HOCHIKI INTRINSICALLY SAFE CALL POINT (CCP-E-IS)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: This call point has been
certified to the following classification:
The CCP-E-IS is a break-glass manual call point for use in hazardous areas. It has also been
designed and manufactured to protect against other hazards as defined in paragraph 1.2.7 of
annex II of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. The CCP-E-IS is intended for indoor use within
Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) Systems utilising a suitable barrier. To reduce the risk of a static
electricity hazard, this call point must only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note
that this call point has been classified at Temperature Class T4, whereas the Hochiki I.S. range
of detectors is classified at Temperature Class T5. Care must be taken when using this product
in conjunction with Hochiki I.S. detectors to ensure it is installed within an appropriate
environment for its own Temperature Class.
BACK BOXES
Metal: The CCP-E-IS fits onto any standard UK single metal switch/socket box, either flush or
surface mounting, having 60mm horizontal fixing centres and a recommended minimum depth
of 25mm. Termination of the 2 wires can be made using the ETT-1 terminal tray.
Plastic: A choice of two plastic back boxes
is available, a two-terminal version (SR/2T)
and a three-terminal version (SR/3T). Note
that a tear-off template which can be used for
locating the cable entry holes (see Fig.1) is
included as part of the packing box.

terminal has been designed to take two cables.
When terminating two cables in one terminal
place one cable either side of screw head
ensuring that the cables are placed under the
