1. Use only the specifi ed battery.

9. Fold away the antenna when carrying the radio.
Tighten the screw at the mounting part when it has
come loose.

10. Carry the radio carefully and do not wave it around.

11. Do not look directly into the LED light when it is on.

Doing so m ay damage your eyes.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Inser t the bat tery
Inser t the battery in the directi on
of the arrow unti l it clic ks.
To remove the bat ter y, press the
latch an d remove t he battery.
2. Turn on t he power
Rotate the power/volume dial
clock wise to turn on the power.
3. Select t he mode
Slide the AM/FM s elect or lever
to select AM or FM mo de.

When not in use or during inspection and maintenance, be

When th e radio is stain ed, wipe with a sof t dry cloth or a
cloth moisten ed with s oapy water.
Do not use solve nts con taini ng chlorine, g asoli ne or pai nt
thinn er as they may melt p lasti c.

Storing the Radio

After use, turn off the p ower and store the r adio.
•
If the ra dio will not be used for a lon g period, remo ve the
battery.

Adjust t he leng th, dir ectio n and
angle of the ante nna to en sure the
best reception.

The rad io has a built- in antenna . Turn
the radio around to fi nd t he dire ction
with the best reception.

power/volume dial to OFF a nd remov e the bat tery.
Continued use of the radio may result in fi re or electric
