The broom brush, mini power head, and hard brush can be attached to two locations: the stand recess or the protrusion of the charging station base.
Do not let the power cord become caught in the base or stand.
Attach the power head to the extension pipe, hook the wheels of the power head on the protrusion, and stand the extension pipe on the hook.
Roll up the hose and insert it in the hook protrusion of the hose stand.

Safety precautions
In order to prevent personal injury or damage to the property, please read and understand (the safety precautions) thoroughly and follow them correctly.
The severity of injury or damage that occurs when ignoring instructions and improperly using the
cleaner is classified and explained below.
Be sure to follow these directions.
Content that "prompts warning or attention".
"Prohibited" content that must not be performed.
"Directive" content that must be performed.
Meaning of symbols
This indicates content that "might present imminent danger of serious injury or death".
This indicates content that "might result in minor injury or property damage".

Do not disassemble, repair, or alter.
Doing so might cause leaking, heat generation, fire, or injury. For repairs, please consult with the Hitachi authorized service agent.
Keep the body and charging station away from water and other liquids.
The battery might rupture and cause fire, malfunction, or electric shock.

Do not connect the contacts of the body and charging station with metal objects such as a wire and pin.
Do not carry or store with metal necklaces, hairpins, etc. The battery might short-circuit and cause leaking, heat generation, rupturing, or fire.
Do not throw into fires or apply heat.

Do not charge, use, or leave near sources of heat such as fire or a stove, under direct sunlight or in cars exposed to the sun, etc.
Doing so might cause the battery to rupture, leak, generate heat, smoke, catch fire, malfunction, or deform.

In the event of an abnormality or malfunction, stop using it immediately.
The cleaner does not operate even after pressing the control button though it is fully charged.
The power turns on and off when moving the plug or cord.Sometimes the cleaner stops during operation.There is an abnormal sound during operation.The body or charging station is deformed or abnormally hot.The cord is damaged or abnormally hot.There is a burning "smell".There are other abnormalities.
There is a risk of smoke, fire, or electric shock. Immediately press the "Power Off" switch of the body to stop operation and detach the plug of the charging station, and then request for inspection and repair by the Hitachi authorized service agent.

Use AC 100-240V socket.
Do not use any extension cord or share the socket with any other electrical products.
Periodically wipe off dust, etc. from the plug with a dry cloth.Make sure to fully insert the plug.Disconnect the plug from the socket when performing charging station maintenance.
If the cord is damaged, it must only be replaced by the Hitachi authorized service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the charging station provided
with this cleaner.
Do not damage the cord.

Do not use damaged cords and plugs, or loose socket.

These parts contain carbon fiber and are electrically charged, which might cause an electric shock.
Do not move the power head or mini power head left
and right while they are facing forward.
Doing so might damage floors or fabrics.
Do not operate while the mini power head is inside
bedding.
Doing so may cause deformation or fire due to overheating.
Caution
Hold and pull the plug at the end, not the cord.
Holding and pulling by the cord might damage and short it, causing electrical shock or fire.
Do not use while the cord is wound around the charging station.
Damaging the cord might cause electrical shock or fire.
Detach the plug from the socket when you will not use the cleaner
for a long time.
Otherwise it might cause electrical shock, electric leakage, or fire due to insulation deterioration.

When carrying the body, do not hold the dust case.
The body might fall and cause injury or damage the floor.
Keep away from fire.
A short circuit due to body deformation might cause electrical shock or fire. Flames might grow larger due to exhaust and cause fire.
Discontinue operation during maintenance.

Do not carry the body while it is set on the charging station.
The body might fall and cause injury or damage the floor.
Do not clean using the tip of the body without the handy nozzle.
Doing so might cause a short circuit resulting in electric shock, fire, malfunction and damage to floors.
Do not put the charging station where dew condensation occurs or in a humid place.
This might discolor the floor.
Do not drop the body, power head, extension pipe, charging station, or attachment
accessories from high places.
Doing so might cause injury or damage to the floor or dropped part.
Do not look directly into the LED light.
Doing so might hurt your eyes.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Only allow children at least 8 years old to use the charging station. Give sufficient
instruction so that the child is able to use the charging station in a safe way and explain that it is not a toy and must not be played with.
Instruct the child not to try and recharge non-rechargeable batteries because of the
danger of eruption.
Examine the charging station regularly for damage, especially the cord, plug and
enclosure. If the charging station is damaged, it must not be used until it has been repaired.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

exhaust for long periods of time.

