CLEANING
• Do not attempt to clean any part of the amplifier when it is switched on.
• The vinyl may be cleaned with a damp (not wet) cloth or brush.
• The chassis and front panel may be wiped with a moistened cloth with
water and mild detergent or an alcohol based cleaner and then dried.
• Do not use silicone based polishes or solvents as benzene or paint thinner
to clean the unit.
DO’s and DON’T’s
• DO always check that you have matched the loudspeaker impedance
settings.
• DO always check the amplifier voltage selector is correctly set for the wall
supply that you are using, especially when touring or in a studio setting.
• DO make sure that you use a high quality loudspeaker cable and that the
jack plug is fully inserted before playing.
• DO always disconnect the loudspeaker cable from the amplifier first.
• DON’T stack the cabinets more than two high.
• DON’T connect the loudspeaker cabinet with instrument or microphone
cables.
• DON’T disconnect a loudspeaker cabinet by the loudspeaker end, always
remove the lead at the amplifier end, particularly in the unlikely event of a
fault occurring whilst in use.
• DON’T attempt to repair or modify a HIWATT product yourself. Only
factory repairs are acceptable in warranty claims, and HIWATT
Amplification wholly and exclusively relinquish all responsibility for any unit
modified or misused in any way.
• DON’T place drinks on top of the cabinet or allow any liquid to fall in it.
• DON’T store the cabinet in wet, damp or dusty conditions.
