Instruction Manual

Safety Precautions

Sprout® Plus is a personal mini-centrifuge designed for laboratories in the bioscience, medical, and chemistry elds. It may be involved with biohazardous and/or hazardous materials. This instruction manual cannot address all safety hazards. It is the responsibility of the user to consult and observe all health and safety precautions and to assess the instrument’s suitability to the task.

Caution!

Before starting Sprout® Plus for the rst time, please read this instruction manual carefully. This manual contains important information, safeguards, and operating instructions.

1. Never use this product in any manner inconsistent with these instructions.

2. This product is intended to be used indoors only.

3. This product is intended for separating aqueous solutions in approved test tubes compatible to the RCF of this unit.

4. This product is not intended to centrifuge very dense materials. Do not use materials with a density greater than 1.2g/cm3 (1.2g/mL).

5. Use only the power adapter delivered with the product. Use of other power adapters will void warranty.

6. Do not put hands in the rotor area unless the rotor is completely

stopped.

7. Only use the originally supplied rotors, AC adapters, tube adapters and any other spare parts delivered with the unit. These parts have been designed to safely meet the maximum RCF that the centrifuge is able to deliver. DO NOT USE ROTORS OR COMPONENTS FROM ANY OTHER MANUFACTURER.

8. Always make sure the Sprout® Plus rotors are securely seated.

9. Observe general laboratory safety precautions and regulations.

10. Do not attempt to operate with the cover removed or open.

11. The rotor and lid must always be securely fastened when in operation.

12. Do not use damaged rotors.

13. Do not move unit while the rotor is spinning.

14. Do not attempt to stop the rotor while the unit is running. Doing so may cause injury or the unit to fail and will void the warranty.

15. Do not immerse unit in water. Injury due to shock or re may result.

16. The rotor must be loaded symmetrically. Operating this unit with an unbalanced rotor will cause severe vibration and damage, which is not covered by warranty.

17. Do not ll tubes while inserted in rotor. Spilled liquid may harm unit.

18. Close tube lids before starting centrifuge. Open lids can be ripped off during centrifugation and damage the unit. Open lids cancause uid to be dispersedinside the centrifuge.

19. Do not insert non-standard tubes or other foreign articles into the rotor.

20. Follow all precautions from the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any reagent you use with this instrument.

21. Do not use solvent or ammable liquids near this or other electrical equipment.

22. Do not centrifuge materials that in combination or alone are ammable, explosive, or corrosive, or may cause any other hazard.

23. Do not operate in a hazardous or ammable environment.

24. Do not use any solvent on the unit that may attack plastic or rubber or cause cracks in the rotor.

25. Ensure the rotor is protected from corrosion and mechanical damage. The rotor must be cleaned with a pH-neutral cleaning liquid.

26. Before using any cleaning or decontamination methods except those recommended in this manual; please contact Heathrow Scientic

LLC to ensure that the proposed method will not damage the device.

27. If a single level of hazard protection is required, make sure to use containers that are tested to Risk Group II or above and that more than one level of protection is provided in the case of materials of a higher Risk Group.

28. Should the unit fail to work to specication, immediately stop centrifuging and allow the rotor to come to a complete stop. Clean and troubleshoot the product according to the instructions under “Trouble Shooting” before any further use of the product. Contact an authorized dealer or the manufacturer if trouble persists.

29. Always work in a manner which endangers neither the user nor any other person.

30. Repairs are to be performed by trained and authorized service personnel only. Contact Heathrow Scientic® LLC.

31. Opening the instrument housing or improper use of the instrument voids the warranty. If there is a failure during the warranty period, contact Heathrow Scientic® LLC for warranty service.

32. Do not use units that have not been correctly installed or repaired.

33. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify this product.

34. Store at room temperature in a dry area. Do not expose to sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods of time.

The laboratory procedure should ensure that no person or hazardous substances are present within a 12” (30 cm) zone around the centrifuge when operating.

If this product is not used as recommended by the manufacturer, the overall safety will be impaired.

Check MSDS, wear required Personal Protective Equipment, and observe all applicable local and national regulations before dispensing and disposing of hazardous materials.

Warning!

