Safety

WARNING: Improper operation or service activities may cause damage or injuries.

INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Read the "Generic Safety Directions"

document (See digitizer service manual) prior to attempting any operation, repair or maintenance task on the equipment.

(2) Strictly observe all safety directions within the "Generic Safety Directions" and on the product.

(3) Strictly observe all safety directions in

safety.cdr

chapter 3.1 of the digitizer service manual.

Workstation Setup

The following steps describe:

 Loading the license file at NX  Running the CR 10-X config wizard at NX  Synchronizing the configuration database at NX

Connections

The following steps describe:  Connections at NX workstation

(1) Perform connections at workstation.

License Dongle

(2) Perform connections at digitizer.

(3) Check NX SW version and switch on devices.

Check label on PC. It must show:

Installed software: NX_X.0.8700

(4) Load license.

Copy the application license file (ALF) to the NX directory:

C:\AGFA\Healthcare\NX\Configuration\Licensing

For details refer to CR 10-X Service Manual chapter 1.

Switch on both devices.

Double-click: "Restart NX" and press any key to continue.

After restart of NX, digitizer status LED turns green.

(14) Insert and identify cassette.

Installation Verification

The following steps describe:

 Erasing a cassette  Creating a flatfield image  Evaluating the image quality

(15) Evaluate flatfield image quality.

If image quality is not OK: See digitizer service manual chapter "Troubleshooting".

Press the "Erase" button.

Insert cassette with

Wait approx. 3 minutes until

Remove cassette.
