CAM BOLT ELIMINATOR KIT FOR 1994-CURRENT DODGE RAM

Pre-Installation Warnings:

Before installing this product on your vehicle, thoroughly read
and understand these instructions and the associated
warnings.

Failure to properly follow all instructions and heed all
warnings may result in major property damage and/or serious
bodily injury or death.

Test drive the vehicle to verify that it does not exhibit any
uncommon sounds or vibra tions .

Inspect this product and all of its associated parts.
Compare the parts to those listed in these instructions. If any
parts are missing or damaged, promptly call and notify us at

877.731.7911. Do not substitute any part or fastener from
any other source. If you desire to return the vehicle to stock,
make sure to save all the original components.

Installation Warnings:

WARNING: ONLY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC SHOULD
INSTALL THIS PRODUCT.

The OEM manual should be used at all times as a reference
guide. The person installing this product should wear safety
glasses and any other personal protection items needed at all
times. Failure to properly install this product m ay result in
serious bodily injury or death.

Maintenance Warnings:

It is your responsibility to re-torque and/or inspect the integrity of
the thread lock (where applicable) of all mounting fasteners after the
first 100 miles, and every 3000 miles thereafter or after heavy use.

Failure to follow these steps could allow fasteners to come
loose and cause serious damage, bodily injury, or death.

Use Warnings:

DRIVE SAFELY! Avoid abrupt maneuvers such as sudden sharp

turns which could cause a roll over, resulting in serious injury or
death.

You are solely responsible for any and all misuse,
abuse, improper installation, and/or improper
maintenance of this product and your vehicle.

After installing this product, drive with extreme cauti on,
particularly until you become familiar with how the vehicle
handles. Slower speeds may be required to maintain control.
Do not engage in an y conduct that would void your vehicle’s
factory warranty, such as jumping t he vehicle, driving the
vehicle in excess of payload towing restrictions, off-road
racing, rock crawling, etc. Always wear a seat belt.

WARNING: The HBS Cam Bolt Eliminator Kit

is designed to work in conjunction with the

HBS Adjustable Control Arms.

The Cam Bolt Eliminator Kit will NOT work with any
fixed-length control arm. Do not install if you do not
have adjustable control arms.

Instructions:

1. Unpack parts to ensure you have all components.

The kit includes the following:

1- Two (2) GR10.9 mounting bolts.
2- Four (4) large zinc-coated cam eliminator washers.
3- Two (2) GR10.9 top-lock flange nuts.

For 1994-1999 Dodge Ram
PN:199-1994-CBE: Req'd Tools .

1. Two (2) 14mm mounting bolts. 22mm socket/wrench

2. Four (4) large cam eliminator washers

3. Two (2) 14mm top-lock flange nuts 21mm socket/wrench
Torque Spec: 14mm mounting nut/bolt: 126 ft-lb

For 2000-2009 Dodge Ram
PN:199-2000-CBE: Req'd Tools .

1. Two (2) 16mm mounting bolts. 24mm socket/wrench

2. Four (4) large cam eliminator washers

3. Two (2) 16mm top-lock flange nuts 24mm socket/wrench
Torque Spec: 16mm mounting nut/bolt: 196 ft-lb

For 2010-Current Dodge Ram
PN:199-2010-CBE: Req'd Tools .

1. Two (2) 18mm mounting bolts. 27mm socket/wrench

2. Four (4) large cam eliminator washers

3. Two (2) 18mm top-lock flange nuts 27mm socket/wrench
Torque Spec: 18mm mounting nut/bolt: 270 ft-lb

Installation:

When installing the HBS Adjustable Lower Control arms,
this kit will replace the OEM cam bolt that is on your
vehicle.

1. Remove the OEM cam bolt located at the front of
the lower control arm.

2. Install large cam replacement washer and
bolt. Place one large cam eliminator washer (Item 2)

onto the bolt (Item 1). Start from the inside, slide the
bolt through the inside axle mount, lower control arm
end joint, and out the outside axle mount.

3. Place a second eliminator washer on the bolt
on the outside of the mount. Again, be sure the large
eliminator washers are sitting inside the U shaped
adjustment rings on the mount. Add the top lock nut
and finger-tighten.

IMPORTANT: Be sure the large eliminator washers on
both inside and outside the mounts are sitting within
the U-shaped adjustment ring on the mount.

4. Tighten nut. Using a wrench on the bolt and a
socket on the nut, tighten the nut.

ATTENTION! As you tighten the nut, ensure t hat the
washers have not shifted. When the nut is snug, check
both large cam eliminator washers to ensure they are
sitting flat against the mount and inside the OEM
adjustment ring.

5. Torque the nut to specification.

6. Repeat on opposite side.
