If the plug of the power cord needs to be replaced, it is important for the plug replacement is identical to the plug to be replaced, or that the new plug has been recommended by the manufacturer.

Power supply Only the power supply indicated on the rating plate must be used for this unit. If you are not sure which power supply you have, please contact the distributor or the local electricity supplier. This equipment must be connected to the ground.

Cleaning Unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not use liquid detergents and aerosol cleaning agents. Use a dry cloth.

Warranty and Service

Highland Audio loudspeakers have been designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards. If something goes wrong with your product, Highland Audio or its authorized distributor / dealer will handle the service and repair under these limited warranty terms. This limited warranty is valid for a period of 2 years period from original purchase date from an authorized Highland Audio dealer.

TERMS OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY The warranty is limited to the repair of the equipment. Neither transportation, nor any other costs, nor any risk for removal, transportation and installation of products is covered by this warranty. The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable. The warranty will not apply in cases other than defects in materials and / or workmanship at the date of purchase and will not be applicable in the following cases:

- Damages caused by wrong or incorrect installation or connection.

- Damages caused by incorrect use, other use than the one described in the owner’s manual, negligence, unauthorized modiﬁcation or use of parts or of accessories that are not authorized by Highland Audio.

- Damages caused by unauthorized, unsuitable or faulty ancillary equipment.

- Damages caused by accidents, lightning, water, ﬁre, heat or any other disturbance that would not be under Highland Audio control or responsibility.

- For products, which serial number has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible. In case of repair and service executed by an unauthorized service person.

This warranty complements any national/federal/regional law obligations of dealers of local distributors/ dealers and does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

TO CLAIM REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY To claim repair or service under warranty you simply have to contact your local Highland Audio dealer, from whom your equipment has been purchased. To ensure that you will be able to ship your damaged product in correct manner, always retain the original packaging of your Highland Audio equipment.

If you cannot contact your original dealer, or if you are using your Highland Audio product outside the country of purchase, you should contact Highland Audio national distributor in the country of residence, who will advise where the equipment can be serviced. Sources de courant Prenez garde à utiliser une source de courant du même type que celle sérigraphiée au dos de l’appareil. Cet appareil est conçu pour permettre un changement de tension d’alimentation. Vériﬁez bien que celle-ci soit correctement réglée par rapport à votre installation. Une erreur pourrait détruire l’appareil sans couverture de la garantie. Dans le doute, consultez un électricien professionnel. Cet appareil doit être relié à la terre.

Nettoyage Débrancher le cordon secteur avant tout nettoyage. N’utiliser ni aérosols ni décapants liquides ; utiliser un chiffon sec pour le nettoyage.

Garanties et Services

Les enceintes Highland Audio sont conçues et fabriquées suivant les meilleurs standards de qualité. Si votre enceinte Highland Audio présente un défaut, Highland Audio ou un revendeur agréé pourra prendre en charge la réparation dans les limites de cette garantie. 11 - Informations de sécurité L’éclair au centre d’un triangle prévient l’utilisateur de la présence de «courants dangereux» non isolés dans l’appareil qui peuvent être très élevés et constituent un risque d’électrocution.

There are two ways to install the Dord subwoofer:

A - From ampliﬁer with pre out to subwoofer:

Connect the power cord from the ampliﬁer pre out to Line In on the Dord active subwoofer. Hereby the sound signal runs from ampliﬁer subwoofer pre out to the Dord active subwoofer.

B - From ampliﬁer speaker out to subwoofer:

Connect the speaker cords from the ampliﬁer speaker terminations to High Level In on Your active subwoofer. Make sure that the right channel on the ampliﬁer is connected to the right channel on the subwoofer. Repeat the same check for the left channels. Next, connect the front speakers from High Level Out on the Dord active subwoofer. Make sure that the right channel on the subwoofer is connected to the right speaker. Repeat the same check for the left channel.

Il y a deux façons de brancher votre caisson de basses Dord :

A - Depuis l’ampliﬁcateur, avec la prise RCA (out) jusqu’au caisson de grave :

Reliez la prise PRE OUT SUBWOOFER sur l’ampliﬁcateur à la prise RCA Line In sur le caisson de basses.

B - Depuis la sortie enceintes de l’ampliﬁcateur, jusqu’au caisson de grave :

Reliez, à l’aide de câble d’enceintes, les borniers (speaker out) de l’ampliﬁcateur à l’entrée High Level in sur votre caisson actif. Vériﬁez que la sortie droite soit reliée à l’entrée droite, et la sortie gauche à l’entrée gauche. Reliez ensuite la sortie High Level Out aux enceintes frontales, en respectant toujours les côtés.

Setting:

The position of the Dord subwoofer is easy to ﬁnd: If the crossover frequency is 100Hz or more, just place it between the front speaker. In case of low frequency (below 100Hz), the subwoofer position is less signiﬁcant. The front position is always better. If your main speaker produces a good level of deep bass frequencies, we recommend you to select the lowest possible frequency.

Réglages :

Le placement du caisson Dord est simple : si la fréquence de coupure choisie est supérieure à 100Hz, placez le caisson entre les enceintes frontales. Dans le cas contraire, le positionnement du caisson est moins important. Vous pouvez le placer où vous voulez dans la pièce. Un placement entre les enceintes frontales reste dans tous les cas préférable. Si vos enceintes principales ont une bonne réponse en grave, nous recommandons de couper le caisson le plus bas possible.

All connections must be made with the equipment switched off.

Make sure the positive terminal of the speaker (Red) is connected to the positive output terminal of the ampliﬁer and negative (black) to negative. Wrong connection can lead to a cribled image and a loss of bass. Make sure that you always use good quality cables. Highland Audio loudspeakers are supplied conﬁgured for use in a single wired mode.

Tous les branchements doivent être effectués avec l’ampliﬁcateur éteint.

Assurez-vous de bien relier le pôle + de l’ampliﬁcateur au pôle + de l’enceinte. Une erreur de branchement provoquerait une image stéréo brouillée et une perte en graves. Utilisez du câble de bonne qualité prévu pour le branchement des enceintes. Les enceintes Highland sont livrées pour un branchement en simple câblage.
