Caution! Read entire manual and become familiar with the operation of this device before using it. If you have any questions, contact Heathrow Scientific LLC.

Your mini-centrifuge is designed for laboratories in the bioscience, medical and chemistry fields. This instruction manual cannot address all safety hazards. It does not have BIOSEALs and is not intended for use with radioactive materials. It is the responsibility of the user to consult and observe all health and safety precautions and to assess the instrument’s suitability to the task.

CAUTION

Before starting the mini-centrifuge for the first time, please read this instruction manual carefully. This manual contains important information, safeguards, and operating instructions.

1. Never use this product in any manner inconsistent with these instructions.

2. This product is intended to be used indoors only.

3. This product is intended for separating aqueous solutions in approved test tubes compatible

to the RCF of this unit.

4. The product is not intended to centrifuge very dense materials. Do not use materials with a

density greater than 1.2 g/cm³ (1.2 g/mL).

5. Only use rotors supplied by Heathrow Scientiﬁc speciﬁcally made for this product. These

rotors are rated for the maximum speed of the product, 12 500 rpm

6. Observe general laboratory safety precautions and regulations when using this product.

7. Do not attempt to operate with the cover removed or open.

8. The rotor and lid must always be securely fastened when in operation.

9. Always seat the rotor completely onto the shaft, then tighten the rotor nut.

10. Do not use damaged rotors.

11. Do not put hands onto the rotor unless the rotor is completely stopped.

12. Do not move unit while the rotor is spinning.

13. Do not immerse the product in water. Injury due to shock or ﬁre may result.

14. The rotor must be loaded symmetrically. Operating this unit with an unbalanced rotor will

cause severe vibration and damage, which is not covered by warranty.

15. Do not ﬁll tubes while inserted in rotor. Spilled liquid may harm unit.

16. Close tube lids before starting centrifuge. Open lids can be torn off

during centrifugation and damage the unit. Open lids can cause ﬂuid to be dispersed inside the centrifuge.

17. Do not insert non-standard tubes or other foreign articles into the rotor.

18. Follow all precautions from the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any reagent you use

with this instrument.

19. Do not use solvent or ﬂammable liquids near this or other electrical

equipment.

20. Do not centrifuge materials that in combination or alone are

ﬂammable, explosive, corrosive or may cause any other hazard.

21. Do not operate in a hazardous or ﬂammable environment.

22. Do not use any solvent on the unit that may attack plastic or cause cracks in the rotor.

23. Ensure the rotor is protected from corrosion and mechanical damage. The rotor must be cleaned with a pH-neutral cleaning liquid.

24. Always work in a manner which endangers neither the user nor any other person.

25. Should the instrument fail to work to speciﬁcation, immediately stop centrifuging. Clean and troubleshoot the instrument according to the instructions under “Trouble Shooting” before any further use of the instrument. Contact an authorized dealer or the manufacturer if trouble persists.

26. Do not attempt to stop the rotor while unit is running. Doing so may cause the unit to fail and will void the warranty.

27. Only use original manufacturer’s rotors, AC adapters, tube adapters and any other spare parts.

28. Repairs are to be performed by trained and authorized service personnel only. Contact Heathrow Scientiﬁc service.

29. Opening the instrument housing or improper use of the instrument voids the warranty. If there is a failure during the warranty period, contact Heathrow Scientiﬁc service for warranty service.

30. Do not attempt to use units that have not been correctly installed or repaired.

31. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify this product.

32. Store at room temperature in a dry area. Do not expose to sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods of time.

33. Caution: Exposure to certain chemicals can damage product causing corrosion, crazing, and cracking of housing and components.

34. Before using any cleaning or decontamination methods except those recommended in this manual, please contact Heathrow Scientiﬁc to ensure that the proposed method will not damage the equipment.

35. If a single level of hazard protection is required, make sure to use containers that are tested to Risk Group II or above and that more than one level of protection is provided in the case of materials of a higher Risk Group.

Check MSDS, wear required Personal Protective Equipment, and observe all applicable local and national regulations before dispensing and disposing of hazardous sample.

WARNING

The laboratory procedure should ensure that no person or hazardous substances are present within a 12” (30 cm) zone around the centrifuge when operating.

