1. Safety Information
Use only clean water supply.
Use tap
water
Turn on self-cleaning function for about 40
seconds, and then choose the acidic water output
to clean the unit for about 2
minutes, if the unit has not
been in use for 3 days.
Do not drink ionized water if you are:
On Medication.
Lack stomach acid.
Do not subject unit to direct sunlight or near high
temperature sources. Significant rises in internal
temperature may cause over heating or warping
of outer shell.
After filter replacement, let the water run
for 5 minutes.
Use ionized or filtered water as soon as
possible
No chlorine
Check PH level after installation.
Check PH level and maintain the unit
regularly.

5. Installation
Step 1 Quick installation Kit for Faucet
1. First remove origina Faucet aerator. This is done by rotating counter-clockwise.
2. And then slip on Conversion Adaptor., (optional only if faucet connector does not fit your faucet).
3. (A) Connect “Faucet Connector” to your faucet by rotating it counter-clockwise.
(B) Connect the “Beige Rubber Hose” to the ” Faucet Connector” and secure with “Metal Hose
Clamp” (use pliers).
You must cut the hose, so extend it to a sufficient length, and with scissors, cut the hose straight
across in a single cut (ensure you have approximately 16.5 inches / 42 cm of hose left).

Position template on the installation

Mark location for holes and screws.
Do not install in shower rooms.
Drill 3 holes, and insert the plastic
anchors, then mount the hole
template with screws.
Secure the screws.
Place the unit on the template.
Place electrical plug into power
outlet.

7. LCD Display and Operating Instructions
1. LCD indicators for each functions.
Acidic
Working
During ionization process, when
switched to acidic water output, it
makes "beebee" sound and also
"Acidic" light starts blinking. Until
water reaches the acidic level, "Acidic"
light stops blinking, but the beep
sound will continue.
When water input reaches 1.2L/Min, the
ionization process begins, and the "Working"
starts blinking, When water reaches the
desirable PH level, "Working" stops blinking.
When "Working" is blinking, the water has
not been ionized to the desirable level. It is not
ready to use.

Adjust water input volume at 2.5-
3.0 liters per minute for the best
quality.
ORP/PH Levels
Filter Life
Pressing FUN button can change
ORP/PH screen displays which indicate
the ORP/PH value of each setup level.
In ionization process, it indicates the
ORP/PH level of the water output.
Normal Filter life is 12000L. When the
indicator shows 12000L, it is time to
replace the filter.
Filter life varies according to local
water quality. The filter has to be
replaced at least once a year.
To avoid leakage, Input water pressure should NOT exceed 4 L/Min (litres per minute). Lower
the water pressure on your tap by not opening it at full force (2.5 - 3.0 L/Min is ideal setting).
Actual reading is displayed on the unit's LCD Screen at the bottom left hand side under rotating
wheel.

2. Notice of cleaning and auto cleaning.
Clean electrodes.
Remove calcium residue on electrodes if any of
the level indicators starts blinking, it is time that the
unit needs to clean itself. Under this situation, when
water comes into the unit, it starts making beeping
sound for about 40 seconds, and also the LCD
screen displays like the figure below.
Purpose of self cleaning
When the beeping sound stops, it means the auto-cleaning process finishes. The indicator light
will stop blinking and LCD screen will be back as normal.
The unit features adjustment system, and it is a reliable unit. It needs periodic maintenance
and cleaning.
Calcium residue display.
When "Hard Water" is used as input water, extra calcium will deposit on the electrodes. As a
result the ionizer can hardly produce effective ionized water. For example, when there is too
much calcium accumulation, the level indicator will adjust from the 4th level back to the 3rd
level. At the same time, the "Working indicator on LCD screen starts blinking. This problem is
solved by auto cleaning process.
3. Trouble display

Every 12 hours, the water ionizer will start a self-cleaning process in order to clean the electrodes.
Before the process starts, one of the level indicator starts blinking to tell you the ionizer is going to
clean itself. Which level indicator will blink depends on the previous level selected.
When to replace the filter is indicated by "LIFE" on the LCD display.
For a brand new filter, it shows "LIFE:00000L".
When it shows "LIFE:12000L", it is time to replace the filter, since it is not effective any
more.

