CAUTION, IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This plug will fit a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician.Never use with an extension cord unless plug can be
fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

1. Turn off power/unplug and allow to cool before replacing bulb.
2. Bulb gets HOT quickly. Contact only switch/plug when turning on.
3. Do not touch hot lens, guard or enclosure.
4. Do not remain in light if skin feels warm.
5. Do not look directly at lighted lamp.
6. Keep lamp away from materials that burn.
7. Use only with a bayonet base halogen bulb or smaller bulb of the proper wattage for the
corresponding lamp: a) 6031/3 - 40 Watts b) 6032/3 - 25 Watts
8. Do not touch the bulb at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from skin may damage bulb.
9. Do not operate the portable luminaire with a missing or damaged guard, lamp containment
barrier or UV filter.

Care Instructions
Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean. If necessary, a slightly damp, soft cloth can be used to spot
clean. Do not use common household cleaners on lamps or fixtures, as the lacquer on the
outside of the brass may be damaged as a result. Enjoy your new Holtkötter lamp.

Please make sure that the following parts for your lamp are enclosed:
In one box you will find:
1. Lamp
2. Glass bowl
3. Halopin Bulbs for base, Frosted, 2 each
Maximum Wattage for base bulbs:
Table Lamp 6031/3: 40 Watts each
End-table Lamp 6032/3: 25 Watts each
In another box you will find:
4. Hand-Washable Fabric Shade
Note: You will also need one 3-way Edison base
bulb rated: 30W-70W-100W max.
(This bulb is not included.)
INSTALL THE BASE BULBS AND GLASS

INSTALL THE GLASS BOWL & FABRIC SHADE
Step 3. Set the glass bowl in place over
the base of the lamp, aligning it with the
groove in the base.
Step 4. Set the shade over the ceramic
socket and screw the aluminum ring
back in place.

Step 1. Prepare the lamp by
removing the aluminum ring (A)
that will hold the shade in place.
Simply unscrew the ring and set
aside.

Step 2. Use the packaging provided with the bulb
to protect the bulb envelope during installation.
Push the bulb directly into the socket. Remove all
packaging.
NOTE: BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB ENVELOPE
WITH YOUR BARE HANDS.

Step 5. Install the 3-Way Edison base
bulb in the lamp and use the dimmer
controls to turn the lamp on. Use the
dimmer control (B) to regulate the light
output in the base.
Use the 3-way switch (C) to regulate the
light output in the shade.
Your lamp is now operational.