WARNING

This product does not contain bio-seals as per IEC/EN/CSA 61010-2-20 and cannot provide any level of containment in case of a spill or release of toxic, radioactive, or pathogenic micro-organisms thus these materials are not recommended to be used in

this product.

• Remove the contents from the package examining them carefully for breakage, defects or missing parts.

Place the product on a sturdy

• counter and other moving equipment. Make sure the AC power adapter and cords are clear of hot surfaces and other hazards.

• Make sure the product has ventilation and is not encased in any material that will limit airflow. An overheating situation could occur.

•Verify that the power switch in the back of the unit is in the OFF position. Plug the DC cord into the rear of the unit and the AC cord into an approved outlet.

• ONLY use Heathrow Scientific supplied power adapter and cords.

Prior to using

• Before every use, inspect unit for cracks, missing pieces, and or any damage that would result in an impaired performance and notify manufacturer BEFORE use.

General Operation

1. Turn power switch on the back of the unit ON. The unit will initialize.

3. On benchtop, prepare samples tubes in a rack so that tubes are ﬁlled to equal levels. Close tube lids.

4. Install tubes in the rotor in a balanced manner (see section - Balancing the Rotor).

5. Set the appropriate time by pressing the TIME UP/DOWN button.

6. Set the appropriate rpm by pressing the SPEED UP/DOWN button.

7. Place the standard rotor cover on the rotor to limit noise and aspiration of liquids that may escape from tubes.

8. Close Lid and press down until locked (Display status should read “READY”).

9. Press START/STOP (rotor should spin up to the user set speed).

10. At a determined time the rotor will spin down and stop at the preset time.

11. The unit will then emit a beep when the cycle is complete.

12. To open lid, press the OPEN button.

Quick Spin Operation

1. Prepare the unit for centrifugation as in the General Operation (section above Steps 1-8).

2. Press and HOLD QUICK SPIN button (rotor should spin up to the set speed).

3. The timer will begin counting.

4. Once enough time has elapsed for your needs, release the QUICK SPIN button. The rotor will spin down, stop and the unit will emit a beep when the cycle is complete.

5. To open lid, press the OPEN button.

Spin balanced loads only! Do not place the tubes asymmetrically nor load unequal volume tubes. Improper placement of tubes will lead to insufficient centrifugation and may cause serious injury or an accident.

WARNING

Do not attempt to open lid until rotor has completely stopped! Avoid severe personal injury or property damage from moving parts. Only use rotor compatible with the centrifuge.

Rotor installation and removal

To remove rotor:

•

With one hand, clockwise until it disengages from the motor shaft.

• Pull up on the center knob firmly. The rotor should easily lift off of the motor drive.

To install the rotor:

• Check to make sure the bands on the rotor are in the slots. Set rotor onto the motor drive and push down until seated.

•

With one hand, grasp the rotor. With the other hand, screw the center knob clockwise until it engages the motor shaft. Keep turning the knob until it tightens.

Maintenance

Your mini-centrifuge is maintenance-free. Clean unit only when it is not plugged into an electrical outlet. When necessary, the housing and rotor can be wiped using a damp cloth and a mild, non-corrosive detergent.

WARNING

Do not use any solvent on the unit that may attack plastic or cause cracks in the rotor. Ensure the rotor is protected from corrosion and mechanical damage. The rotor must be cleaned with a neutral cleaning liquid.

If hazardous sample is spilled on the unit and or leaked into the unit, do not run the centrifuge unless it is safe to do so.

Dissassembly of Rotors for Cleaning

1. Remove rotor from unit

2. Remove screws from the bottom of the rotor

3. Clean as needed

4. Reassemble rotor, making sure that the alignment tab is engaged into the slot.

5. Test run reassembled empty rotor to ensure it is still balanced

NOTICE

Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried prior to operation.

Hazardous Chemicals:

1. Cleaning and decontamination may be necessary as a safeguard before laboratory centrifuges, rotors, and any accessories are maintained, repaired, or transferred. The user must follow any and all instructions provided in the manual pertaining to this process.

2. In the event hazardous material is spilt, the user is responsible for carrying out the appropriate decontamination procedure.

