IMPORTANT - If placing TV into cabinet or alcove, ensure there is at least a 100mm (10cm) gap to the sides, rear and top of the TV. This is to allow for adequate ventilation during operation. Please read the main Users Guide for more safety information before installation.

• It is recommended that a scart lead should be fitted between your TV and VCR to enhance your picture and sound quality. Scart leads are essential if you have a stereo TV and VCR and wish to obtain stereo sound from your equipment. These leads can be purchased from your Hitachi dealer or any good High Street electrical retailer.

Your LCD Television is capable of displaying High Definition pictures from devices such as a High Definition Satellite Receiver or DVD Device.These devices must be connected via the HDMI socket or Component Socket.

NB: When the set is first switched on, the set will be in standby and the indicator on the front of the set will illuminate red. Press Operate/Standby or channel up down (P- , P+) or numeric buttons (1, 2, 3, ...) to operate.

start A.P.S. (Auto Programming System)

When the TV is turned on for the first time, the menu for the language selection appears on the screen. The messag e “Welcome please select your language!” is written in all language options sequentially in the menu on the screen. By pressing or buttons highlight the language you want to set and
press OK. After then, First time Installation Menu will appear on screen. By pressing or buttons, select country item you want to set and press OK button.| }

After the First Time Installation is set, the following message appears on the screen. Do you want to start an automatic channel scan? To start automatic search, select “Yes”, to cancel select “No”. This process will take about five minutes. To cancel searching, you can press “MENU” button at any time during the process.

After Automatic Search process is completed, a message asking for analogue channel search appears on the screen. To continue Auto Program, first set the language, country and teletext language by using or button and then press the RED or OK button

After APS is finalized, the programme table will appear on the screen. In the programme list you will see the programme numbers and names assigned to the programmes.

important note.
Once the TV has found all your local stations, they are then automatically assigned a programme number and name, if available from the broadcast.

important note before using DVD
In TV mode repeatedly press the AV button until DVD is selected then press the DVD button on the remote control.
DVD cannot be operated unless user selects DVD mode on remote control.
how to watch a DVD

Switch the TV on.

Press DVD button on Remote Control.

Press play button if there is a disc inside of the loader.

If there is no disc inside of the loader please insert a disc properly.

Select the preferred menu item from DVD menu when it’s displayed and press SELECT.