This product does not contain bio-seals as per IEC/EN/CSA 61010-2020 and cannot provide any level of containment in case of a spill or release of toxic, radioactive, or pathogenic micro-organisms. Thus these materials are not recommended to be used with this product.

Warning!

Spin balanced loads only! Do not place the tubes asymmetrically nor load unequal volume tubes. Improper placement of tubes will lead to insufcient centrifugation and may cause injury or accident.

Operation

1. Remove the contents from the package, examining them carefully for breakage, defects, or missing parts. Save the packaging.

2. Place Sprout

Plus on a sturdy, level surface at least 12” (30cm) away from the edge of the counter and other moving equipment. Make sure the power cord is clear of hot surfaces and other hazards.

3. Prior to every use, inspect unit for cracks, missing pieces, and or any damage that would result in an impaired performance and notify Heathrow Scientic BEFORE use.

4. Verify that the power switch is in the OFF position. Plug the power adapter cord into the rear of the unit and the power cord into an approved outlet. Make sure that the power cord connector can be readily grasped at the rear of the device so that it can be removed to easily disconnect It from the centrifuge.

Turn power switch ON. If there is a smooth whirring sound and the unit accelerates with little or no vibration, Sprout

Plus is ready to use. If there are loud or unusual sounds, or excessive vibration, DO NOT OPERATE. Contact Heathrow Scientic

5. On benchtop prepare samples tubes in rack so that tubes are lled to equal levels. Close tube lids.

6. To open lid, press down on front latch. The lid will open slightly. Grasp lid and tilt lid toward rear of unit.

7. Tubes of equal weight and size should be placed opposite each other. Use sample or water in tube to provide balance. Proper sample balancing illustrated below.

8. Do not force tubes into the rotor. Use adapters and correctly sized rotors for your application.

9. Close lid securely. A properly closed lid will grasp the front lid tab keeping the lid closed. If a clicking sound is heard while the unit is operating, the lid is not fully closed. Do not attempt to operate with the lid removed or open.

Turn power switch ON. Unit will not operate with lid open. If there is a smooth whirring sound and the unit accelerates with little or no vibration, Sprout® Plus is ready to use. If there are loud or unusual sounds, or excessive vibration, DO NOT OPERATE. Contact the Heathrow Scientic® LLC Technical Support.

10. To stop centrifugation, press power switch and wait until the rotor has completely stopped rotating before opening the lid.

Maintenance

Sprout® Plus is normally maintenance-free. Clean unit only when it is not plugged into an electrical outlet. When necessary, the housing and rotor can be wiped using a damp cloth and a mild, non-corrosive detergent.

Warning!

Do not use any solvent on the unit that may attack plastic or cause cracks in the rotors or the unit. Avoid exposure to UV radiation, either natural or man-made. In addition to cracks; discoloration, softening, or crazing of the plastic materials can occur. Corrosion can also occur to the metal parts which are part of the SnapSpinTM rotor feature. This damage can weaken them. Ensure the rotor is protected from corrosion and mechanical damage. The rotor must be cleaned with a neutral cleaning liquid.

—Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry prior to operation.

Rotor Replacement

To remove SnapSpin rotor:

-Press center button rmly and at the same time lift rotor upwards.

To install SnapSpin rotor:

-Set rotor onto the hex shaft. Press center button rmly and downward. Rotor should latch with a click sound.

Return for Repair

Important:

Transporting hazardous materials without a permit is a violation of federal law.

Heathrow Scientic® LLC will not accept any Sprout® Plus that is not appropriately cleaned and decontaminated.

In the unlikely event of repair, or when damage to the unit necessitates return, contact Heathrow Scientic® LLC and obtain return authorization before sending your Sprout® Plus for service.

Warranty

• ACCESSORY PARTS, SUCH AS RUBBER PARTS, THAT ARE DAMAGED BY LIQUIDS OR MISUSE.

IN NO EVENT WILL HEATHROW SCIENTIFIC® LLC’S OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY EXCEED THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.

Limited Warranty

Heathrow Scientic® LLC warrants that Sprout® Plus will be free from defects in workmanship and material for 3 years from the date of purchase.