3. Before using any cleaning or decontamination methods except those recommended by the manufacturer, users should check with the manufacturer that the proposed methods will not damage the equipment.

Transporting hazardous materials without a permit is a violation of federal law.

Heathrow Scientific will not accept any product return that is not appropriately cleaned and decontaminated. In the unlikely event of repair, or when damage to the unit necessitates return, contact Heathrow Scientific, obtain return authorization, and complete a Heathrow decontamination form BEFORE sending your product for service.

IN NO EVENT WILL HEATHROW SCIENTIFIC® LLC'S OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY EXCEED THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.

Warranty

Heathrow Scientific warrants that your mini-centrifuge will be free from defects in workmanship and material for 5 years from the date of purchase.

If you believe that there is a defect in the product, you must, during the warranty period, notify Heathrow Scientific, provide proof of purchase, and return the product to Heathrow Scientific with a Return Authorization form. If Heathrow Scientific is properly notified and, after inspection, confirms that there is a defect and the warranty period has not expired, Heathrow Scientific will repair, modify, or replace the product, at its sole option, at no charge.

OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, HEATHROW SCIENTIFIC MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE QUALITY OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED. 14. La rotor doit être chargée en symétrie. Faire fonctionner l’appareil avec une rotor en

déséquilibre générera de la vibration et des dommages graves, non couverts par la garantie.

15. Ne remplissez pas les éprouvettes mises dans la rotor. Un déversement de liquide risque

d’abîmer l’appareil.

16. Fermez les bouchons d’éprouvette avant de démarrer la centrifugeuse. Les bouchons non

fermés risquent d’être arrachés au cours de la centrifugation et d’endommager l’appareil. Les éprouvettes débouchées risquent de déverser leur contenu dans l’intérieur de la centrifugeuse.

17. N’insérez pas d’éprouvettes non standard ou d’autres objets étrangers dans la rotor.

18. Prenez toutes les précautions de la ﬁche signalétique de sécurité de produit (FSSP) à l’égard

de tout réactif utilisé avec l’instrument.

19. N’employez pas de solvant ou de liquides inﬂammables près de cet appareil électrique ou de

tout autre appareil électrique.

20. Ne centrifugez pas de substances qui sous forme simple ou combinée sont inﬂammables,

explosives, corrosive ou susceptibles de causer tout autre danger.

21. Ne faites pas fonctionner l’appareil dans un milieu dangereux ou inﬂammable.

22. N’appliquez aucun solvant sur l’appareil, qui risque d’abîmer le plastique ou de ﬁssurer la

rotor.

23. Assurez-vous que la rotor est protégée contre la corrosion et les dommages mécaniques. La

rotor doit être lavée avec un liquide nettoyant au pH neutre.

24. Travaillez toujours de façon à ne pas exposer l’utilisateur ni toute autre personne à un danger.

• Retirez le contenu de l’emballage et vérifiez soigneusement qu’il n’y a pas de signes de

bris, de défauts ou de pièces manquantes. Placez l’appareil sur une surface solide,

Consignes générales d’utilisation

1. Mettez l’interrupteur à l’arrière de l’appareil en position MARCHE. L'appareil se prépare

peu. Soulevez doucement l’avant du couvercle et mettez-le en position verticale à 90 degrés.

3. Sur la table de laboratoire, préparez des éprouvettes d’échantillon dans le panier de

manière à les remplir uniformément. Fermez les bouchons d’éprouvette.

4. Insérez les éprouvettes dans la rotor en veillant à les arranger de manière équilibrée (voir la

section « Équilibrer la rotor »).

5. Conﬁgurez la durée appropriée en appuyant sur le bouton Augmenter/Diminuer la durée.

6. Conﬁgurez le nombre de tours par minute en appuyant sur le bouton Accélérer/Ralentir.

7. Recouvrez la rotor avec le couvercle standard pour limiter le bruit et empêcher l’aspiration

du liquide qui pourrait s’échapper des éprouvettes.

8. Fermez le couvercle en appuyant dessus jusqu'à ce qu'il s'encliquette (l’écran d’état devrait afﬁcher le message « Prêt »).

9. Appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt (la rotor devrait commencer à tourner et atteindre la vitesse préréglée).

