Wireless LAN
The LR8450-01 Memory HiLogger communicates with the Z3230 Wireless LAN Adapter using radio waves within the
2.4 GHz frequency band. No radio station licenses are required; however, make sure to note the following points:
DANGER
Do not use the product near any medical devices,
including a heart pacemaker.
Radio waves emitted from the product can cause medical devices, such as a heart pacemaker, to malfunctions, resulting in accidents.
WARNING
Do not use the product in the following
applications: medical use, nuclear power, aerospace, those involving human lives such as transportation, and those requiring high reliability.
Hioki shall not be held liable for any accidents resulting in injury or death or damage to the product (or to other property) caused by use of the product in such applications.
NOTICE
Do not use the LR8450-01 and its wireless
modules near other wireless communications devices that use the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
Doing so may cause unstable communications or
a󰀨ect the operation of other devices.
Install each wireless module (Z3230 Wireless LAN
Adapter) within a line-of-sight distance of 30 m from the LR8450-01.
Keep clear of any obstacles, such as a wall and
metallic object, between the LR8450-01 and each wireless module.
Failure to do so may cause unstable communications or shorten a communication distance.
Mounting the Wireless Module on a Wall
You will need:
Mounting screws M4×8 mm or longer
Mounting plate (accessory) ..............................................1
Flat-head screws M3×4 mm (accessory)
A Phillip’s head screwdriver (No. 2) ..................................1
Secure the mounting plate onto the rear of the

wireless module with two at-head screws
(M3×4
mm, accessory).
NOTICE
Use the M3×4 mm at-head screws only.
Using other screws can damage the wireless module or cause the wireless module to detach from the mounting plate.

Attaching the Z3230 to the Wireless Module
Turn o󰀨 the wireless module and disconnect the AC

Adapter.
Do not connect any input cables.
Attach the Z3230 Wireless LAN Adapter to the top

side of the wireless module.
Insert the Z3230 as far as it will go.
Tighten the captive screw of the Z3230.

NOTICE
Use the captive screw of the Z3230 only.
Using another screw can damage the wireless module.
Secure the mounting plate on a wall with two M4

screws.
No mounting screws come with the wireless module. Use commercially available screws.
Recommended screws: M4×8 mm or longer
Front
CAUTION
Properly secure the mounting plate on a solid
wall.
Failure to do so can cause the wireless module to fall, causing an accident resulting in injury or death or damage to the wireless module.
