SAFE-T-THAW
STANDARD FEATURES
The Safe-T-Thaw option provides rapid thawing of frozen food under temperature controlled conditions.
Thawing time is reduced to approximately 20% of the time required with thawing in a standard refrigerator. Nine to twenty hours versus one to three days.
Safe-T-Thaw is available on two and three section QS and QSA medium temperature, self-contained refrigerators with full height solid doors.
Frozen product is automatically thawed using the refrigeration system in a reversed, heat pump mode. A two-stage thermostat that senses when frozen product has been introduced into the cabinet automatically initiates the thaw process. This same thermostat controls temperature during the cycle, keeping the temperature below 45°F, a critical point where harmful food bacteria begins multiplying.
Thawing action is aided by manually controlled, mullion-mounted, auxiliary fan assemblies, which move air across the food product, increasing thawing efficiency.

Specifications, Details and Dimensions on Back.
Exclusive Hobart Reverse Refrigeration technology utilizes heat from the refrigeration system to power-thaw frozen product without expensive-to-operate electric heaters. You save hundreds of dollars yearly in energy costs. Multiple fans maintain even temperatures throughout the cabinet, even when it’s stocked full.
The unit automatically reverts back to a standard medium temperature refrigerator, maintaining 38°F to 40°F product temperature, after the food product is thawed.
The unit will operate as a standard refrigerator indefinitely, until additional frozen food product is introduced.