10. Une fois la durée réglée atteinte, la rotor ralentit et s’arrête.

11. L’appareil émet alors un bip pour signaler que le cycle est terminé.

12. Pour ouvrir le couvercle, appuyez sur le bouton OUVRIR.

Fonctionnement à rotation rapide

1. Préparez l’appareil pour la centrifugation en suivant les consignes générales d’utilisation (voir la section ci-dessus, étapes 1 à 8).

2. Appuyez sur le bouton Rotation rapide et maintenez-le enfoncé (la rotor devrait commencer à tourner et atteindre la vitesse préréglée).

3. La minuterie commence le décompte.

4. Une fois que sufﬁsamment de temps s’est écoulé pour vos besoins, relâchez le bouton Rotation rapide. La rotor commence à ralentir pour s’arrêter. L’appareil émet un bip lorsque le cycle est terminé.

5. Pour ouvrir le couvercle, appuyez sur le bouton OUVRIR.

Ne faites tourner que des charges équilibrées! Il ne faut ni placer les éprouvettes en asymétrie ni charger d’éprouvettes aux volumes inégaux. Une disposition incorrecte des éprouvettes entraîne une centrifugation insuffisante, ce qui risque de provoquer des

AVERTISSEMENT

N’essayez pas d’ouvrir le couvercle avant l’arrêt complet de la rotor! Évitez les blessures corporelles ou les dommages aux biens graves provoqués par des pièces mobiles. N’utilisez que des rotors compatibles avec la centrifugeuse.

Installation et retrait de la Rotor

Pour retirer la rotor:

•

Saisissez la rotor avec une main. tournant dans le sens antihoraire jusqu’à ce qu’il se détache de l’axe du moteur.

• Tirez le bouton central fermement vers le haut. La rotor doit se dégager facilement de l’entraînement du moteur.

Pour installer la rotor:

• Vérifiez que les bandes sur la rotor sont bien insérées dans les fentes.

•

Posez la rotor sur l’entraînement du moteur et poussez dessus jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit bien logée.

Saisissez la rotor avec une main. Avec l’autre main, vissez le bouton central en le tournant

• dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’il s’imbrique sur l’axe du moteur. Continuez à tourner le bouton jusqu’à ce qu’il soit bien serré.

•Veillez à ne pas serrer le bouton à bloc.

N’utilisez pas de rotors endommagées ou fissurées!

Entretien

Votre mini-centrifugeuse ne nécessite normalement aucun entretien. Nettoyez la centrifugeuse seulement lorsqu’elle n’est pas branchée sur une prise électrique. Au besoin, l’enveloppe et la rotor peuvent être essuyées avec un chiffon humide et un détergent doux, non corrosif.

AVERTISSEMENT

N’appliquez aucun solvant sur l’appareil, qui risque d’abîmer le plastique ou de fissurer la rotor. Assurez-vous que la rotor est protégée contre la corrosion et les dommages mécaniques. La rotor doit être lavée avec un liquide nettoyant neutre. Si des substances dangereuses sont déversées sur l’appareil ou qu’elles y dégouttent, ne faites pas fonctionner la centrifugeuse, à moins qu’il ne soit sécuritaire.

Désassemblage de la rotor pour le nettoyage

1. Retirez la rotor de l’appareil

3. Nettoyez-la selon les besoins

4. Réassemblez la rotor, tout en vous assurant que la languette d’alignement s’imbrique dans la fente.

Assurez-vous que toutes les pièces sont complètement sèches avant d’utiliser l’appareil.

La mini-centrífuga ha sido diseñada para laboratorios en el ámbito de las Biociencias, la Medicina y la Química. Puede utilizarse con materiales biopeligrosos y/o peligrosos. No tiene BIOSELLOS y no está diseñado para uso con materiales radioactivos. Este manual de instrucciones no aborda todos los peligros de seguridad. 1. No use nunca este producto de manera distinta a lo especiﬁcado en estas instrucciones.

2. Este producto es para uso exclusivo en interiores.

3. Este producto es para separar soluciones acuosas en tubos de ensayo aprobados compati-

bles con el RCF de esta unidad.

4. El producto no ha sido diseñado para centrifugar materiales muy densos. No use materiales

de una densidad mayor de 1,2 g/cm³ (1,2 g/mL).

