Important Safety Precautions
Please read the following safeguards for your TV and retain for future reference.
Always follow all warnings and instructions marked on the television.
1. A note about safety and operating instructions
Read and follow all safety and operating instructions, and retain them safely for future reference.
2. Heed Warnings
Adhere to all warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions.
3. Cleaning
Unplug the TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid, abrasive, or aerosol cleaners. Cleaners can permanently
damage the cabinet and screen. Use a lightly dampened cloth for cleaning.
4. Wall Bracket
Wall brackets are not supplied with this product. After market brackets may be available to purchase locally. Please refer to the
specification page for dimensions.
5. Water and Moisture
Avoid dripping or splashing of liquids onto the product. Objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should not be placed on the
product.
6. Setting
Do not place this TV on an unstable cart, stand or table. Placing the TV on an unstable base can cause the TV to fall, resulting
in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the TV. Use only a cart, stand, bracket or table recommended by the
manufacturer or salesperson.
7. Ventilation
Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation, to ensure reliable operation of the TV and to protect it from
overheating. Do not cover the ventilation openings in the cabinet and never place the set in a confined space such as built-in
cabinet unless proper ventilation is provided. Leave a minimum 10cm gap all around the unit.
8. Power Source
This TV should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of
power supplied to your home, consult your appliance dealer or local power company.
9. Power-Cord Protection
Power- supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against
them, paying particular attention to cords at plug, wall outlets, and the point where they exit from the TV. MAIN plug is used as
the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
10. Lightning
For added protection for this TV during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time,
unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the TV due to lightning or
power-line surge.
11. Power Lines
An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits,
or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. Where installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken
to keep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.

12. Overloading
Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
13. Object and Liquid Entry
Never push objects of any kind into this TV through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that
could result in fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on or into the TV.
14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding
If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the TV, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges.
15. Servicing
Do not attempt to service this TV yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other
hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
16. Damage Requiring Service
Unplug the TV from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
(a) When the power - supply cord or plug is damaged.
(b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the TV.
(c) If the TV has been exposed to rain or water.
(d) If the TV does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the
operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work
by a qualified technician to restore the TV to its normal operation.
(e) If the TV has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.

Connection Instructions
Connecting an Aerial
To view television channels correctly, a signal must be
received by the set from the following source:
•
An outdoor VHF/UHF antenna.
Connecting HDMI
Supports digital connections between HDMI - enabled A/
V devices such as (PVRs, DVD, Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, AV
receivers and digital devices).
No sound connection is needed for HDMI to HDMI
connection.
What is HDMI?
•
HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is a high
resolution interface that enables the transmission of
digital audio and video signals using a single cable
without compression.
•
“Multimedia interface” is a more accurate name for it
especially because it allows multiple channels of digital
audio (5.1 channels).The difference between HDMI
and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size, has
the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection)
coding feature installed, and supports multi - channel
digital audio.
•
Use the HDMI terminal for HDMI connection to a
compatible device. If your external device has DVI
only, you should use a DVI-to-HDMI cable (or adapter)
for the connection, and the “R - AUDIO - L” terminal on
DVI for sound output.
Connecting Component Devices (DVD/PVR)
Connect Component video and audio cables to
Component inputs (“Y”(Green), “PB”(Blue), “PR”(Red)) on
the rear of your set and the other ends to corresponding
component video out connectors on the source (PVR,
DVD, etc)

