from the product, please read this manual first,
and keep it handy for future reference.

essential for safe operation of the product and for
maintaining it in safe operating condition. Before
using the product, be sure to carefully read the

Inspection
When you receive the product, inspect it carefully
to ensure that no damage occurred during
shipping. In particular, check the accessories,
panel switches, and connectors. If damage is
evident, or if it fails to operate according to the
specifications, contact your dealer or Hioki

Installation
CAUTION
This product is designed for indoor use, and
operates reliably from 5
to 40 .
NOTE
This is a Floppy Disk Drive Unit designed
specifically for the 3166 CLAMP ON POWER
HiTESTER.
For details on that 9595, refer to the 3166
Instruction Mannual.
Maintenance and Service
To clean the product, wipe it gently with a soft
cloth moistened with water or mild detergent.
Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol,
acetone, ether, ketones, thinners or gasoline, as
they can deform and discolor the case.
If damage is suspected, check the section 17.2,
"Troubleshooting" in the Instruction Manual of
the 3166 before contacting your dealer or Hioki
representative.
Connection Method
WARNING
・
For safety reasons, disconnect the voltage
cord and clamp-on sensors from the 3166.
・
In order to prevent damage to the equipment,
be sure to always turn off the 3166 before
making any connections.
1. Turn off the 3166.
2. Use four screws to attach the 9595 FDD UNIT
to the back of the 3166's case as shown in the
diagram.
3. Connect the connecting cable for the 9595 FDD
UNIT to the FDD UNIT connector on the 3166.
Make sure that the connector's locking
mechanism engages securely. When
disconnecting the connecting cable, press in
both tabs of the locking mechanism to release it
and then disconnect the connector.

Attaching the FDD Unit
Operation
Except for loading and ejecting floppy disks, all
operations are performed through the 3166.
Refer to the chapter 14, "Using the FDD UNIT
(Optional)" in the Instruction Manual of the 3166.

The 9595 is a dedicated FDD Unit intended to be
connected only to the 3166 CLAMP ON POWER
