Product data 11 Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point
The 11 Mbps WLAN Access Point is an indispensable building block of your wireless
infrastructure. This compact, reliable device is easy to install and can be centrally
managed from any place in your network. Each 11 Mbps WLAN Access Point
offers a number of channels to create a non-interfering, multiple pico cell structure,
enabling you to build a complete wireless premises network. The high-speed
data rate of 11 Mbps makes it possible to run virtually any application you prefer
wirelessly. The Access Point is capable of supporting several virtual LANs over
a single wireless enterprise network. With the included management utility called
APCenter, you can drag and drop installed Access Points and update the new
Access Point with all the current characteristics.

Security has been taken care of, using AirLock™ advanced security architecture
Eavesdropping and data hacking are major issues in the networking business. The
risks are perceived to be even higher when operating a wireless network. NoWires
Needed has developed a superior solution to this problem and dubbed it AirLock™.
AirLock™ prevents eavesdropping by using an access control list and an advanced
public/private key algorithm, whilst data hacking has been taken care of by a dynamic 128-bit encryption key. AirLock™ also relieves your network administrator from
the burden of additional key management.

Automatic Scale Back Functionality scales back to lower data rates if necessary
when communicating with other IEEE 802.11 compliant equipment. It also ensures
that the users get the best connection available in radio-hostile environments.
Plug-and-Play
It goes without saying that the products of NoWires Needed have plug-and-play
capabilities. The 11 Mbps WLAN Access Point can be deployed in any Ethernetbased network. Many network operating systems are supported, including NT,
Novell, AS/400 and Linux. Note that APCenter Management Software should be run
on a PC under Windows (95, 98, NT4.x, 2000).