Battery (lithium-ion battery)
If the liquid inside the battery enters your eyes, do not rub your eyes, but thoroughly wash
them with clean water immediately, and then consult a doctor.
Failure to do so might cause damage to your eyes.
Charge in areas where the room temperature is between 5°C and 35°C.
The battery might not charge correctly, or the charge time might be long. Failure to do so might also cause the battery to deteriorate.
Detach the plug if charging is not completed even long after the specified charging time. Do not touch the battery for a long period of time while charging or operating the body.
Doing so might cause a low temperature burn.
Use and store the body in a location with low humidity or little dust.
Not doing so might cause heat to be generated, an explosion, smoke, or a fire.
If the liquid inside the battery attaches to your skin or clothes, wash them with clean
water immediately, and then consult a doctor.
Failure to do so might cause skin rashes.
Do not connect the battery to devices other than this body.
Also, do not disassemble, modify, or solder the battery, or charge the battery on its own.
Do not touch the metal contacts, or short-circuit with any metal items such as a wire and pin.
Do not carry or store with metal items [necklaces, hairpins, coins, keys, etc.].
Do not subject the battery to strong shock such as driving with nails, hitting it with hammers, or stepping on it, and do not throw it.
Keep away from fire. Do not leave in places of high temperature, such as near fire or heater, under direct
sunlight, or in cars exposed to the sun.
Do not use batteries other than those specified for this body. Do not put the battery in microwaves or ovens. Do not submerge the battery in water (liquid) or expose it to water.
Doing so might cause leaking, heat generation, rupture, smoke, fire, electric shock, or injury.

Do not use the battery if it is leaking or has an abnormal odor, discoloration, deformation, or damage due to being dropped or you notice something unusual.
Doing so might cause heat generation, rupture, smoke, or fire. The liquid might cause damage if it attaches to the floor.
Keep the battery away from children.
Failure to do so might cause electric shock or injury.
If the battery is leaking, do not touch it with bare hands.
Doing so might cause skin irritation.
Do not touch the battery with wet hands.
Doing so might cause heat to be generated, a fire, or an electric shock.
Do not set the body in the charging station while the battery is removed.


Do not subject the body, the power head, extension pipe, charging station, or attachment accessories to strong physical shock.
Doing so might cause deformation or damage.
Do not vacuum the following objects.

When you press and hold the button for 5 seconds or more during operation, the operating rotary brush stops. To resume, press and hold the button for 5 seconds or more.

per second), there is a problem with the charging station or battery. (P.E-37 )
* If you remove the body from the charging station while the battery
indicator lamp is off and then set it on the charging station again, the battery indicator lamp will turn on, which is normal.
* If you remove the battery while charging, after a short time, the
indicator lamp flashes (about four times per second). Remove the body from the charging station, fully attach the battery, and set the body in the charging station again.
The battery is charging.
Charge time is approx. 3.5 hours. Depending on the ambient temperature, usage time, and other usage conditions, if the battery's temperature is very hot, charging may automatically go into standby until the temperature lowers to an appropriate temperature for charging, causing the charging time to increase.
Charging is complete (fully charged).
When charging is complete, it turns off.

How to charge
The battery is not sufficiently charged at the time of purchase. Please charge it before use. (Charge time is approx. 3.5 hours.)
If the battery indicator lamp does not turn on or if it immediately turns off, lift the body and set it on the
charging station again.
When using for the first time, or when not used for a long time, the operating time be shorter and the
charging time may be longer.
When charging the cleaner near a radio, the radio might be interrupted by noise or the radio program
might be difficult to hear.
When charging, place the charging station 2 m or more away from the radio and use separate sockets.
Note
Disconnect the plug from the socket when not using the cleaner for long periods of time. If you leave the body set on the charging station with the plug inserted in a socket for long periods of time
(a month or longer), the remaining battery level might be low. Lift the body once and set it on the charging station again before use. Also, if the remaining battery level is low, the cleaner might automatically charge periodically.
If you remove the body from the charging station while the battery indicator lamp is off (charging completed) and
then set it on the charging station again, the battery indicator lamp will turn on (charging in progress), which is normal.
The body or charging station might become hot while charging, which is normal. The body will not operate even if the control button is pressed while charging.
The body cannot be set on the charging station while the extension pipe is attached. Remove the extension pipe. If you set the body on the charging station, attach the dust case to the body.

