Chapter 1: System Overview
1.1: Features and Functions
HD29596 PoE is designed specifically for the device implemented
advanced MCU control technology and it has efficient protection of each port.
It is used with wireless access points (AP’s), IP cameras, VoIP, and other
devices that require network and power supplies.
1. The LCD display and control panel display the total power, power of each
port, the device temperature, etc. (only for 8-port PoE).
2. The PoE and UPLNK port support automatic MDI/MDI-X function.
3. Supplies four PoE power ports and one UPLINK port.
4. 10/100Mbps, full/half duplex automatic adapt.
5. Compliant with IEEE802.3af, IEEE802.3 at standard, 25W Max per port.
6. Backplane switching capacity of 1.0Gpbs.
7. 2K MAC address list.
8. Do not exceed more than 100 meters (328ft) of cable from the unit.
9. Offers effective short circuit, overload and total protection.
10. Each port offers an indicator light and device alarm light.
11. Wall mounting hole.

Chapter 3: Installation and Debugging
3.1 Open case inspection
Package contains:
• PoE device
• User’s manual
• An input power cable
• 48V power adaptor
3.2 Installation
1. Power cord to be plugged into 110 VAC input socket.
2. Connect network cable to ports as needed.
Notice:
1. The PoE device must be placed far away from any heat source, source of
electromagnetic interference, corrosive gases and metal dirt.
2. Do not block venting of the device.
3. Check the AC input voltage range.
4. Avoid local damage of the surface during installation.
3.3: Start test
1. After loading, the displayed green light in the output port is normal. The light flashes to
indicate a short circuit and current limiting phenomena. If the ALARM light is on, this
indicates the device has malfunctioned.
2. After the AC power is on, the front panel “POWER” light is on.
3. Total power, company details, the operating temperature, and the fan start/stop state,
etc. are displayed on the LCD.

Chapter 4: Routine Maintenance
4.1: Routine Maintenance
Chapter 5: Transport and Storage
5.1: Transport
5.2: Storage
Routine maintenance is necessary and assures the power system is in its best state
during operating.
1. Clean the power source regularly and prevent dust accumulation.
2. Check the connection of input and output lines whether for loose or poor
contacts. If damaged, please change immediately.
HD29596 should be transported with care to avoid severe shock. Failure to transport
without care may result in a malfunction and damage.
HD29596 PoE should be stored in a dry environment with no direct sunlight. Storage
period is one year.
Storage temperature: -20°C ~ +70°C (the restoration time from low temperature is at
least 4 hours).
Relative humidity: 5% ~ 90%RH.