(PVR or DVD) are sometimes labeled Y, B-Y and R-Y

and CR. (Colours for inputs and cables must
correspond on both devices.)
Some devices such as a PVR or DVD players require
a HDMI signal to be set to output in the device’s
settings. (Please consult your device user manual for
instructions.)
Connecting External A/V Devices
Connect a Video RCA cable to an appropriate external A/
V device such as a VCR, DVD or Camcorder.
Connect RCA audio cables to “R (Right/Red) - AUDIO L (Left/White)” and Video cable with yellow connector to
the “Y” (Green) input on the rear of your set and the other
ends to corresponding audio and Video out connectors
on the A/V device.
Connecting a Computer (Depends on the availability
model)
Connect the VGA cable to “VGA” on the rear of your set
and the other end to the Video Card of your computer.
Connect the stereo audio cable to “AUDIO IN” on the rear
of your set and the other end to “Audio Out” of the sound
card on your computer.
Primarily this unit is intended for use as an LCD TV. If
using as a monitor, and compatibility is a problem; please
contact the manufacturer of the PC Video/Graphic’s card
for further support. Perfect compatibility is not warranted.
Connecting USB data Devices
Connect a USB device for browsing photos, listening
music, watching movies. This USB port also can be used
for servicing and updating software on your TV.
Connecting Digital Audio
Connect a coaxial or optical audio device to this jack.
(Depending on the TV model, the digital audio will be
optical or coaxial.)
Connecting Headphones
Headphones can be connected to the headphone output
on the side of your set.
NOTE
Some devices such as a PVR or DVD player require
a “Component/YP
BPR
” signal to be set to output in the
devices settings. (Please consult your device user
manual for instructions.)
Connecting MHL-enabled devices (Depends on the
availability model)
MHL -enabled devices can be connected to the MHL
jack of your set. You can use [▲/▼/◄/►] and [OK] to
navigate on your devices. (The buttons you used to
navigate on your device may vary depending on the
device.)

Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
NOTES

Dispose of your batteries in a designated disposal area. Do not throw the batteries into a fire.
Do not mix battery types or combine used batteries with new ones.
Remove depleted batteries immediately to prevent battery acid from leaking into the battery compartment.
If you do not intend to use the remote control for a long time, remove the batteries.
Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine, heat registers, or fire.
Battery chemicals can cause a rash. If the batteries leak, clean the battery compartment with a cloth. If chemicals touch your
skin, wash immediately.
1. Slide the back cover to open the battery compartment of the remote control.
2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure to match the (+) and ( - ) ends of the
batteries with the (+) and ( - ) ends indicated in the battery compartment.

Using the Remote Control
Turning your TV on and off
To turn your TV on: Connect the TV to an AC power outlet
and an external antenna, then turn on the power via
switch located below the front right hand side of unit.
•
Turning off to standby mode: Press [ STANDBY ] for a
few seconds to turn on the TV or put the TV in standby
mode.
•
Power indicator: Light indicates standby mode.
NOTE
Turn the power switch off when you do not intend to
use the TV for long periods, for example overnight.
Remove the connection from the wall power outlet if
you do not intend to use the unit for longer periods,
for example if you plan to be away a few days. Wait at
least 5 seconds after turning off if you want to re-start
the TV.
Selecting the Input Source
•
Select the Input Source depending on the video device
you have connected to your TV.
•
To select the Input Source:
Press [Source] button. When the list of Input Source
appears, press [▲/▼] to select the source, then Press
[OK] to connect.
Adjusting the volume
Press [VOL˄/VOL˅ ] to increase or decrease the volume.
Press [ Mute ] to turn the sound off. Press [ Mute ] again
to turn the sound back on.
Changing channels
Press the [CH Λ/CH V] buttons to go to the next higher
or lower channel. Or, Press the number buttons to select
a channel. For example, to select channel 12, press [1],
then press [2].
Selecting the sound mode
Press the [Sound] button to select between 4 different
pre-adjusted sound modes: Standard, Music, Personal
and Movie.
Selecting the picture mode
Press the [Picture] button to select between 4 different
pre-adjusted picture modes: Standard, Mild,Personal and
Dynamic.
Selecting the aspect ratio
Press the [Zoom] button to change the screen aspect
ratio among Auto, 4:3, Full, Zoom1, Zoom2.
NOTE
The option of aspect is vary with different source.
Freezing a picture
Press the [Still] button to freeze the image at any
moment.
Press again to resume normal motion.
Setting the sleep timer
You can specify how long you want your TV to wait for
before it automatically turns off.
Pressing [Sleep] button repeatedly will allow you to
change the sleep timer mode: Off, 5 minutes, 15 minutes,
30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, and
240 minutes.
Audio function
Pressing [ I/II ] button the TV screen will display the Audio
options such as Stereo/Dual I/Dual II/Mixed.
Displaying Channel List
Press [OK] to display the full list of digital and analogue
channels available.
Electronic Programming Guide (EPG)
Provides convenient access to the television programs
that will be available in the next 7 days. The information
displayed by the EPG is made available by the
commercial television networks for digital channels only.
The EPG also provides a simple way to program the
recording of your favorite programs. There is no need to
setup complicated timers.
Press the button EPG in the remote control to enter EPG
menu.
Press the [Red] button to display previous date.
Press the [Green] button to display next date.
Press the [Yellow] button to see the setting you have
done before.
Press the [Blue] button to set reminder for the program
you want to watch.