If you believe that there is a defect in the product, you must, during the warranty period, notify Heathrow Scientic® LLC, provide proof of purchase, and return the product to Heathrow Scientic® LLC with a Return Authorization form. To obtain a Return Authorization form, please call 1-847-816-5070. If Heathrow Scientic® LLC is properly notied and, after inspection, conrms that there is a defect and the warranty period has not expired, Heathrow Scientic® LLC will repair, modify, or replace the product, at its sole option, at no charge.

OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, HEATHROW SCIENTIFIC® LLC MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE QUALITY OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED. Precaución

Antes de utilizar Sprout® Plus por primera vez, lea atentamente este manual de instrucciones. En este manual se incluye información importante, medidas de protección e instrucciones de operación.

1. Nunca utilice el producto de alguna manera incoherente con estas instrucciones.

2. Este producto solo está diseñado para su uso en espacios cerrados.

3. Este producto está diseñado para separar soluciones acuosas en los tubos de ensayo aprobados compatibles con la fuerza centrífuga relativa (RCF) de esta unidad.

4. Este producto no está diseñado para centrifugar materiales demasiado densos. No utilice materiales con una densidad mayor a 1,2 g/cm.

16. El rotor se debe cargar en forma simétrica. La operación de esta unidad con un rotor asimétrico provocará vibraciones y daños importantes, lo cual no está cubierto por la garantía.

17. No llene los tubos mientras están insertados en el rotor. Puede derramarse líquido y dañar la unidad.

18. Cierre los tubos con su respectiva tapa antes de comenzar a centrifugar. Si las tapas están abiertas, se pueden desprender durante la centrifugación y dañar la unidad. Las tapas abiertas pueden causar que se vuelque el líquido dentro de la centrifugadora.

19. No inserte tubos que no sean estándares ni artículos extraños en el rotor.

20. Respete todas las precauciones indicadas en la Hoja de datos de seguridad de materiales (MSDS) para cualquier reactivo que utilice con el instrumento.

21. No utilice solventes ni líquidos inamables cerca de este u otro equipo eléctrico.

22. No centrifugue materiales que, ya sea combinados o solos, resulten inamables, explosivos o corrosivos, o bien, que puedan causar cualquier otro daño.

23. No opere el producto en un entorno peligroso o inamable.

24. No utilice en la unidad ningún solvente que pueda dañar el plástico o la goma, o bien, que pueda causar rajaduras en el rotor.

25. Asegúrese de que el rotor esté protegido de la corrosión y del daño mecánico. El rotor se debe limpiar con un líquido de limpieza con pH neutro.

26. Antes de utilizar cualquier método de limpieza o descontaminación (excepto aquellos que se recomiendan en este manual), comuníquese con Heathrow Scientic

LLC para asegurarse de que el método elegido no

dañe el dispositivo.

27. Si se requiere un único nivel de protección, asegúrese de utilizar los recipientes probados para el grupo de riesgo II o superior, y asegúrese de que se proporcione más de un nivel de protección en el caso de los materiales de un grupo de riesgo superior.

28. En caso de que la unidad no funcione de acuerdo con las especicaciones, detenga inmediatamente la centrifugación y espere hasta que el rotor se detenga completamente. Limpie y solucione los problemas del producto de acuerdo con las instrucciones especicadas en “Solución de problemas” antes de volver a utilizar el producto. 29. El producto se debe utilizar de manera tal que nunca esté en peligro el usuario ni ninguna otra persona.

30. Solo el personal de servicio autorizado y capacitado puede realizar las reparaciones correspondientes. Comuníquese con Heathrow Scientic

LLC.

31. La apertura de la carcasa del instrumento o su uso incorrecto anulan la garantía. Si se produce una falla durante el período de garantía, comuníquese con Heathrow Scientic

LLC para recibir el servicio

correspondiente a la garantía.

32. No utilice unidades que no se hayan instalado o reparado correctamente.

33. No intente desarmar ni modicar el producto.

34. Consérvelo en un lugar seco, a temperatura ambiente. No lo exponga a la luz solar, la humedad o temperaturas extremas durante períodos prolongados.

Responsabilidades de eliminación

Solo se deben hacer girar las cargas equilibradas. No coloque los tubos en forma asimétrica ni cargue tubos con volúmenes desiguales. La colocación incorrecta de los tubos provocará que la centrifugación no sea suﬁciente y puede causar lesiones o accidentes.

