Real-time Virtual Sonography
Preparation
Real-time Virtual Sonography (RVS) allows the real-time creation of cross-section (virtual) images that match the ultrasonic image reflecting the position and inclination of the probe. Cross-section images are retrieved out of the volume data (CT/MR/US) that has been captured beforehand. Virtual images are intended only for reference purposes. No puncture procedure or diagnosis must be determined based solely on the observation of the virtual image.