NOTE
An USB storage device must be attached to the
television for recording purposes. Please refer to the
PVR section of this manual.

EPG functions
The Remind function will change automatically
channels at the correct time so that you do not miss
programs of interest. Select the program from the EPG
and press the [BLUE] button “Reminder” to setup this
feature.
Press the [GREEN] button “NextDate” when the EPG
is active to display detailed information and comments
about television programs of tomorrow.
Press the [YELLOW] button “Schedule” to display a list
of scheduled recordings and reminders.
How to record program using PVR Function
The PVR list function enables the user to easily record
the digital television content for later viewing. The function
is to be used in DTV source only, the format of storage
disk must be FAT32. This option does not commence if
the data storage device has not been connected. You
can press record button [●] on remote control to record
the DTV program you are watching. Press [■] button to
stop recording. To record future program, press [EPG]
button and then select the program you want to record by
pressing [●] button. Frequency of recording can be set as
as once, daily or weekly.
NOTE
If TV already set for parental guidance, you need to
check the rating of the desired schedule program
for recording with the level of your setting. If the
selected program for recording is over the selected
parental guidance rating, TV will not start recording the
program.

Turning the TV On for the First Time
1. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket after you have completed all the connections.
2. Switch on at the bottom of the TV.
3. The first time you turn the TV on, it will go straight into the Installation Guide. It will assist you to specify the OSD Language,
Mode Setting, Country, Tuner Type, Auto Scan, LCN, Auto Channel Update.
NOTE
•
Always disconnect the TV from the mains socket when it is not in use for a long period of time. To completely disconnect
the mains power, please remove the mains plug from the mains socket or switch off the power switch.
4. Press the [▲/▼/◄/►] buttons to navigate the menu and change the settings.

Select your desired language to be displayed on the menu.
Mode Setting
Select your Mode Setting: Store Mode and Home Mode.
Store Mode: Optimizes the picture for store environments.
Home Mode: Recommended mode for the home use and low power consumption.
Please note that Use settings are not saved after switching off the TV when you select Store Mode.
Country
Select the country where you will operate the TV.
Tuner Type
Select your Tuner Type: Antenna and Cable.
Auto Scan
Select your Auto Scan: ATV, DTV, DTV+ATV.
LCN
Logical Channel Numbers:
In a convenient and familiar way to provide program numbers to users.

Brightness
Adjust the overall luminance of the picture.
Contrast
Adjust the luminance ratio between black and white.

Adjust to achieve the optimum sharpness of edges and details within the picture.
Saturation
Adjust flesh tones so that they appear natural.
Hue
Change the backlight level. (Only available when receiving systems is NTSC)
Color Temp
Adjust the color components independently to achieve the desired warm or cool feeling by selecting one
of the following options: Standard, Warm and Cool.
Aspect Ratio
You can set various display modes which are shown as follows. Or press the [

Using the Sound Menu
Screen Mode
Adjust HDMI display mode. You can select Auto, Video or PC.
NR
Reduce the noise level of the connected devices. You could select one of the following options: Off, Weak,
Medium, Strong.
Dynamic
Contrast
Adjust the dynamic contrast feature of the screen: Off, Weak, Medium, Strong. If this option is Off, the TV
will automatically adjust the screen contrast.
Sound Mode
Select the Sound Mode options based on the personal requirement: Personal / Standard / Music / Movie.
Treble
Adjust the treble level of the sounds.
Bass
Adjust the bass level of the sounds.
Balance
Adjust the relative volume of the speakers between the left and right speakers.
Surround
Sound
You can On/Off of the surround sound.
AVC
Turn automatic volume control on or off. The option keeps the audio in a preset range to eliminate large
spikes in volume.
SPDIF
Send digital audio to an external audio system. You can select: PCM / Auto / Off.
PCM
PCM outputs two channel audio regardless of the input format.
Auto
Select digital audio output format Auto.
Audio
Description
Audio Description is an auxiliary audio function that provides an additional audio track for visually
challenged persons. This function handles the Audio Stream for the AD (Audio Description), when it is
sent along with the main audio from the broadcaster.