1. Retire el contenido del paquete, examínelo detenidamente para detectar

roturas, defectos o partes que faltan. Guarde el embalaje.

2. Coloque el dispositivo Sprout

Plus sobre una supercie lisa y resistente, lejos del borde y de otros equipos que se mueven. Asegúrese de que el cable de alimentación esté alejado de supercies calientes y de otros peligros.

3. Verique que el interruptor de alimentación se encuentre en la posición APAGADO. Enchufe el cable del adaptador de alimentación en la parte trasera de la unidad y conecte el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente aprobado.

4. Coloque el interruptor de alimentación en la posición ENCENDIDO. Si se escucha un zumbido suave y la unidad se acelera con poca o ninguna vibración, Sprout

Plus está listo para su uso. Si se escuchan sonidos fuertes o poco comunes, o bien, demasiadas vibraciones, NO LO UTILICE. Comuníquese con el soporte técnico de Heathrow Scientic® LLC.

5. En la mesa de trabajo, coloque los tubos de las muestras en el soporte para llenarlos a todos al mismo nivel. Cierre las tapas de los tubos.

6. Para abrir la tapa, presione hacia abajo el pestillo frontal. La tapa se abrirá levemente. Agarre la tapa e incline la tapa hacia la parte posterior de la unidad.

Advertencia

El procedimiento de laboratorio debe garantizar que no hay ninguna persona ni sustancias peligrosas en un radio de 12 pulgadas (30 cm) alrededor de la centrifugadora cuando está en funcionamiento.

7. Los tubos de igual peso y tamaño se deben colocar enfrentados entre sí. Coloque agua o la muestra en el tubo para lograr el equilibro necesario. A continuación, se muestra el equilibro correcto de las muestras.

8. No fuerce los tubos dentro del rotor. Utilice adaptadores y rotores del tamaño correcto para su aplicación.

9. Cierre bien la tapa. La pestaña de silicona de una tapa cerrada correctamente evitará que se abra. Si se escucha un clic mientras la unidad se encuentra en funcionamiento, la tapa no está completamente cerrada. No intente operar el producto sin la tapa o con la tapa levantada.

Reemplazo del rotor:

Para quitar el rotor SnapSpin: 'Presione ﬁrmemente el botón del centro y, al mismo tiempo, levante el rotor hacia arriba.

Para instalar el rotor SnapSpin:

Mantenimiento

Por lo general, Sprout® Plus no necesita mantenimiento. Limpie la unidad solo cuando no esté conectada a un tomacorriente. Cuando sea necesario, se pueden limpiar la carcasa y el rotor con un paño húmedo y un detergente suave no corrosivo.

Advertencia

5. Utiliser uniquement le bloc d'alimentation électrique fournit avec le produit. L'utilisation d'autres blocs d’alimentation annulerait la garantie.

6. Ne pas mettre les mains dans la zone du rotor à moins que celui ne soit complètement arrêté.

7. Utiliser uniquement les rotors, blocs d’alimentation CA, adaptateurs de tubes et toutes les autres pièces détachées d'origine fournies avec le produit. 10. Ne pas essayer de faire fonctionner l'appareil avec le couvercle ouvert ou retiré.

11. Le rotor et le couvercle doivent toujours être solidement xés lorsque l'appareil fonctionne.

12. Ne pas utiliser de rotors endommagés.

13. Ne pas déplacer l'appareil lorsque le rotor tourne.

14. Ne pas essayer d'arrêter le rotor lorsque l'appareil fonctionne. Cela pourrait entraîner des blessures ou un dysfonctionnement de l'appareil, conduisant à l'annulation de la garantie.

Fonctionnement

1. Retirer les éléments de l'emballage, en les examinant soigneusement pour

toute présence d’articles cassés, de défauts, ou de pièces manquantes. Conserver l'emballage.

2. Placer la centrifugeuse Sprout

Plus sur une surface stable et nivelée, et éloignéa du bord du comptoir et de tout autre équipement mobile. S’assurer que le cordon d'alimentation électrique est éloigné des surfaces chaudes et de tout autre danger.