5. Utilice exclusivamente rotores suministrados por Heathrow Scientiﬁc especíﬁcamente

fabricados para este producto. Estos rotores están clasiﬁcados para la velocidad máxima del producto: 12,500 rpm.

6. Cuando use este producto, observe las precauciones y reglamentaciones generales de

7. No intente operar este instrumento sin la cubierta o cuando ésta abierta.

14. Cargue el rotor simétricamente. Si opera esta unidad con un rotor desbalanceado, se pro-

ducirán severas vibraciones y daños, que no están cubiertos por la garantía.

15. No llene tubos de ensayo mientras estén insertados en el rotor. El derrame de líquido puede

dañar la unidad.

16. Cierre las tapas de los tubos de ensayo antes de comenzar a centrifugar. Las tapas abiertas

podrían romperse durante la centrifugación y dañar la unidad. Además, podrían causar la dispersión de ﬂuidos en la centrífuga.

17. No inserte tubos de ensayo que no sean estándar ni otros objetos extraños en el rotor.

vos, ni que puedan provocar cualquier otro riesgo.

21. No opere la unidad en un ambiente peligroso o inﬂamable.

22. No use solventes en la unidad que pudieren atacar el plástico o causar grietas en el rotor.

24. Trabaje siempre de manera tal de no poner en riesgo al usuario ni a ninguna otra persona.

25. En caso de que el instrumento no funcione de acuerdo con las especiﬁcaciones, detenga de

inmediato la centrifugación. Antes de volver a usar el equipo, límpielo y diagnostique y solucione los problemas que pudiere presentar de acuerdo con las instrucciones especiﬁcadas en la sección “Diagnóstico y solución de problemas”. Si persiste el problema, comuníquese con un distribuidor autorizado o con el fabricante.

26. No intente detener el rotor con la unidad en funcionamiento. Podría producirse una falla y

quedaría anulada la garantía.

27. Use sólo rotores, adaptadores de CA, adaptadores de tubos de ensayo y otros repuestos del

fabricante original.

28. Las reparaciones serán realizadas exclusivamente por personal capacitado del servicio téc-

nico autorizado. Comuníquese con Heathrow Scientiﬁc.

29. La apertura de la carcasa del instrumento o el uso indebido de él anula la garantía. En caso

de falla durante el período de garantía, comuníquese con Heathrow Scientiﬁc para el servicio técnico en garantía.

30. No intente usar unidades que no estén correctamente instaladas o reparadas.

31. No intente desmontar ni modiﬁcar este producto.

32. Guárdelo a temperatura ambiente en un área seca. No lo exponga a la luz del sol, la

• Retire el contenido del paquete; revise bien las piezas a fin de controlar que no estén

rotas, defectuosas o faltantes.

• Coloque el producto en una superficie sólida y anivelada, al menos 300mm alejado del

borde de la mesada y de otros equipos móviles. Asegúrese de que el adaptador de CA y los cables no estén en superficies calientes ni expuestos a otros riesgos.

• Asegúrese de que el producto tenga ventilación y no esté confinado en algún material que

limite el flujo de aire. Podría producirse sobrecalentamiento.

• Verifique que el interruptor de encendido localizado en la parte posterior de la unidad está

en posición APAGADO. Enchufe el cable de CC en la parte de atrás de la unidad y el cable de CA en un tomacorriente aprobado.

• Únicamente use el cable de alimentación y adaptador suplido por Heathrow Scientific.

Antes de usar la unidad

• Antes de cada uso, inspeccione la unidad por si hay grietas, piezas faltantes, o cualquier

otro daño que cause rendimiento deteriorado notifique al fabricante antes de usar.

• Lleve a la posición ENCENDIDO el interruptor de alimentación que se encuentra en la parte

posterior. La unidad se inicializará.

• Pulse el botón ABRIR. La tapa se elevará ligeramente. Levante suavemente la parte frontal

de la tapa y llévela hacia atrás hasta que quede vertical, a casi 90 grados.

• Retire el material de embalaje restante.

• Verifique que el rotor esté correctamente instalado (consulte la sección Instalación y retiro

del rotor). No opere la unidad sin el rotor instalado.

• Cierre la tapa.

