Glass Shade Installation Instructions
1. Prepare to install the glass by seating the
plastic wrench inside the glass, aligning
the aluminum ring with the wrench.
2. Holding the wrench in place, set the
glass on the fixture over the bulb and
tighten the aluminum ring on the fixture
hand-tight.
3. The glass should fit snugly against the
fixture. See above.
4. Your wall sconce is now operational.

Bulb Replacement Instructions
1. Be sure to turn the lamp off and allow it to cool before attempting bulb replacement.
2. Remove the glass shade by unscrewing it with the plastic wrench.
3. Remove the old bulb by pulling it straight out of the socket.
4. Follow steps 1-4 under Bulb and Glass Installation Instructions.

Please make sure that the following parts for your wall sconce are enclosed:
1. Backplate assembly
2. Reflector Kit including the glass reflector
3. 35 Watt Halopin IRC bulbs by Osram (5583/3 - 3 ea.; 5584/4 - 4 ea.; 5585/5 - 5 ea.)
4. Plastic wrench (Montageschlüssel)
5. If a wall dimmer is required, it is recommended that a Lutron ELV (Electronic Low Voltage)
dimmer be used.
Care Instructions
Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean. If necessary, a slightly damp, soft cloth can be used to spot
clean. Do not use common household cleaners on lamps or fixtures, as the lacquer on the
outside of the brass may be damaged as a result. Enjoy your new Holtkötter lamp.
IT IS FIRMLY RECOMMENDED THAT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THIS
FIXTURE.

1. Mount the fixture to the outlet box.
(Mounting screws are not provided.)
Bulb Installation Instructions

2. Mount the cover plate of the sconce
to the fixture and secure with finished
screws.
1. Disconnect power to outlet box before
installation.
2. Remove the cover plate from the front of
the sconce (the sconce bracket itself is the
universal crossbar strap).
3. Connect the wires from the sconce with
the wires in the outlet box according to
generally accepted electrical standards.

1. Install the new bulb being
careful not to touch the
bulb envelope with your
bare hands.
2. Hold the bulb using the
packaging material or
tissue and push it straight
into the socket. Remove
protective material.
