HESCUT-MTK Metal Template Kit Installation

Product Description

The HESCUT-MTK Metal Template Kit simplies electric
strike installation by providing the proper measurements
for frame preparation (see Figure 1).

The kit contains an ANSI template plate and multiple
attachable lip templates: one each for the 1006, 1500,
1600, 4500, 5000, 5200, 7000, and 7501 Series electric
strikes (see Figure 3). Each template is designed to be
adjustable (slides in and out) to accomodate different
frame reveal lengths, and the 1006/1500/1600 lip
templates can be congured to accommodate both the
standard series frame preparation and the "D" Series
(extra offset) frame preparation (see Figure 2).

1. ADJUST the "L" piece slide for the
applicable length of the different frame
reveals (see Figure 4 (for 1006, 1500,
and 1600), and Figure 5 (for 4500, 5000,
5200, 7000, and 7501).

2. CENTER template on latchbolt centerline
(see Figure 6).

NOTE: The following are the electric strike
scribe mark measurements required
for cutout:

5000 9/16" [14.29 mm]
5200 3/4" [19.05 mm]
4500 7/8" [22.23 mm]
7000 1-1/16" [26.99 mm]
7501 1-3/8" [34.93 mm]
1006 1-9/16" [39.69 mm]
1500 1-1/8" [28.58 mm]
1600 1-3/8" [34.93 mm]

5. CUT the door frame inside of scribed lines.

6. INSTALL hardware in accordance with
product installation instructions.
