är Kaitum GT mycket starkt om det används korrekt, men det kräver noggrann

We strongly recommend that you read these instructions completely before setting
up your tent, and that you practice setting up your tent at home before taking it
on a backcountry trip.
You have invested in a truly high-end, high quality tent, so take care of your
investment. Despite its light weight, the Kaitum GT is exceptionally strong if
used correctly, but it does require proper care and handling to function at its full
potential. Follow the directions in this booklet, and pay attention to the Care and
Maintenance section. Doing this will ensure the greatest longevity of your tent
and the maximum benefit to you.

Wir empfehlen Dir, diese Anleitung vor dem ersten Aufbau Deines Zeltes gründlich
durchzulesen und den Aufbau zu üben, bevor Du mit Deinem neuen Zelt die erste
Tour unternimmst.
Du hast mit diesem Zelt ein hoch qualitatives Produkt erworben und solltest es auch
dementsprechend handhaben. Trotz seines geringen Gewichts ist das Kaitum GT,
bei korrekter Anwendung, extrem belastbar. Um optimal zu funktionieren, bedarf
es daher sorgfältiger Pflege und Handhabung. Folge dieser Anleitung und beachte
vor allem die Pflegehinweise. So wirst Du an diesem Zelt lange Freude haben!
Kaitum GT innehåller följande

obs: Det finns 22 fästpunkter för markpinnar. Man kan resa tältet med endast 4
markpinnar men vi rekommenderar att du alltid använder alla markpinnar och linor
eftersom vädret kan växla snabbt.
What’s Included with the Kaitum GT

lines with line runners; four 9 mm poles, 2 x 260 cm (145.7 in) and 2 x 305 cm
(102.4 in) with the Kaitum 2 GT, and 2 x 285 cm (112.2 in) and 2 x 328 cm (129.1
in) with the Kaitum 3 GT; 22 pegs; stuff bags for tent, poles and pegs; one spare
pole section; one pole repair sleeve; and an instruction booklet.
note: There are 22 possible peg points on the Kaitum GT. Basic pitching takes
just four pegs, but we recommend that you carry and use the others, and that you
make guy line use part of your normal routine, since weather in the backcountry
is always unpredictable!

achtung! Das Zelt besitzt 22 Ansatzpunkte für die Heringe; es werden davon
minde-stens vier benötigt, damit das Zelt steht. Wir empfehlen jedoch, jederzeit
alle Punkte und Leinen zu verankern, da das Wetter schnell umschlagen kann.

Välj en så vindskyddad och jämn plats som möjligt, och fri från sådant som
kan skada ditt tält.
Viktigt om hantering av tältstängerna
Våra tältstänger är av högsta kvalitet men de är en lättviktsprodukt som kräver
korrekt hantering, annars kan stången knäckas och i värsta fall leda till fara. Kasta
aldrig ut en stång för hopsättning, eftersom stångdelarna kan få sprickor eller
andra skador när de slår ihop.

– 5 Vik ut och sätt noga ihop en sektion i taget. Se till att delarna går ihop
riktigt och att de inte glider isär under uppsättningen eftersom en glipa kan orsaka
stångbrott.
Choosing a tent site

Find a spot that is as protected as possible from the wind, and that is even, level
and free of anything that might damage your tent.
Important note about pole usage
Our tent poles are the best available, but they are still lightweight aluminum and so
require proper care. Incorrectly handled, a pole can break, which is inconvenient at
best and potentially dangerous at worst. Never extend a pole by simply flinging it
open, since the sections hitting each other can cause cracks or other damage.

– 5 Unfold each pole carefully, making sure to seat each section into place,
and ensure that the pole sections do not pull apart during pitching as the resulting
gaps can lead to breakage.

Benutzung des Gestänges
Unsere Gestänge sind von höchster Qualität und auf Leichtigkeit konzipiert. Daher
müssen sie korrekt gehandhabt werden. Bei unsachgemäßer Anwendung können sie
brechen und im schlimmsten Fall Deine Sicherheit gefährden. Wirf nie die Stangen
zum Zusammenbauen aus, da so Risse oder andere Schäden entstehen können!

– 5 Setze die Stangen einzeln und Stück für Stück zusammen. Kontrolliere,
dass alle Stangenteile richtig zusammengesteckt sind. Dieses müssen sie auch
beim gesamtem Aufbau bleiben, da sie sonst brechen könnten.

är det risk för att de dras upp ur marken i hård vind. Om det är svårt att få ner
pinnen är det bättre att skjuta ner den med spetsigare vinkel än att lämna en bit
av pinnen ovan mark.

& 7 Om marken är hård, använd en sten eller liknande för att pressa eller
knacka ner pinnen.
Lay out the tent

& 2 Lay out the tent, and set the adjustable peg attachment points to their
longest settings.

Especially in windy conditions, use a guy line to secure the
tent to a backpack or other heavy item so it cannot blow away.

Peg one vestibule (if it is windy, peg that vestibule aimed into the wind). When
pegging all the corners, make sure to put the peg through the metal ring.

