Safety Instructions
Proper configuration of all passwords and other security settings is the responsibility of
the installer and/or end-user.
In the use of the product, you must be in strict compliance with the electrical safety
regulations of the nation and region. Please refer to technical specifications for detailed information.
Input voltage should meet both the SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited
Power Source with 100~240 VAC or 12 VDC according to the IEC60950-1 standard. Please refer to technical specifications for detailed information.
Do not connect several devices to one power adapter as adapter overload may cause
over-heating or a fire hazard.
Please make sure that the plug is firmly connected to the power socket. If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn off the power at once and unplug the
power cable, and then please contact the service center.
Preventive and Cautionary Tips
Before connecting and operating your device, be advised of the following tips:
Ensure unit is installed in a well-ventilated, dust-free environment. Unit is designed for indoor use only. Keep all liquids away from the device. Ensure environmental conditions meet factory specifications. Ensure unit is properly secured to a rack or shelf. Major shocks or jolts to the unit as a
result of dropping it may cause damage to the sensitive electronics within the unit.
Use the device in conjunction with an UPS if possible. Power down the unit before connecting and disconnecting accessories and peripherals.
Improper use or replacement of the battery may result in explosion. Replace with the same or equivalent type only. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions provided by the battery manufacturer.

Chapter 1 Typical Application
DS-ITP00I Series Coaxial Power Unit powers TVI POC (Power over Coaxial) cameras, and
transmits analog TVI video signals, control signals and electric current from POC camera to DVR.

DS-1TP04I provides 4-ch video inputs and outputs. DS-1TP00I series is able to power POC camera. Video inputs and video outputs should be used in pairs like Camera1 and DVR 1 is a
pair.

Chapter 3 Indicator Description

For DS-1TP04I, the front panel provides four channel indicators. The red power indicator indicates the power is on. Connect the POC camera to video input and the corresponding channel indicator
turns green.

Chapter 4 Operation
Turn off the power switch before replacing the camera or DVR. For detail
operation, please refer to 4.3 Replacing Camera and 4.4 Replacing DVR.
4.1 Starting up
Step 1 Connect the power supply to the device. Step 2 Connect the camera to the video input and connect the DVR to the video output.
Step 3 Turn on the power switch, then the power indicator turns red and the channel
indicators turn green.
It is HIGHLY recommended that an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) be used
in connecting with the device.
4.2 Shutdown
Turn off the power switch.
Do not unplug the power cord, when the device is working.
4.3 Replacing Camera
Step 1 Turn off the device according to 4.2 Shutdown. Step 2 Connect the replaced POC camera to video input on the coaxial power unit. Step 3 Start up the device according to 4.1 Starting up.

Only Hikvision POC cameras are supported.
4.4 Replacing DVR
Step 1 Turn off the device according to 4.2 Shutdown. Step 2 Replace the DVR. Step 3 Turn on the power switch after the DVR has been replaced. Step 4 Start up the device according to 4.1 Starting up.