Avertissement

Rotation de charges équilibrées uniquement. Ne pas placer les tubes de manière asymétrique, et ne pas charger les tubes de volume inégaux. Le placement inapproprié des tubes pourrait conduire à une centrifugation insufﬁsante et pourrait provoquer des dommages ou accident.

3. Vérier que l'interrupteur d’alimentation électrique est en position ARRÊT / OFF Brancher le cordon électrique du bloc d’alimentation à l'arrière de l'appareil et le cordon d'alimentation électrique dans une prise approuvée.

4. Appuyer sur l'interrupteur en position MARCHE / ON. Si l'appareil émet un léger bourdonnement et accélère avec peu ou pas de vibration, la centrifugeuse Sprout

Plus est prête à être utilisée. Si l’appareil émet des bruits forts ou inhabituels, ou a des vibrations excessives, NE PAS L'UTILISER. Contacter le service d'assistance technique de Heathrow Scientic® LLC.

5. Préparer, sur la paillasse, les tubes témoins en alignement, de sorte qu'ils soient remplis de mêmes niveaux. Fermer les couvercles des tubes.

6. Pour ouvrir le couvercle, appuyez sur le loquet avant. Le couvercle s'ouvrira légèrement. Saisissez le couvercle et inclinez le couvercle vers l'arrière de l'appareil.

7. Des tubes de poids et de taille égaux devraient être placés en face à face. Utiliser un échantillon ou un tube contenant de l'eau pour équilibrer. L'équilibrage approprié par un échantillon est illustré ci-dessous.

8. Ne pas forcer les tubes dans le rotor. Utiliser les adaptateurs de tubes et les rotors de taille appropriée à votre application.

9. Solidement fermer le couvercle. Un couvercle correctement fermé bloquera la languette avant en silicone, maintenant le couvercle en position fermée. Si un cliquetis est entendu lorsque l'appareil fonctionne, le couvercle n'est pas complètement fermé. Ne pas essayer de faire fonctionner l'appareil lorsque le couvercle est retiré ou ouvert.

10. Pour arrêter la centrifugation, appuyer sur interrupteur d'alimentation électrique et attendre que le rotor se soit complètement arrêté, pour ouvrir le couvercle.

Entretien

La centrifugeuse Sprout® Plus ne nécessite normalement aucun entretien. Nettoyer l'appareil uniquement lorsqu'il n'est pas branché à une prise électrique. Si nécessaire, le boîtier et le rotor peuvent être essuyés en utilisant un tissu humide et un détergent doux et non-corrosif.

Attention

Ne pas utiliser de dissolvant sur l'appareil qui pourrait endommager le plastique ou causer des ﬁssures dans le rotor. S’assurer que le rotor est protégé contre la corrosion et les dommages mécaniques. Le rotor doit être nettoyé avec un liquide neutre de nettoyage.

Remarques

S’assurer que toutes les pièces sont complètement sèches avant toute utilisation.

Attention

Ne pas ouvrir le couvercle jusqu’à ce que le rotor se soit complètement arrêté. Faire preuve de vigilance avec les parties mobiles de l’appareil, pour éviter tout risque de blessures graves ou de dommages matériels.

Remplacement du rotor

Pour retirer le rotor SnapSpin :

- Appuyer fermement sur le bouton

central et, en même temps, soulever le rotor vers le haut.

Pour installer le rotor SnapSpin :

- Placer le rotor sur l'axe héxagonal.

Appuyer fermement sur le bouton central et vers le bas. Le rotor devrait s'emboîter avec un clic audible.

Ne pas utiliser de rotors endommagés ou fendus.

Important :

Le transport de matériaux dangereux sans autorisation est une violation de la loi fédérale.

Heathrow Scientiﬁc® LLC n'acceptera aucune centrifugeuse Sprout® Plus qui n'est pas convenablement nettoyée et décontaminée.

Sicherheitsvorkehrungen

Sprout® Plus ist eine für biowissenschaftliche, medizinische und chemische Laboratorien entworfene persönliche Mini-Zentrifuge. Sie kann mit dem biologisch gefährlichen und/oder gefährlichen Material in Kontakt treten. In dieser Bedienungsanleitung sind nicht alle Sicherheitsrisiken angesprochen worden. Der Benutzer ist verantwortlich, alle Sicherheits- und Gesundheitssvorkehrungen einzuhalten und zu beachten und die InstrumentKonformität zur Aufgabeerfüllung zu bewerten.

