User guide
Welcome to Hive
This guide tells you everything
you need to know to use your
Hive Light.
If you’re ne w to Hive prod ucts, please see
the user gu ide provided with your Hive Hub
to set up your H ive accou nt.
Your Hive Light can be turned on and
off and dimmed remotely from your
smartphone, tablet or laptop.
You can also set schedules for
when it turns on and off.
Gettin started:
Add your Hive Liht

You can do this using your Hive
app or the online dashboard.
Usin the Hive app:
• Open the Hive app on
your smartphone or tablet.
You may be asked to log-in.
• Tap the Menu button and then
Install devices, then follow the
on-screen instructions.
Usin the online dashboard:
• Log in to your Hive account
at hivehome.com
• Under Settins select
Install devices, then follow
the on-screen instructions.
Fit the bulb into the liht fittin

and switch the liht on
Ensure the wall switch for the
light is switched off before fitting
the bulb. Your Hive Light is fitted
in the same way traditional
household bulbs are.
Once fitted, switch the light on
at the wall and the bulb will then
flash on and off to show that it
is searching for your hub.
Once your Hive Light appears
on the screen it will flash once
more to confirm it’s connected.
You can now name it and press
Save to complete setup.
That’s it!

You’ve finished setting up your
Hive Light and you can now
control it remotely.
Remember: To turn your Hive Li ght on or
off remotely it must be s witched o n at the
wall. Your Hive Light should not be dimmed
using a wall m ounted dim mer switch as it
may cause b uzzing o r flickering.
Use in dry lo cations o nly.
Usage
Your Hive Light is design ed for indo or use
only. Not suitable for emergency lighting.
Maintenance
Disconn ect your H ive Light b efore cleaning
and keep it away from water and other
liquids at a ll times. T he Hive Light does no t
contain any serviceable par ts so do not
attempt to o pen it.
