ENGLISH IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee maker.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug, or in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cooling before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
12. The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used on a range top.
13. Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
14. To disconnect, turn any control to “Off”, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
15. Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycles. Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
16. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with hand. Use handles or knobs only.
17. Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm plate otherwise the carafe is liable to crack.
18. Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks or carafe having a loose or weakened handle. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
19. This device is not intended for use by persons with reduced capacity on the physical, mental or sensory or lack of experience and knowledge (including children), unless he has them was asked to monitor or if they have had instructions on the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.

21. Do not set a hot container on a hot or cold surface.
22. Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.
23. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with an after-sales service to avoid any danger.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water into water tank to the max level and brew water for several times without coffee powder, then discard the water. Clean all detachable parts thoroughly with warm water.
USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER
1. Open the top lid and fill the water tank with drinking water. The water level should not exceed the maximum level marked in water gauge.
2. Place the funnel into the funnel support and make sure the funnel is assembled correctly. Then put the filter correctly.
3. Add coffee powder into filter. Usually a cup of coffee need a level spoon of coffee powder, but you may adjust according to personal taste. Then close the top lid.
4.Place the carafe on the keeping warm plate.
5. Plug the power cord into the outlet. The LCD will display “12:00” and the colon will flash.
6. Press on/auto/off button once, the indicator in it will be illuminated red. The appliance will begin working.
7. The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the on/auto/off button twice at any time during operation, and the indicator in it will be illuminated blue, after about 15s, it will be extinguished. The appliance will continue brewing once on/auto/off is pressed again. Note: You can take out the jug, pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop dripping automatically. But the time cannot exceed 30 seconds.
8. Remove out carafe to serve when finish brewing (about one minute later after the coffee stops dripping out.)
Note: the coffee you get will less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by coffee ground.
9. When the process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately, keep the coffee maker is energized, the coffee can be kept warm in the keeping warm plate. The appliance will be cut off power automatically after 40 minute if it has not been manually disconnected at the completion of brewing. For an optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.
10. Always turn the coffee maker off and disconnect the power supply when not use. Caution: When pour coffee, the momentary inclined angle of carafe shall not be more than 45 degree from the vertical position, you shall pour the coffee slowly until the carafe is empty, otherwise the coffee in the carafe will rush to the bottom of carafe lid, and the coffee will flow out from two edges of lid and hurt person!
AUTOMATIC START FUNCTION
If you do not want the coffee maker to start operation immediately, for example now it is 5:10 pm, you hope that the coffee maker will automatically start at 8:15 in the evening, first follow steps 1 to 5 of above section, then you can set the auto m atic start function as follows:
1. Press PROG button one time, the word CLOCK is showed at the up-right corner on display.
2. Press the HOUR and MIN button continuously to set the present time (real clock), that is 17:10 (See fig. 1). Note: the time cycle is 24 hours.
3. Press PROG button again and the word TIMER shows on up-left corner of display.
4. Set the delayed starting time by pressing HOUR and MIN button repetitively, that is 20:15 (see Fig. 2).

5. After setting the presetting time, press the PROG button once, the letter TIMER on the LCD will disappear. The LCD will display the current clock. After 15s, the blue indicator in PROG button will be extinguished.
6. Press the on/auto/off button twice, the indicator in it will illuminate blue and flash. The LCD will display the current clock. You may see the automatic start time by pressing PROG twice. Note: You may cancel the automatic start function by pressing on/auto/off button once to stop machine, if you want to brew coffee again immediately, yuo shall press on/auto/off button once again to start brewing immediately. If you want to change the automatic start time, only following the above 1-4 steps again. When the time is due the blue indicator in on/auto/off will stop flashing and illuminate red, then the unit starts brewing. The appliance will be cut off power automatically after 40 minute if it has not been manually disconnected at the completion of brewing.
MEMORY
If the power supply has been broken off or unplug the power cord unintentionally during operation, the appliance will be continued previous operation automatically from the point when the disconnection occurred provided that the pause does not exceed 10s, even without pressing any button. In the event the pause time exceeds 10s, the display shows the default setting, the appliance must be re-started.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use, always make sure plug is first removed from wall outlet.
1) Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot, sudsy water.
2) Wipe the product’s exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
3) Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.
4) Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the keeping warm plate. Never use abrasive cleaner to clean it.
5) Replace all parts and keep for next use.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water quality in your area and the frequency use the appliance, the detail is as follows:
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the maximum level in the gauge of coffee maker (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1, the detail refers to the instruction of descaler. Please use
“household descaler”, you can use the citric acid instead of the descaler (the one hundred parts of
water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Place the carafe on the keeping warm plate, pay attention to let center line of carage aligns with that of brew basket.
3. Press the on/auto/off button once and the indicator in it will be illuminated red. After a while, water will drop out automatically.
4. After percolate the equivalent of one cup and then switch off the appliance by pressing the on/auto/off button twice. The indicator in it will be illuminated blue and will be extinguished after 15s.
5. Leave the solution work for 15 minutes; repeat the steps of 3-5 again.
6. Turn the appliance on by pressing the on/auto/off button once and run off the water until the water tank is completely empty.
7. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.
HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
1. A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Regularly clean the coffee maker
as specified in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” section. Always use fresh, cold water in the
coffee maker.
2. Store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind them just before brewing.
4. Do not reuse coffee powder since this will greatly reduce the coffee’ flavor. Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its peak flavor immediately after brewing.
5. Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction causes oiliness. Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee are due to the extraction of oil from the coffee powder.
6. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used.

INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANTES
Il est important de respecter ces instructions lorsque vous utilisez un appareil électrique :
1. Lire ce manuel.
2. Vérifiez les caractéristiques de votre installation et assurez-vous de la compatibilité de l´appareil.
3. Pour éviter les risques d´incendie, électrocution ou blessure n´immergez jamais le câble d´alimentation ou la prise dans l´eau ou tout autre liquide.
4. Ne laissez pas les enfants utiliser la cafetière sans surveillance.
5. Débranchez la prise lorsque vous n´utilisez pas la cafetière.
6. N´utilisez pas la cafetière si le câble d´alimentation ou la prise présente quelque dommage que ce soit et faites réparer l´appareil par un professionnel.
7. L´utilisation d´accessoires non recommandés par le fabricant peut être à l´origine de blessures ou dommages.
8. Ne pas utiliser à l´extérieur.
9. Ne jamais laisser le câble suspendre au dessus d´un endroit en hauteur.
10. Ne pas utiliser près d´une source de chaleur tel qu´un four ou une gazinière.
11. Ne pas utiliser pour tout autre usage que celui prévu pour l´appareil.
12. Ne jamais poser la cafetière sur une autre source de chaleur que la plaque chauffante de la cafetière.
13. Ne pas nettoyer la cafetière avec un matériau ou un détergent abrasif car ceci pourrait en rayer le verre.
14. Pour éteindre appuyer sur “Off” avant de débrancher l´appareil sans
jamais tirer sur la prise.
15. Attention à ne pas vous brûler avec la vapeur qui s´échappe de l´appareil pendant que le café coule.
16. Par ailleurs certaines parties de l´appareil sont brulantes pendant l´utilisation de la cafetière, ne touchez pas ses parties les mains nues, utilisez des maniques afin de protéger vos mains.
17. Ne jamais laisser la cafetière vide sur la plaque chauffante.
18. Ne jamais utiliser la cafetière si elle présente des dommages apparents ou des craquelures.
19. Cet appareil n'est pas destiné à être utilisé par des personnes présentant des capacités réduites sur le plan physique, mental ou sensoriel ou bien manquant d'expérience ou de connaissance, (y compris les enfants), sauf s'il leur a été demandé de surveiller ou si elles ont eu des instructions concernant l'utilisation de l'appareil par une personne responsable de leur sécurité. Les enfants doivent être surveillés pour s'assurer qu'ils ne jouent pas avec l'appareil.
20. Toujours surveiller les enfants lorsque l´appareil est en fonctionnement.
21. Ne jamais poser la cafetière chaude sur une surface froide.
22. Ne jamais utiliser sans eau.
23. Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé auprès d'un Service après-vente afin d'éviter tout danger.

Avant la première utilisation
Vérifiez que tous les composants sont intacts et que l´appareil et ses accessoires ne présentent aucun dommage. Ajoutez de l´eau dans le réservoir et laissez couler l´eau plusieurs fois avant de rincer le tout à l´eau chaude et faire couler du café.
UTILISER VOTRE CAFETIÈRE
1. Remplir le réservoir sans dépasser le niveau maximum d´eau.
2. Placez un filtre dans le porte filtre.
3. Ajoutez du café selon votre goût et fermez le couvercle.
4. Placez la cafetière sur la plaque chauffante.
5. Branchez l´appareil, l´écran LCD affiche “12:00” par défaut.
6. Pressez on/auto/off une fois, le témoin rouge s´allume. L´appareil est prêt à fonctionner.
7. Pour arrêter la cafetière pressez le bouton on/auto/off deux fois, le témoin bleu s´allume. Pour reprendre, appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton on/auto/off à nouveau. Note: Servez le café.