Vorsicht!

Bevor man mit Sprout® Plus zum ersten Mal beginnt, lesen Sie bitte diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch. Dieses Handbuch enthält die wichtige Information, gesetzliche Garantien und die Bedienungsanleitungen.

1. Dieses Produkt ist in keiner Weise inkonsistent zu diesen Anweisungen jeweils zu verwenden.

2. Dieses Produkt soll nur in Innenräumen verwendet werden.

3. Dieses Produkt wird zur Trennung von wässrigen Lösungen in zugelassenen Reagenzgläsern kompatibel zu der G-Zahl dieses Geräts bestimmt.

4. Dieses Produkt ist zur Abzentrifugierung von sehr dichten Materialien nicht bestimmt. Die Materialien mit einer Dichte von mehr als 1.2g/cm dürfen nicht benutzt werden.

5. Nur ein mit dem Produkt geliefertes Netzteil muss benutzt werden. Der Einsatz von den fremden Netzteilen macht die Garantie ungültig.

6. Innerhalb der Rotorzone darf man mit den Händen nicht zu fuchteln, bis der Rotor komplett gestoppt wird.

7. Nur die ursprünglich gelieferten Rotoren, AC-Adapter, ReagenzgefäßAdapter und alle anderen mit dem Gerät gelieferten Ersatzteile sind zu verwenden. Diese Teile wurden entwickelt, um die maximale von der Zentrifuge gelieferte G-Zahl sicher zu erreichen. KEINE ROTOREN ODER KOMPONENTEN VON JEDEM ANDEREN HERSTELLER DÜRFEN VERWENDET WERDEN.

8. Achten Sie immer auf den festen Sitz von den Sprout

Plus -Rotoren.

9. Allgemeine Laborsicherheitsmaßnahmen und Vorschriften sind zu beachten.

10. Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät ohne die abgenommene oder mit einer geöffneten Abdeckung zu betreiben.

11. Während des Betriebs müssen der Rotor und der Deckel immer fest geschlossen sein.

12. Keine beschädigten Rotoren sind zu verwenden.

13. Das Gerät darf nicht bewegt werden, bis der drehende Rotor stoppt.

14. Versuchen Sie nicht, den Rotor zu stoppen, während das Gerät im Betrieb ist. Dies kann zu Verletzungen oder zur Beschädigung des Geräts führen und die Garantie zunichtemachen.

15. Das Gerät darf ins Wasser nicht eingetaucht werden. Das kann zu einer Verletzung durch Schlag oder Brand führen.

16. Der Rotor muss symmetrisch belastet werden. Die Bedienung des Geräts mit einem unausgeglichenen Rotor verursacht starke Vibration und Schäden, die von der Garantie nicht abgedeckt wird.

17. Reagenzgefäße sollen nicht eingefüllt werden, während sie am Rotor eingesetzt sind. Verschüttete Flüssigkeiten können das Gerät beschädigen.

18. Vor dem Start der Zentrifuge muss man sich vergewissern, dass die Reagenzgefäße abgedeckt sind. Offene Deckel können bei der Zentrifugation abgerissen werden und das Gerät beschädigen. Offene Deckel können zu Flüssigkeitsdispersion in der Zentrifuge führen.

19. Nichtstandardmäßige Reagenzgefäße oder fremdes Zubehör darf am Rotor nicht eingesetzt werden.

20. Die sämtlichen von dem Sicherheitsdatenblatt bestimmten Sicherheitsvorkehrungen für jedes mit diesem Gerät benutzte Reagenz sind zu beachten.

21. Weder Lösungsmittel noch brennbare Flüssigkeiten in der Nähe dieses oder eines anderen elektrischen Gerätes sind einzusetzen.

22. Man darf keine Materialien verwenden, die in Kombination oder alleine brennbar, explosiv oder ätzend sind, oder eine sonstige Gefährdung verursachen können.

23. Es ist kein Betrieb in einem explosionsgefährdeten Räumen gestattet.

24. Kein Lösungsmittel ist am Gerät einzusetzen, das das Kunststoff oder die Gummi korrodieren oder zu Rissen am Rotor führen kann.

