A wireless LAN standard called IEEE 802.11b has emerged, delivering speeds up to 11 Mbps and the ability to create wireless LANs that stretch from one end of the company to another. This WP251 Wireless LAN PCI Card with high power external antenna is designed to connect your Desktop computer to a Wireless LAN. It can work with Ad-Hoc (Peer to Peer) and Infrastructure (Access Point) Wireless LAN configurations. The WE110P is compliant with IEEE 802.11b standard and can work with a multi-vendor Wireless LAN platform.

The Hawking WP251 Wireless LAN PCI Card delivers network speeds up to 11Mbps…. five times faster than previous wireless LAN products. Using dynamic rate shifting to create a reliable connection, each wireless adapter supports up to 32 simultaneous users at a distance of up to 1000ft (300m) for outdoor use and 328ft (100m) for indoor use. It also features Wires Equivalent Privacy (WEP) -compliant data encryption using encryption keys, MAC Address Control and user authentication to ensure a fast, reliable and secure network connection.

Step 1 – Insert WP251 PCI Card

Insert WP251 into one of you computer’s available PCI Slot.

Step 2 – Install Driver and Utility

Insert Driver & Utility CD, Windows 98/2000/ME/XP will automatically detect it. Follow the Setup Wizard to install.

Step 3 – Configure WP251 PCI Card

Click Wireless LAN utility, Set up your Network ID (SSID) and WEP security and you are ready to go.