Using the Lock System Menu
Enter Password
Prevent unauthorized users, such as children, from watching unsuitable programme.
When you first use this function, the default password is [
0000
]. Once you input this password, you can
continue to the next operation. You can change password in the New Password submenu..
Enable
The Lock System must be set to On for this function to operate. Set to
Off
is prohibit of the function.
Channel Locks
Channel Lock is designed to prevent children watching unsuitable programs. Press the [OK] button
and enter to the menu. Then press the [▲/▼] buttons to select the channels you want to lock and
then press the [OK] button to conrm. A lock icon will display on the right of the channel and then the
channel is locked. (Not available in HDMI or Component mode)
Parental Rating
This function allows you to set up blocking schemes to block programmes and channels with age
ratings. It operates according to information from the broadcasting station, therefore if the signal has
incorrect or no information, this function will not operate.
Lock Keypad
You can select On / Off. If you set to On, you will use the keypad input the password.
New Password
Enter a new password and then enter it again to confirm it The new PIN will be activated.
Clear Lock
Remove parental control settings.

Audio
Languages
Allows you to select your desired audio languages. Press the [◄/►] buttons to select the Audio Primary

Subtitle
Allows you to select your desired subtitle language. Press the [◄/►] buttons to select the Subtitle

Time Settings
OSD Timer
Allows you to select the display time of the on-screen Menu: Off, 10 seconds, 20
seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds.
Sleep Timer
The sleep timer automatically switches the TV to standby after the preset time has
elapsed. The clock will be set automatically when receiving a digital signal. Time must
be set before using Sleep Timer function.
Press the [◄/►] buttons to select a period of time after which the TV automatically
switches to standby mode: Off / 5 / 15 / … / 120 / 240 Mins. The timer begins to count
down from the number of minutes selected.
NOTES
If you turn the TV off after setting the sleep timer, the sleep timer setting will be
erased.
Auto Sleep
Select the Auto Sleep options based on the personal requirement: Off / 3 hours / 4
hours / 5 hours.
Time Zone
When you select a Time Zone city, the TV time is set by the time offset information
based on Time Zone and GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) which is received with the
broadcast signal and the time is set automatically by a digital signal.

Auto Sync
Allows to adjust the date and time manual when it is set to Off. Select
On to output the time information from digital signal (DTV).

Other Information
TroubleShooting
If the TV does not operate as usual or appears to be faulty please read carefully this section. Many operational issues can be
resolved by users.
It is also advisable to unplug the TV from the AC socket on the wall for 60 seconds or more, then reconnect and start again.
This simple procedure helps in restoring stable conditions for electric circuits and firmware of the unit.
Please contact Manufacturer Customer Care if the problem is unresolved or you have other concerns.
SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
No sound or picture.
Check if the power cord is plugged into a powered AC outlet.
A power switch on the right side bottom edge of the front panel must be turned on. Press the
[POWER] button on the remote control to activate the unit from Standby.
Check to see if LED light is either red or blue. If illuminated, power to TV is OK.
I have connected an external source
to my TV and I get no picture and/or
sound.
Check for the correct output connection on the external source and for the correct input
connection on the TV.
Make sure you have made the correct selection for the input mode for the incoming signal.
When I turn on my television, there
is a few second delay before the
picture appears. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. That is the TV searching for previous setting information and initializing the TV.
Picture is normal, but no sound.
Check the volume settings.
Check if Mute mode is set “on”.
Sound but no picture or black and
white picture.
If black and white picture first unplug TV from AC outlet and re-plug after 60 seconds.
Check that the Colour is set to 50 or higher.
Try different TV channels.
Sound and picture distorted or
appear wavy.
An electrical appliance may be affecting TV set. Turn off any appliances, if interference goes
away, move appliance farther away from TV.
Insert the power plug of the TV set into another power outlet.
Sound and picture is blurry or cuts
out momentarily.
If using an external antenna, check the direction, position and connection of the antenna.
Adjust the direction of your antenna or reset or fine tune the channel.
Horizontal/vertical stripe on picture
or picture is shaking.
Check if there is interfering source nearby, such as appliance or electric tool.
The plastic cabinet makes a “clicking”
type of sound.
"Click" sound can be caused when the temperature of the television changes. This change causes
the television cabinet to expand or contract, which makes the sound. This is normal and the TV is
OK..
Remote control does not work.
Confirm that TV still has power and is operational.
Change the batteries in the remote control.
Check if the batteries are correctly installed.