25. Es ist sicherzustellen, dass der Rotor gegen Korrosion und mechanische Beschädigung geschützt ist. Der Rotor muss mit einer pH-neutralen Reinigungsüssigkeit gereinigt werden.

26. Vor der Verwendung eines Reinigungs-oder Dekontaminationsverfahrens mit Ausnahme der in diesem erwähnten Handbuch Methoden muss man mit Heathrow Scientic

LLC in Verbindung zu setzen, um sicherzustellen,

dass die vorgeschlagene Methode das Gerät nicht beschädigt.

27. Wenn eine einzelne Gefahrenschutzstufe erforderlich ist, stellen Sie sicher, dass die Behälter eingesetzt werden, die für eine Risikogruppe II oder höher getestet werden, und dass mehr als eine Schutzstufe für den Fall von Materialien mit einer höheren Risikogruppe bereitgestellt wird.

28. Falls das Gerät nicht in Übereinstimmung mit der Spezikation arbeitet, muss das Zentrifugieren sofort gestoppt werden und damit den Rotor zum vollständigen Stillstand kommen lassen. Das Produkt muss gereinigt und sein Fehler gemäß den Anweisungen unter "Störungsbeseitigung" vor der weiteren Nutzung des Produktes beseitigt werden. Kontaktieren Sie einen Vertragshändler oder den Hersteller, falls das Problem weiterhin bleibt.

29. Die Arbeit muss so ausgeführt werden, dass weder der Benutzer noch eine andere Personen gefährdet wird.

30. Reparaturen müssen nur von ausgebildeten und autorisierten ServicePersonal durchgeführt werden. Heathrow Scientic

31. Öffnen des Gerätegehäuses oder eine unsachgemäße Verwendung des Gerätes erlischt die Garantie. Wenn es einen Fehler während der Garantiezeit gibt, ist Heathrow Scientic

32. Verwenden Sie keine Geräte, die nicht korrekt installiert oder repariert worden sind.

33. Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät zu zerlegen oder zu modizieren.

34. Es ist bei Raumtemperatur in einem trockenen Raum aufzubewahren. Es soll keiner Sonneneinstrahlung, Feuchtigkeit oder extremen Temperaturen für längere Zeit ausgesetzt werden.

Achtung!

Das Laborverfahren soll sicherstellen, dass keine Person oder gefährliche Stoffe in einer 12-Zoll- (30 cm)- Zone um die Zentrifuge herum beim Betrieb vorhanden sind.

Falls dieses Gerät nicht nach den Hersteller-Empfehlungen verwendet wird, wird die Gesamtsicherheit beeinträchtigt.

Die Sicherheitsdatenblätter müssen geprüft, erforderliche persönliche Schutzausrüstung getragen, und alle anwendbaren lokalen und nationalen Vorschriften vor der Abgabe und Entsorgung von Gefahrengütern eingehalten werden.

Bedienung

1. Der Inhalt wird aus der Verpackung ausgenommen, und sorgfältig auf Bruch,

Defekte oder fehlende Teile geprüft. Die Verpackung wird aufbewahrt.

2. Sprout

Plus wird auf eine stabile, ebene Oberäche weit vom Arbeitsplattenrand und andere bewegliche Ausrüstung aufgestellt. Es wird darauf geachtet, dass das Netzkabel die heiße Oberäche und andere Gefahren vermeidet.

Achtung!

Nur ausgewogene Lasten werden gedreht! Weder die Reagenzgefäße asymmetrisch aufgestellt noch ungleiche Volumen in Reagenzgefäßen belastet werden. Unsachgemäße Aufstellung von den Reagenzgefäßen führt zu unzureichender Zentrifugation und kann eine Verletzung oder einen Unfall verursachen.

3. Es wird sichergestellt, dass der Netzschalter in der Position AUS ist. Das Netzadapterkabel wird an die Rückseite des Geräts und das Netzkabel in eine genehmigte Steckdose eingesteckt.

