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN – THE GLASS SHEILD MAY CRACK UNDER TOO MUCH
PRESSURE.

Note of Caution:

The recommended replacement bulbs for this fixture are 75 W Osram Bayonet Base Halogen
bulbs. Use of other brands of unknown quality may cause a risk of overheating.

Care Instructions

Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean. If necessary, a slightly damp, soft cloth can be used to spot

clean. Do not use common household cleaners on lamps or fixtures, as the lacquer on the

outside of the brass may be damaged as a result. Enjoy your new Holtkötter lamp.
