Strong metal protectors
All cutter protectors are metallic and strong enough to protect the cutter against damage by cut material s.
• Metallic cover plate
The metallic cover plate on the arm cover tip protects the arm cover against damage by cut materials. The cover plate is secured to the arm cover by a single bolt for easy cover replacement.
• Metallic front foot plate
The front foot portion consists of a rubber foot portion and a metallic foot plate. When the engine cutter is placed on a floor or ground, the high shock-absorbing rubber foot grips the floor. When the engine cutter is tilted, the metallic foot plate touches a cutting object to protect the engine cutter against the cutting object.

The metallic lower guard on the bottom of the engine cutter protects the cutter against damage cau sed by stones and other objects when the engine cutter is placed on such objects.
Easy-to-maintain tool-less removable prefilter
You can frequently clean the prefilter by simply loosening the cleaner knob and detaching cleaner box (B). The highly effective dust-catching paper filter used together with the prefilter assures excellent dust-proof performance.
New Pure Fire Engine
The New Pure Fire Engine of low exhaust gas complies with exhaust gas regulations in the U.S. and Europe (EPA PHASE2, CARB Tier3, and 2004/26/EC).

Dust-proof recoil starter
The dust-proof recoil starter and the wear-resistant starter rope enable use of the engine cutter in dusty environments that include concrete dust.
Compensator structure
The compensator is designed to maintain a constant air-fuel mixture ratio (air-fuel ratio) so as to suppress changes in the air-fuel ratio due to a clogged air cleaner, and thus assure stable engine output.
Decompression valve
The decompression valve temporarily reduces engine compression. This allows you to pull the recoil starter lightly. The decompression valve closes automatically at engine startup.

1. Safety instructions
In the interest of promoting the safest and most efficient use of the Engine Cutter Models CM 75EAP and CM 75EBP by all of our customers, it is very important when concluding a sale that the salesperson carefully ensures that the customer seriously recognizes the importance of the Handling Instructions and precautions indicated on the caution label and name plate attached to the product. Refer to the Handling Instructions for how to handle, maintain, inspect, and store the Models CM 75EAP and CM75EBP, and instruct the customer on proper use, particularly how to conduct periodic inspection. Also pay attention to the supply system for consumables and the system for product repair.
A. Handling instructions
Although every possible effort has been made in the design, manufacture, and te sting phases to ensure the safety of the Models CM 75EAP and CM 75EBP, these products inevitably entail an inherent risk in use. To avoid unnecessary risk and ensure that customers use these products safely and efficiently, the Handling Instructions describe safety precautions specific to the Models CM 75EAP and CM 75EBP. Therefore, when concluding a sale, make sure that the customer carefully reads the safety precautions, and give the customer appropriate guidance.
B. Caution label and name plate
The caution label and name plate attached to the Mod els CM 75EAP and CM 75 EBP describe precautions on safe use of the product.

2. Specific instructions to the customers
A. Starting and stopping procedures
Thoroughly instruct the customers to carefully follow the proper engine starting and stoppin g procedures. In particular, instruct the customers about the differences in starting method between “a cold engine” and “a warm engine,” fully opening the choke after initial combustion at choke starting, and checking the wheel rotation at engine startup with the throttle half open.
B. Fuel safety
• These models adopt a two-cycle engine design. Instruct the customers to use a fuel mixture of lead-free gasoline and two-cycle oil (JASO FC GRADE OIL or ISO EGC GRADE) at a ratio of 25 to 50:1.
• Instruct the customers to use a container intended for mixing gasoline and oil. Using resin containers such as plastic containers and PET bottles may cause failure, as these containers may melt into the mixture.
• Fuel stored for a long time becomes degraded and deteriorated. In addition, improper capping can degrade the fuel in only one day, especially during summer. Instruct the customers not to store mixed fuel, and only prepare the required amount of mixture when necessary.
C. Adjustment of the drive belt tension
The drive belt will lose its tension and eventually be worn out in long-term use. The customers are requested to periodically adjust the tension of the drive belt and replace a worn-out belt with a new one.
D. Diamond wheel
Be sure to check the diamond wheel for chaps, cracks, and bends prior to use. Should any such defect s be found, avoid using the wheel.
• The customers are requested to cut 50 mm or less (in depth) at a time and repeat cutting of up to 50 mm at least twice, in order to cut 50 mm or more. Cutting 50 mm or more at a time will shorten the service life of the diamond wheel.
• The customers are requested not to use the diamond wheel for zigzag, curved, sided, and tilted cutting. Such non-straight cutting will damage the diamond wheel and significantly shorten its service life.
• The customers are requested to always wear protective glasses, a dust respirator, and earplugs during
Page 11
-8-
cutting work, in order to ensure safety and protection against cutting dust and noise.
E. Cut-off wheels
• The customers are requested to only use the specified cut-off wh eels (of the specified maximum se rvice speed). Never use cut-off wheels whose maximum speed is slower than specified. Doing so may damage the engine cutter and cause unexpected accidents.
• Be sure to check the expiration date printed on the wheel prior to use. Note that an expired wheel may break easily.
F. Storage
Instruct the customers to empty the fuel tank and perform idling until the engine stops to remove all residual fuel in the carburetor before long-term storage of these models. If any fuel remains in the carburetor, only gasoline in the fuel mixture will become volatile during the storage period and the fuel line may be clogged with two-cycle oil. Thus, the engine cannot be started the next time.