• Pulse el botón Iniciar/Parar (el rotor girará hasta alcanzar la velocidad pre- definida). En

caso se escucharse un zumbido suave y de que la unidad se acelere con poca o ninguna vibración, la mini-centrífuga estará lista para usarse. En caso de ruidos raros o fuertes o de vibración excesiva, NO OPERE LA UNIDAD. Comuníquese con el Soporte Técnico de Heathrow Scientific.

• A la hora definida, el rotor reducirá su velocidad de giro, se detendrá y la unidad emitirá un

bip cuando se haya completado el ciclo.

Operación general

1. Lleve el interruptor de encendido localizado en la parte posterior a la posición de encendido.

La unidad se inicializará.

2. Para abrir la tapa, pulse el botón ABRIR. La tapa se elevará ligeramente. Levante

suavemente la parte frontal de la tapa y llévela hacia atrás hasta que quede vertical, a casi 90 grados.

3. En la mesada, prepare tubos de muestras en un rack para que queden llenos a niveles

iguales. Cierre las tapas de los tubos.

4. Coloque tubos en el rotor de manera balanceada (consulte la sección Balanceo del rotor).

5. Deﬁna la hora apropiada pulsando el botón de hora arriba/abajo.

6. Deﬁna las RPM apropiadas pulsando el botón de velocidad más/menos.

7. Coloque la cubierta del rotor estándar para limitar los ruidos y la aspiración de líquidos que

pudiere escapar de los tubos.

8. Cierre la tapa y presione hasta que quede trabada (en el visor se debe leer el estado “LISTO”).

9. Pulse Iniciar/Parar (el rotor girará hasta alcanzar la velocidad determinada por el usuario).

10. A una hora determinada, el rotor reducirá su velocidad de giro y se detendrá en la hora preﬁjada.

11. La unidad emitirá un bip cuando el ciclo se haya completado.

12. Para abrir la tapa, pulse el botón ABRIR.

Operación de giro rápido

1. Prepare la unidad para centrifugar tal cual se describe en la sección Operación General (pasos 1 a 8).

2. Oprima y sostenga el botón Giro rápido (el rotor alcanzará la velocidad deﬁnida).

3. El temporizador iniciará el conteo.

4. Una vez que haya transcurrido el tiempo suﬁciente según sus necesidades, libere el botón de giro rápido. El rotor reducirá su velocidad, se detendrá y la unidad emitirá un bip cuando se haya completado el ciclo.

5. Para abrir la tapa, pulse el botón ABRIR.

Instalación y retiro del rotor

Para retirar el rotor:

•Tome el rotor con una mano. Con la otra, retire la perilla central destornillando en sentido antihorario, hasta que se salga del eje del motor.

• Tire de la perilla central firmemente hacia arriba. El rotor se desprenderá fácilmente del accionamiento del motor.

Para instalar el rotor:

Asegúrese de que las bandas del rotor estén en las ranuras. Coloque el rotor en el accionamiento del motor y presione hacia abajo hasta que quede

• asentado.

•Tome el motor con una mano. Con la otra, retire la perilla central desatornillando en sentido horario hasta que encaje en el eje del motor. Siga girando la perilla hasta que quede apretada.

• No apriete la perilla excesivamente.

Mantenimiento

Normalmente, la mini-centrífuga no requiere de mantenimiento. Limpie la unidad sólo cuando no esté enchufada a un tomacorriente. Cuando sea necesario, limpie la carcasa y el rotor con un paño húmedo y un detergente no corrosivo suave.

¡ADVERTENCIA!

No use solventes en la unidad que pudieren atacar el plástico o causar grietas en el rotor. Asegúrese de que éste se encuentre protegido de daños mecánicos y por corrosión. Limpie el rotor con un líquido de limpieza neutro. En caso de derrame o pérdidas de muestras peligrosas en la unidad, no opere la centrífuga mientras no sea seguro hacerlo.

Desmontaje de rotores para limpieza

1. Retire el rotor de la unidad.

2. Retire los tornillos del fondo del rotor.

3. Realice la limpieza necesaria.

4. Coloque nuevamente el rotor; asegúrese de enganchar la lengüeta de alineación en la ranura.

5. Pruebe el rotor VACÍO instalado para garantizar que siga balanceado.

NOTAS

Asegúrese de que todas las partes estén bien secas antes de la operación.

