2.2 Electrical Assembly Installation SEE FIGURE 1
2.2.1 Loosen two screws holding electrical housing
cap in place. Rotate and lift off.
PF Option or other hanging device.
2.2.2 Slip hanging device or PF through center hole
of electrical housing cap and apply 4-5 drops of the thread locking liquid (provided) to threads of pipe and screw pipe in approximately ½ inch, this equals 7 threads tightening securely. (Wipe away excess adhesive that may have squeezed out.)
2.2.3 Route wires through pipe to top of electrical housing and make wire connection in accordance with approved wiring methods.
2.2.4 Reinstall electrical housing cap and tighten screws. Tighten safety screw securely.
2.2.5 Hang the electrical housing to a secure location capable of withstanding 75 lbs. Tighten safety screw securley.
2.3 Optical Assembly Installation.
2.3.1 Remove the optical hanging bolt from parts bag
located in the wiring area of the optical husk. It will self-thread into hole provided on top of the optical husk. Tighten securely.

2.3.3 Illuminaire or Illumibay Wiring:
2.3.3.1 MH Electro Magnetic, MH Electronic, Inc, EM & ER: Splice the wires from the optical to
electrical housing as follows: attach black leads to black leads, white to white and green to green. If the optical assembly is supplied with the EM or ER option, splice “INC” to “INC” two places. For Illumibay ER option, splice Red lead with “INC” on optical end two places. Other ends will be spliced in conduit box provided. MH electronic ballast: Attach White connectors between optic assembly and electrical housing assembly, carefully place white connector into optical husk wiring chamber. See figure. 3 & 4. Dimming Option Wiring Connection Dimming voltage operate between 0-10 Volt DC. Separate dimming leads from main power leads. Tie dimming leads around the hook assembly with wire tie. Connect Dimming Leads as shown in figure 5.
(Polarity is very impotant when connecting
dimming leads)
2.3.3.2 Single Compact Fluorescents: Single lamp
CFL units may be spliced using color coding to match. Carefully place splices into optical husk wiring chamber.
2.3.3.3: Multiple Compact Fluorescents: For dual lamp units, the units need to be spliced following the diagram provided in Fig. 2. For units with more than two sockets and the 120W CFL, connect electrical housing plug to optical receptacle securely. Carefully push wires up into the electrical housing.

2.3.4 Lift optical from this temporary hanging position
and insert into the opening of the electrical housing. There are protruding lugs that must match up to the openings in the optical husk.
2.3.5 Carefully line up the lugs with the openings and push optical into opening. When fully inserted in the electrical housing, twist clockwise to engage.
2.3.6 Carefully release the optical after insuring that it has engaged the lugs securely. Tighten set screw securely to lock the optical from turning or becoming loose.
