The Hawking’s PN9230 DSL/Cable VPN Router provides
cost-effective, high level security for Small Office and
Home Office (SOHO) users sharing a high-speed
DSL/Cable internet connection. The PN9230 is designed
with the advanced VPN pass-through feature to allow you
to create a fast, reliable and secure VPN (Virtual Private
Network) to access your corporate network via a pubic
Internet. It works with industrial PPTP (Point to Point
Tunnel Protocol) and IPSec (IP Security Protocol) standard
VPN servers such as Mic rosoft Windows NT/2000, Cisco
VPN Servers. It utilizes NAT (Network Address Translation)
technology to hide your private network as a natural
firewall to prevent attacks from outside intruders. With the
Port Mapping and Multiple DMZ (De-Military Zone) Host
technology, it allows you to host Web, Email and FTP
servers.

Hawking’s PN9230 router not only works with most Always­on and PPPoE (Point-to-Point Over Ethernet Protocol) DSL
connection, but also with Cable Modem connections. It is
designed with a high performance processor that allows
you to share up to 254 users using a single ISP user
account to reduce your total network cos t. And that is not
all. The PN9230 has a built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol) Server for your LAN and DHCP
Client for your WAN. Therefore, there is no need to
configure each IP address. Managing the PN9230 is
simple as well. The Web-based management makes it
easy to configure from anywhere using a web browser.
This Router can also be easily firmware upgraded using
your Telnet or TFTP connection. Furthermore, it is
compatible with all standard Internet applications and c an
be connected to any 10M or 100M network.