Químicos Peligrosos:

1. La limpieza y la descontaminación pueden ser necesarias como salvaguardia antes de que las centrifugadoras de laboratorio, los rotores y cualquier accesorio sean mantenidos, reparados o transferidos. El usuario debe seguir todas y cada una de las instrucciones que se proporcionan en el manual correspondiente a este proceso.

1. Verwenden Sie dieses Produkt niemals auf eine Art und Weise, die nicht diesen

3. Dieses Produkt dient zur Trennung wässriger Lösungen in genehmigten Teströhrchen, die

mit der relativen Zentrifugalkraft dieses Geräts kompatibel sind.

24. Arbeiten Sie stets so, dass weder Benutzer noch andere Personen gefährdet werden.

25. Sollte das Gerät nicht entsprechend der Angaben funktionieren, schalten Sie die Zentrifuge sofort ab. Reinigen Sie das Gerät und beheben Sie den Fehler gemäß den Anweisungen im Abschnitt „Fehlerbehebung" vor der weiteren Verwendung des Geräts. Falls der Fehler nicht behoben werden kann, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler oder den Hersteller.

26. Versuchen Sie nicht, den Rotor anzuhalten, während das Gerät in Betrieb ist. Dies könnte zum Versagen der Einheit und zum Erlöschen der Garantie führen.

27. Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Originalrotoren, -netzteile, -röhrchenadapter und sonstige Ersatzteile.

28. Reparaturen dürfen nur von geschultem und autorisiertem Kundendienstpersonal durchgeführt werden. Kontaktieren Sie Heathrow Scientiﬁc.

29. Durch Öffnen der Geräteabdeckung oder unsachgemäße Handhabung des Geräts erlischt die Garantie. Falls während der Garantiezeit ein Fehler auftritt, kontaktieren Sie Heathrow Scientiﬁc für Garantieleistungen.

30. Verwenden Sie keine Geräte, die nicht sachgemäß installiert oder repariert wurden.

31. Nicht auseinander nehmen oder verändern.

32. Trocken und bei Zimmertemperatur aufbewahren. Nicht über längere Zeiträume direkter Sonneneinwirkung, Feuchtigkeit oder extremen Temperaturen aussetzen.

• Nehmen Sie den Inhalt aus der Verpackung und prüfen Sie ihn sorgfältig auf Brüche, Beschädigungen oder fehlende Teile.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine feste, gerade Oberfläche, die mindestens 300mm in sicherem Abstand von den Kanten der Arbeitsfläche und anderen beweglichen Geräten. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Stromkabel keine heißen Oberflächen oder sonstige Gefahrenquellen berührt.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät belüftet wird und nicht von Materialien umgeben ist, die die Luftzirkulation einschränken könnten. Dies kann zu Überhitzung führen.

Vor dem Betrieb

• Vor jeder Benutzung Gerät auf Risse, fehlende Teile oder Beschädigungen prüfen, die zu einer beeinträchtigten Leistung führen und den Hersteller vor Gebrauch benachrichtigen würden.

• Schalten Sie den Schalter hinten am Gerät EIN. Das Gerät wird in Betrieb genommen.

• Drücken Sie den „OPEN"-Knopf. Der Deckel öffnet sich leicht. Heben Sie die Vorderkante des Deckels an und kippen sie den Deckel nach hinten, bis er zu etwa 90 Grad senkrecht steht.

• Entfernen Sie zurückgebliebenes Verpackungsmaterial.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Rotor ordnungsgemäß installiert wurde (siehe Abschnitt „Installieren und Ersetzen des Rotors“).

• Nicht ohne eingesetzten Rotor betreiben.

Allgemeiner Betrieb

3. Bereiten Sie auf dem Labortisch im Ständer Probenröhrchen vor, bis alle Röhrchen gleichmäßig befüllt sind. Schließen Sie die Deckel der Röhrchen.