Press the pegs completely into the ground at about a 45° angle to the surface
of the ground so that they won’t get pulled up in strong winds. It is better to use
a steeper angle than it is to leave a peg sticking up from the ground.

& 7 If it is hard to get the pegs in, use a rock or other hard object to press – or
if necessary, to lightly hammer – them into the ground.

Die Heringe sollten so tief wie möglich in den Boden gesetzt werden. Der beste
Winkel ist zirka 45°. So können sie sich bei starkem Wind nicht lösen. Sollte es
schwer sein, die Heringe tief in den Boden zu setzen, ist es ratsam, die Heringe in
einem Winkel kleiner als 45° zu setzen.

& 7 Sollte der Boden zu hart sein, nehme einen Stein o. ä. zur Hilfe.

& 2 Skjut en stång ungefär halvvägs in i kanalen, håll sedan fast stången med
ena handen och dra på resten av kanalen. Det är mycket viktigt att stången bottnar
fullständigt i den slutna änden.

& 4 Fatta bandet till stånghållaren (som skall vara i sin längsta position) och
skjut in resterande del av stången i kanalen.

– 9 Sätt stången i stånghållaren.
Drag åt bandet till dess stånghållaren ligger intill tältduken och med botten i nivå
med dess nedre kant. Gör på samma sätt med de andra stängerna.

Stånghållare och kanaler är gjorda så att du vid behov kan använda dubbla
stänger. Det ökar stabiliteten och styrkan på tältet under extrema vädersituationer.
Inserting the poles

& 2 Push the fi rst pole about half-way into its sleeve, then hold onto the pole
while pushing the pole sleeve material onto the pole. note Make sure the pole
end is seated completely into the closed end of the pole sleeve.

& 4 After adjusting the pole tensioner to its longest setting, hold the peg loop
attached to the pole tensioner and push on the pole so that it arches into its shape.

– 9 Place the pole end into the plastic pole tensioning cup. Tighten the pole
tensioner’s strap until the pole cup is fl at against the tent and fl ush with the bottom of the tent wall. Repeat with the remaining poles.

The pole cup and sleeves are built to accommodate double poles, which
increases stability and strength for the most extreme conditions.
Einbau des Gestänges

& 2 Schiebe die Stange bis zur Hälfte in den Kanal. Halte sie fest und schiebe
den restlichen Kanal auf die Stange. Es ist wichtig, dass die Stange bis ganz ans
Ende des Kanals geschoben wird.

& 4 Halte das Zelt am Stangenhalter (der so weit wie möglich eingestellt sein
sollte) und schiebe die Stange komplett in den Kanal.

– 9 Setze die Stange in
den Stangenhalter. Ziehe diesen zum Zelt hin fest. Er sollte so nah wie möglich am
Außenzelt und in der Höhe mit dem Zeltboden liegen. Wiederhole alle Schritte mit
den verbleibenden Stangen.

Stangenhalter und Kanäle sind so konstruiert, dass Du bei Bedarf auch doppeltes
Gestänge nutzen kannst. Dieses erhöht die Stabilität und Standfestigkeit des Zeltes
in extremen Wettersituationen.

obs: Kontrollera/justera så att markpinnefästena på absiderna är i sitt längsta läge.
Om du inte har gjort det tidigare, förankra nu den ena absiden. Pinnarna skall vara
helt nere i marken i cirka 45 gr. vinkel. (Se sid 07 för detaljer)

– 4 Tag den andra absiden och drag ut tältet. Kontrollera att tältet är rakt. Sätt
fast markpinnarna i hörnen.

Kontrollera att markpinnarna sitter ordentligt och spänn därefter markpin-
nefästena så att tältet står perfekt.
obs: Om tältet är dåligt spänt, kommer taket och/eller absiderna att hänga, och
tältet fungerar inte optimalt
Finishing the basic setup

note: Make sure the adjustable peg attachments points on the outside corners of
the ves ti bules are set to their longest.
If you have not already done so, peg one end of the tent. Press the pegs fully into
the soil at about a 45° angle to the surface of the ground (see page 07 for more
details on placing pegs).

– 4 Grasp the corners of the unpegged vestibule and pull the tent out, making
sure the tent body is straight. Peg down the corners.

Adjust the peg tensioning loops to make the tent taut and perfectly stretched.
note: If the tent is tensioned poorly, the roof and/or vestibules will sag, and the
tent will not perform optimally

Solltest Du bisher noch keine Abside verankert haben, mache es jetzt. Achte darauf,
die Heringe im richtigen Winkel und weit genug in den Boden zu setzen (s. S. 07).

– 4 Nimm jetzt die andere Abside und ziehe das Zelt lang. Achte darauf, dass
das Zelt gerade ist und setzte dann die Heringe an den Ecken der Abside.

Kontrolliere, dass die Heringe gut sitzen und spanne danach die Heringss-
chlaufen, damit das Zelt stabil steht.
achtung! Sollte das Zelt schlecht gespannt sein, können das Dach oder die Absiden
durchhängen und das Zelt nicht optimal funktionieren
