Hisense RB320 Range – Recommended Settings and FAQ
We hope the advice below will help you make the most of the features and benefits of your new fridge
What should I do after unpacking the fridge:
Please let it stand for 4 hours without plugging in to allow the refrigerant gasses to settle. In the meantime, remove all tape and polystyrene supporting the shelves from inside the fridge
What Thermostat setting should I use:
Once settled, plug in the fridge and set the thermostat to number 2 – this is the best setting for this model. Once loaded with food and left for 24 hours adjust if necessary. Please note - setting number 1 is the warmest and 7 is the coldest
Frost has built up on the back wall of the fridge:
A light coating is normal on this model but if it becomes excessive, reduce the thermostat setting a small amount and remove the frost with a damp cloth soaked in hot water. Also wipe the door seal and cabinet where the seal sits as any debris may stop the door from sealing correctly.
The sides are getting very warm is this ok:
This is normal on first use when the fridge has been switched off for a while or when a significant amount of food has been loaded into the unit. The sides of the unit will become quite warm (similar to a hot bath but no hotter than a hot radiator) as the system quickly removes heat out of the interior and food.
The water dispenser is not working:
Please check the lever lock has not accidentally been activated. If so please slide to the left to unlock. Otherwise, remove and reseat the water bottle – it needs to be firmly pushed into place within the door.
There is water building up on the lower fridge shelves:
The drain hole inside the fridge compartment at the back may have become blocked – wipe away any food debris and try to clear the hole with a plastic stick and a small amount of hot water containing detergent.
The light does not work:
The bulb may have blown. Replace as per the instruction manual using no more than a 15w fridge bulb (anything more may damage the housing), and check the operation of the lever switch.
Can I use my fridge in a cold environment such as an unheated pantry or garage:
No – the fridge is designed to work in a heated home above 16 C so cannot be used in conservatories, unheated areas or garages as this will cause defrosting or fluctuating temperature
The fridge has stopped working and there’s no power:
1.) Check your house fuse box – the electrics may have tripped on one circuit
2.) Try plugging the fridge into a different plug socket which is known to work correctly. We do not recommend using the
fridge on an extension lead so ensure it is plugged directly into the wall.
My fridge is making a strange sound:
Gurgling and water flow sounds are normal as this is the flow of the refrigerant within the unit. The compressor will make a humming sound and may click as it switches on and off. These are normal operating sounds.