4. Der Netzschalter wird in die Position EIN geschlossen. Wenn es das gleichmäßige Surren gibt und das Gerät mit wenig oder ohne Vibration beschleunigt wird, ist Sprout

Plus einsatzbereit. Wenn es einen lauten oder ungewöhnlichen Lärm oder eine starke Vibration gibt, DARF DAS GERÄT NICHT BEDIENT WERDEN. Heathrow Scientic® LLC Technischen Support ist zu kontaktieren.

5. Am Arbeitstisch werden die Probeentnahme-Reagenzgefäße am Halter vorbereitet, damit die Reagenzgefäße mit demselben Spiegel ausgefüllt werden. Gefäßdeckel werden geschlossen.

6. Drücken Sie zum Öffnen des Deckels auf die vordere Verriegelung. Der Deckel wird sich leicht öffnen. Greifen Sie den Deckel und kippen Sie den Deckel nach hinten.

Achtung!

Das Laborverfahren soll sicherstellen, dass keine Person oder gefährliche Stoffe in einer 12-Zoll- (30 cm)- Zone um die Zentrifuge herum beim Betrieb vorhanden sind.

7. Reagenzgefäße von gleichem Gewicht und Größe sollten sich gegenüber aufgestellt werden. Die Probe oder Wasser im Reagenzgefäß zur Gleichgewicht-Einhaltung wird benutzt. Der sachgemäße Probenausgleich wird unten dargestellt

8. Reagenzgefäße sollen am Rotor nicht mit Gewalt eingesetzt werden. Der Adapter und die Rotoren von der richtigen Größe für Ihre Anwendung sind einzusetzen.

9. Der Gefäßdeckel wird sicher geschlossen. Ein richtig geschlossener Deckel greift die vordere Siliconlasche and hält den Deckel geschlossen. Falls während des Betriebs des Gerätes ein Klicken gehört wird, heißt es dass der Deckel nicht vollständig geschlossen ist. Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät ohne die abgenommene oder mit einer geöffneten Abdeckung zu betreiben.

10. Der Netzschalter wird in die Position EIN eingeschaltet. Das Gerät wird mit einem geöffneten Deckel nicht funktionieren. Wenn es das gleichmäßige Surren gibt und das Gerät mit wenig oder ohne Vibration beschleunigt wird, ist Sprout

Achtung!

Deckel nicht öffnen, bis der Rotor zum Stillstand gekommen ist! Schwere Verletzungen oder Sachschäden durch bewegliche Teile sind zu vermeiden.

Rotorauswechselung

Um den SnapSpin-Rotor zu entfernen:

- Nachdrücklich auf die zentrale Taste

drücken und gleichzeitig den Rotor nach oben ausziehen.

Um den SnapSpin-Rotor zu einzubauen:

- Den Rotor auf die

Sechskantwelle setzen. Die zentrale Taste nachdrücklich nach unten drücken. Der Rotor sollte mit einem Klick-Sound einrasten.

Achtung!

Keine beschädigten oder rissigen Rotoren sind zu verwenden!

Wartung

Sprout® Plus ist normalerweise wartungsfrei. Das Gerät darf gereinigt werden nur wenn es nicht zu einer Steckdose angeschlossen ist. Falls notwendig, kann das Gehäuse und der Rotor mit einem feuchten Tuch und einem milden, nichtkorrodierenden Reinigungsmittel abgewischt werden.

Achtung!

Kein Lösungsmittel ist am Gerät einzusetzen, das das Kunststoff korrodieren oder zu Rissen am Rotor führen kann. Es ist sicherzustellen, dass der Rotor gegen Korrosion und mechanische Beschädigung geschützt ist. Der Rotor muss mit einer neutralen Reinigungsﬂüssigkeit gereinigt werden.

Rückgabe für Reparatur

Wichtig:

Der Transport von gefährlichem Material ohne Genehmigung ist eine Verletzung von Bundesrecht.

Heathrow Scientiﬁc® LLC wird keine Sprout® Plus annehmen, die nicht entsprechend gereinigt und dekontaminiert worden sind.

In dem kaum wahrscheinlichen Fall einer Reparatur oder wenn es eine Rückgabe wegen einer Beschädigung des Geräts erforderlich ist, wird Heathrow Scientiﬁc® LLC kontaktiert, um eine Genehmigung zur Rückgabe zu erhalten, bevor die Sprout® Plus für Service geschickt wird.
