1. Use only the specifi ed battery.
Do not use a mod ifi ed ba tter y (incl uding a b atter y that

2. When not in use, remove the battery from the radio.

4. Do not touch the antenna during thunderstorms.

5. Do not subject the radio to strong impact, disassemble or otherwise modify the device.

6. Do not let any foreign objects or water get inside the radio body.

radio body, it may lead to elec tric shock or fi re.
7. Do not place the radio on an unstable surface or in a high place.
The radi o may fall a nd cause injur y or malfunct ion.
8. Do not leave the radio where it will be exposed to high temperature (5 0°C or over) such as inside a sun­heated vehicle.
Doing so m ay result in malf unction.
9. Fold away the antenna when carrying the radio.
Tighten the screw at the mounting part when it has
come loose.
Failure to do so may re sult in injur y.
10. Carry the radio carefully and do not wave it around.
The bat tery m ay fall ou t, caus ing dam age or in jury.
11. Do not look directly into the LED light when it is on.
Doing so m ay damage your eyes.
12. Keep the radio away from gasoline or thinner.
Su ch subs tances may cau se deformation or melt the
plastic components.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Inser t the bat tery Inser t the battery in the directi on
of the arrow unti l it clic ks.
To remove the bat ter y, press the
latch an d remove t he battery.
2. Turn on t he power Rotate the power/volume dial
clock wise to turn on the power.
3. Select t he mode Slide the AM/FM s elect or lever
to select AM or FM mo de.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
WARNING
When not in use or during inspection and maintenance, be
sure to re move the b atter y.
Cleaning on the outside
When th e radio is stain ed, wipe with a sof t dry cloth or a
cloth moisten ed with s oapy water.
Do not use solve nts con taini ng chlorine, g asoli ne or pai nt
thinn er as they may melt p lasti c.
Storing the Radio
After use, turn off the p ower and store the r adio.
If the ra dio will not be used for a lon g period, remo ve the
battery.
Do not store the rad io in the f ollowi ng plac es.

FOR BETTER RECEPTION
FM
Adjust t he leng th, dir ectio n and angle of the ante nna to en sure the best reception.
AM
The rad io has a built- in antenna . Turn the radio around to fi nd t he dire ction with the best reception.

IF THERE ARE SMOKE OR ODORS
WARNING
If the radio emits smoke o r an abno rmal sm ell, rotate the
power/volume dial to OFF a nd remov e the bat tery.
Continued use of the radio may result in fi re or electric
shock.
Cont act the s hop whe re the ra dio was purcha sed.
Location
Reception may b e poor wh en the radio is us ed inside a
building or vehicle.
Place the radi o near the window to ensur e bette r reception.
Noise may oc cur if the radio i s place d near a device th at
generates noise.
Move the radio away from the source of the noise.
Noise may occur if a mobile phone is placed near the radio.
A mo bile ph one emits radio waves both during call s and in
stand by mode.
If pos sible, ke ep mobi le phones away from the radi o.

and off each t ime the l ight switch is pressed.
The LED ligh t can be
turne d on while liste ning to the radio.
NOTE
If the lens is dirty, wipe it
gentl y with a soft cloth.
