Drawing 1 - Glass / shade Installation

Item No. 3794

1. Find a clear area in which you can work.

2. Unpack fixture and glass from carton.

3. Carefully review instructions prior to assembly.

*** Assembly of this fixture will be accomplished by first, assembling the main body, installing the mounting hardware to the junction box, making all necessary electrical connections, hanging the fixture from the ceiling and then installing the glass and shade.

1. To begin fixture assembly please refer to instruction sheet (IS-92) provided. Please read all instruction sheets supplied prior to starting assembly or installation.

2. After fixture is installed refer back to this instruction sheet for shade installation instructions.

1. To begin shade installation first rotate outside yoke (1) until there is enough room to slide glass into center of fixtrure - see Drawing 1.

2. Next take flat metal washer (2) and slip over the threaded tube (T) located in the center of the fixture, followed by plastic washer (3).

3. Now take glass (4) and slip center hole over threaded tube in the center of the fixture and hold in position while threading on finial knob (5). Tighten still snug.

4. Fixture can be lamped accordingly at this time.

5. Slip fabric shade (6) into center of fixture and around glass. Lay shade tabs (S) onto glass and position shade.

6. Next rotate outside yoke (1) so it is perpendicular to inside yoke.

7. Fixture is complete and power can be restored.

3. Maintenant, prendre un verre (4) et glisser le trou central sur le tube fileté dans le centre de l'appareil et maintenez la position pendant le filetage sur le bouton fleuron (5). serrer encore serré.

 If installing a wall mount ﬁxture, use caulk to seal gaps between the

ﬁxture mounting plate (backplate) and the wall. This will help prevent water from entering the outlet box. If the wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a ﬁxture mounting platform specially.

Flush Mount Fixtures

For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the ﬁxture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the ﬁxture mounting strap (M) with the ground screw (S) - see Drawing 1.

Note: On straps for screw supported ﬁxtures, ﬁrst install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.

Chain Hung Fixtures

Loop ﬁxture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) under the head of the ground screw (S) on ﬁxture mounting strap (M) and connect to the loose end of the ﬁxture ground wire directly to the ground w connectors - see Drawing 2.

Post-Mount Fixtures

Connect ﬁxture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cover open end of connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal - see Drawing 3.