Hold and pull the plug at the end, not the cord.
Holding and pulling by the cord might damage the power cord and cause a short circuit resulting in an electrical shock or fire.

The battery is charging.
The temperature of the battery changes depending on the usage conditions, such as surrounding temperature and operating time. When the battery is hot, the cleaner will automatically go into standby until the temperature is suitable for charging, which might prolong the charging time.

Make sure to charge when you are finished cleaning, regardless of the operating time. If you will not use the cleaner for a month or more, fully charge and store it, and charge it once a year.
(Storing it when there is no remaining battery level will cause the battery performance and life to deteriorate.)
If the battery is depleted and operation stops during cleaning, the cleaner might be operable for a short while by
pressing the control button again. However, do not repeat this procedure. The battery life will shorten.
Charge in areas where the room temperature is between 5°C and 35°C. The battery might not charge properly in
places of low temperature, or places of high temperature such as under direct sunlight. (The operating time might be shorter, or the charge time might be longer.)

To prevent damage to the floor, move along the grain of the flooring.
When cleaning a new tatami, its surface might become polished. If dust remains on the floor after pulling the power head towards yourself, lift the
power head and vacuum again.
Clean by moving back and forth. You can collect dust thoroughly when pulling back.
When cleaning a new carpet for the first time, the cleaner might collect many loose threads.

You can clean proficiently by moving the power head back and forth across floor.

Do not place the power head on parts of your body (on top of your feet, etc.) when pulling the power head.

Do not leave the power head in the same position during operation. Do not firmly press the power head against the floor.

The floor might be damaged if it is easily damaged especially such as cypress or padded flooring.
*
Padded flooring is flooring where the surface is cushioned using vinyl chloride, etc.
Firmly pressing the power head against uneven surfaces such as
thresholds might wear out the wheels and damage the floor.
If dust gets tangled in the wheels, the wheels cannot rotate, which
might cause wear and tear and floor damage. Please do periodic maintenance (about once a month). (P.E-30, 31)

The "brushes, wheels, rotary brush, or roller" might be worn out due to long­time usage, etc. Using the power head while they are worn out might damage the floor. You cannot replace the "brushes and wheels" by yourself, So please consult with the dealer where you purchased the cleaner or the Hitachi authorized services agent. You can purchase the "rotary brush and roller" as replacement parts. (P.E-39)
The vacuum might be difficult to use depending on the floor type. In such case, switch to the "Standard" operation. If the suction power becomes weak, there might be dust blocking the power head inlet. In this case,
perform maintenance (clean with water) for each filter. (P.E-27 to E-29)

Turning the handle changes the orientation of the power head. Then, you can smoothly clean narrow places such as crevices.
This is a compact suction head that can be used on sofas, car seats, and bedding.

Use on bedding, mattresses, bed covers, pillows, seat cushions, fabric
sofas, and other fabric products.
Do not use on wood furniture, wood floors, or locations with a glossy
surface that is easily damaged.
Do not press against fabrics that are easily damaged, such as leather.
Do not leave the mini power head stopped in the same position while
operating.
If dust gets tangled in the wheels, the wheels cannot rotate, which might
cause wear and tear and floor damage.
Perform periodic maintenance (about once a month). (P.E-32, E-33)
The wheel and rotary brush might become worn after a long period of use.
Using the mini power head with a worn out rotary brush and wheel might damage fabrics.
When cleaning fabrics, lay the fabric flat, and do not press firmly. Disposing the dust
Empty the dust case before exceeding the "Max line"
(guideline). If the "Max line" is exceeded, the dust might be difficult to remove from the dust case.
Dust might not rotate depending on the type of dust
and how it accumulates, which is normal.
Fine dust might disperse in the air when emptying the dust case. Empty the dust case in a well-ventilated environment such as outdoors, or wear a mask and avoid breathing in the dust.
Cyclonic cleaners have the advantage of not requiring paper bags, but to clean with high
suction power, we recommend frequent disposal of dust and filter maintenance.