Warning: If any of the following events happens, replace the filter immediately
Water with reticular smell or bad taste.
The unit has been used for more than 1 year.
Water output is much less than before.
Note:
The service life of the filter will be shorter than usual for the following reasons:
Water is turbid/contaminated.
Low water pressure.

Pull the filter cover to open it.
Press teh filter downwards and then gently take out the old filter.
Align the new filter center with the hole at bottom of the ionizer and push downwards.
When you hear the "click" sound, it means the new filter has been installed correctly. Align
the filter cover with the two holes on the back of the ionizer and then push to close the
cover.
Press the "FUN" bottom until it shows "cln", and then press the "SET" and "-" buttons. You
will hear beep-beep sound, which means you have reset the filter life.

9. PH Level Tests
To test PH value of ionized water
Add two drops of PH testing liquid into
an empty cup.
Turn on water ionizer, and let it run for
about 10 seconds.
Add only a small amount (about ¼ of a cup)
of ionized water into the same cup.
Compare the water colour with the PH level
colour chart and get the correct PH level of
the ionized water.
Same way to test the chlorine residue
density of ionized water.

Do not put tester liquid close to fire.
Do not drink tester liquid or ionized water with tester liquid.
Keep tester liquid bottles closed and out of reach of children.
Avoid contact with eyes, If this happens, rinse thoroughly with
water. Do not drink, in case this happens, drink lots of water and
also consult your physician.
After installation, check PH level.
PH level has to be checked regularly.

10. Troubleshooting
Trouble
Unit is plugged into the
wall but the lights are
not coming on.
It could be a fuse that is not
replaceable. You need to
return unit to HF for repair
(Please remove the filter).

11. Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is the white residue which may appear on cups on the kettles?
A1. The white residue is mostly calcium carbonate, the same harmless element found inside your
kettle. Calcium Carbonate is formed when ionized calcium interacts with oxygen. For this reason,
it is best to always drink freshly ionized water.
Q2. Why is my unit blinking.
A2. Every 12 hours, the water ionizer will start a self-cleaning process in order to clean the
electrodes. Before the process starts, one of the level indicator starts blinking to tell you the
ionizer is going to clean itself. Which level indicator will blink depends on the previous level
selected. (Refer to page 13 for more details).
Q3. What kind of water can be used as input water.
A3. Normal public water is good, as also any clean water supply.
Q4. Why are there small bubbles in freshly ionized water?
A4. The reason of small bubbles is because oxygen is introduced into the water during the
ionization process.
Q5. What is the white substance that sometimes appears on the surface of alkaline water?
A5. It contains calcium and magnesium. The ionized minerals are beneficial to our body. By
lowering the PH level, the white substance will disappear.
Q6. Can I drink alkaline water while on medication?
A6. It is not recommended to during alkaline water while on medication, since the alkaline water
can possible change the effect of the medicine. Therefore, drink "pure/filtered water". If you are
under doctor care, then please consult him/her for advice.
Q7. Can infants drink ionized water?
A7. Infants can drink "pure/filtered water", because they are already alkaline.
Q8. What does the acidic water do?
A8. Acidic water is only for external use. It kills bacteria, etc, sanitizes dishes, and clean cuts.
Q9. Why should i drink Heaven Fresh ionized water?
A9. It is healthy to drink ionized water, as long as the water ionized is properly maintained. In the

14. Warranty Information
The AK-900 is subjected to strict testing procedures before leaving the factory. If
within three years from the date of purchase the product does not perform according to
the specifications, because of factory defects, the purchaser is entitled to free repairs or
replacement of parts upon presentation of this warranty (provided that the malfunction
or damage to the device and/or parts occurred under normal operating conditions).
What is covered: All parts defective in material and workmanship.
For how long: Three years from purchase date.
What we will do: Repair or replace any defective parts.
Exclusions: Regular replacement parts such as filter cartridges.
90-Day Replacement Policy
If, due to manufacturer defect, any part requires repair during the first 90 days after
receiving your ionizer, Heaven Fresh will replace it with a new machine.
