この機器は測定方法を間違えると人身事故や機器の故
障につながる可能性があります。取扱説明書を熟読し、
十分に内容を理解してから操作してください。万一事故
があっても、弊社製品が原因である場合以外は責任を負
いかねます。

使用上の注意

この取扱説明書には本器を安全に操作し、安全な状態に
保つのに要する情報や注意事項が記載されています。本
器を使用する前に下記の安全に関する事項をよくお読み
ください。

• 本器による測定箇所は、安全のため必ずブレーカの二次側
で行ってください。

• 最大入力電流は 10 A です。この最大入力電流を超えると本
器を破損し、人身事故になるので測定しないでください

• 対地間最大定格電圧は DC70 V/AC33 Vrms です。大地に対
してこの電圧を超える測定はしないでください。本器を破
損し、人身事故になります。

• 本器をぬらしたり、ぬれた手で測定しないでください。感
電事故の原因になります。

• 腐食性ガスや爆発性ガスが発生する場所では使用しないで
ください。本器の破損もしくは、爆発事故を誘発する可能
性があります。

• 感電、短絡事故を避けるため、本器を接続する前に測定ラ
インの電源をしゃ断してください。

• 感電・短絡事故を避けるため、確実に接続されていること
を確認してください。端子が緩んでいると、接触抵抗が大
きくなり、発熱、焼損、火災の原因になります。

• 通電状態では、外付シャント抵抗とアース間に電圧が発生
します。シャントに触れたり、ライン間を接触させないで
ください。

• 直射日光や高温、多湿、結露するような環境下での、保存
や使用はしないでください。変形、絶縁劣化を起こし、仕
様を満足しなくなります。

• 不安定な台の上や傾いた場所に置かないでください。落ち
たり、倒れたりした場合、けがや本体の故障の原因になり
ます。

• 底面以外の部分を下にして設置しないでください。本器の
故障や火災を引き起こす恐れがあります。

• 本器は防じん・防水構造となっていません。ほこりの多い
環境や水のかかる環境下で使用しないでください。故障の
原因になります。

• 本器の損傷を防ぐため、運搬および取扱いの際は振動、衝
撃を避けて下さい。特に、落下などによる衝撃に注意して
ください。本器を破損します。

トランスや大電流路など強磁界の発生している近く、また無線
機など強電界の発生している近くでは、正確な測定ができない
場合があります。

Inspection and Maintenance

Initial Inspection

When you receive the product, inspect it carefully to en­sure that no damage occurred during shipping. If damage
is evident, or if it fails to operate according to the specifi­cations, contact your dealer or HIOKI representative.

Preliminary Checks

• Before using the product the first time, verify that it oper­ates normally to ensure that the no damage occurred
during storage or shipping. If you find any damage, con­tact your dealer or Hioki representative.

Maintenance and Service

• If the product seems to be malfunctioning, contact your
dealer or Hioki representative. Pack the product carefully
so that it will not be damaged during shipment, and include
a detailed written description of the problem. Hioki cannot
be responsible for damage that occurs during shipment.

Follow these precautions to ensure safe operation and to
obtain the full benefits of the various functions.

Mishandling this product during use could result in injury or
death, as well as damage to the product. Be certain that
you understand the instructions and precautions in the
manual before use. We disclaim any responsibility for acci­dents or injuries not resulting directly from product defects.

Usage Notes

• Do not allow the product to get wet, and do not take
measurements with wet hands. This may cause an
electric shock.

• Do not use the product where it may be exposed to
corrosive or combustible gases. The product may be
damaged or cause an explosion.

• In order to prevent electric shock and short-circuit
accidents, shut off the power to the line to be mea­sured before connecting the this product.

• To avoid electrical accidents, confirm that all connec­tions are secure. The increased resistance of loose
connections can lead to overheating and fire.

• When using an external shunt, be careful not to touch
the shunt or allow the cable to come into contact with
the shunt to avoid circuit short.

• Do not store or use the product where it could be ex­posed to direct sunlight, high temperature or humidity,
or condensation. Under such conditions, the product
may be damaged and insulation may deteriorate so
that it no longer meets specifications.

• Do not use the product in any way such that the venti­lation holes in the top and bottom of the case are ob­structed. This can cause the internal temperature to
rise, and lead to fire or malfunction.

• Do not install the product with any side except the bot­tom facing down. This may cause a fire or other mal­function in the product.

• This product is not designed to be entirely water- or
dust-proof. Do not use it in an especially dusty environ­ment, nor where it might be splashed with liquid. This
may cause damage.

• To avoid damage to the product, protect it from physi­cal shock when transporting and handling. Be espe­cially careful to avoid physical shock from dropping.

• Correct measurement may be impossible in the presence of
strong magnetic fields, such as near transformers and high­current conductors, or in the presence of strong electromag­netic fields such as near radio transmitters.

Measurement Procedures

1.Set the instrument at the voltage range suitable for mea­suring 100 mV.

2.The red plug connected to the 9081 voltage terminal is

3.The 9081 current terminals are connected into the mea-

suring circuit. The leads for making the connection be­tween the 9081 current terminals and the measuring
circuit should be selected to keep the voltage drop neg­ligible. If this voltage drop is large, the influence on the
measurement will not permit accuracy to be obtained in
the measuring circuit. Also, the leads must be securely
attached to the current terminals.

4.Because the current value measured is a conversion

from the voltage (mV), care should be taken with re­spect to the location of the decimal point and the unit
values of voltage (mV).

checked.

• After using the shunt for a long continuous period, it will tend
to become warm, and care should be taken in handing it.

Measuring circuit

Direct current measurement

Even 10 ADC can be measured by using this HIOKI "9081
EXTERNAL SHUNT" if there is a voltage measurement
that can measure 100 mVDC.

• For safety, this product connections must always be
made at the secondary side of a circuit breaker.

• The maximum input current is 10 A. Attempting to
measure current in excess of the maximum input cur­rent could destroy the product and result in personal
injury or death.

• The maximum rated voltage between input terminals
and ground is 70 VDC/33 Vrms. Attempting to mea­sure voltages exceeding 70 VDC/33 Vrms with
respect to ground could damage the product and
result in personal injury.