4. Setzten Sie die Röhrchen gleichmäßig in den Rotor ein (siehe Abschnitt „Ausgewogenheit des Rotors“).

5. Geben Sie die gewünschte Zeit ein, indem Sie den Knopf„Zeit erhöhen/verringern" drücken.

6. Geben Sie die gewünschte Geschwindigkeit (rpm) ein, indem Sie den Knopf „Geschwindigkeit erhöhen/verringern" drücken.

2. Drücken und Halten Sie den „Quick Spin"-Schalter (der Rotor beschleunigt auf die eingegebene Geschwindigkeit).

3. Der Kurzzeitmesser beginnt zu laufen.

4. Lösen Sie nach Ablauf der entsprechenden Zeit den „Quick-Spin"-Schalter. Der Rotor verlangsamt und kommt zum Stillstand, und das Gerät sendet einen Signalton, wenn das Programm abgelaufen ist.

5. Zum Öffnen des Deckels den „OPEN"-Knopf drücken.

Weitere Hinweise:

Wechseln zwischen rpm und relativer Zentrifugalkraft

• Vor Ablauf des Zentrifugierzyklus die Knöpfe „Geschwindigkeit erhöhen/verringern" gleichzeitig drücken.

• Die programmierte Geschwindigkeit wird dadurch auf die jeweils andere Einheit umgerechnet.

Quick Stop

• Einen dünnen Stab unten in die Öffnung einführen.

• Vorsichtig und gleichzeitig fest drücken bis Sie eine mechanische Bewegung im Gerät spüren und der Deckel sich öffnet.

• Den Stab entfernen und das Gerät auf die Standfüße stellen.

• Die Röhrchen entnehmen und den Deckel schließen.

ACHTUNG

Nur gleichmäßige Ladungen zentrifugieren! Die Röhrchen niemals asymmetrisch einlegen oder ungleich beladen. Unsachgemäße Platzierung der Röhrchen kann zu ungenügender Zentrifugierung und zu Verletzungen oder Unfällen führen.

Ausgewogenheit des Rotors

Röhrchen von gleichem Gewicht und gleicher Größe einander gegenüber einlegen. Verwenden Sie Muster oder Wasser in den Röhrchen zum Ausgleichen. Nachstehend sehen Sie eine Abbildung ordnungsgemäßer Platzierung.

ACHTUNG

Öffnen Sie den Deckel nicht, bevor der Rotor völlig still steht! Vermeiden Sie Verletzungen oder Beschädigungen durch bewegliche Teile. Nur mit der Zentrifuge kompatible Rotoren verwenden.

• Den Rotor mit einer Hand festhalten. Mit der anderen Hand den Knopf in der Mitte gegen den Uhrzeigersinn abschrauben, bis er sich vom Motorschaft löst.

Keine beschädigten oder zerbrochenen Rotoren benutzen!

Wartung

Diese Minizentrifuge ist wartungsfrei. Reinigen Sie die Einheit nur, wenn sie nicht ans Stromnetz angeschlossen ist. Falls nötig, können das Gehäuse und der Rotor mit einem feuchten Tuch und einem milden, nicht ätzenden Reiniger abgewischt werden.

ACHTUNG

Verwenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel, die das Plastik angreifen oder Risse im Rotor verursachen können. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Rotor vor Korrosion und mechanischen Schäden bewahrt wird. Der Rotor muss mit einer neutralen Reinigungsflüssigkeit gesäubert werden. Sollten gefährliche Proben auf oder im Gerät auslaufen, die Zentrifuge nur betreiben, falls dies noch sicher ist.

Entfernen des Rotors zur Reinigung

1. Den Rotor aus dem Gerät nehmen.

2. Die Schrauben von der Unterseite des Rotors entfernen.

3. Den Rotor reinigen.

4. Den Rotor wieder einsetzen – stellen Sie sicher, dass die Ausrichtungszunge in der Aussparung sitzt.

5. Den wiedereingesetzten Rotor probeweise leer laufen lassen, um die Ausgewogenheit zu überprüfen.

HINWEIS

Alle Teile müssen vor Inbetriebnahme völlig trocken sein.

1. Reinigung und Dekontaminat kann als Sicherung notwendig sein, bevor Laborzentrifugen, Rotoren und Zubehörteile gepﬂegt, repariert oder übertragen werden. Der Benutzer muss folgen und alle Instruktionen, die in der Bedienungsanleitung enthalten sind.
