INTERIOR WINDOW GUARDS
2000-2004 CHEVY TAHOE & GMC YUKON
TOOLS REQUIRED:
Safety goggles Power drill
HARDWARE REQUIRED: QTY DESCRIPTION PART #
24 #10 x ½” Phillips flat head sheet metal screw GSM33150 36 #10 x 3/4” Phillips pan head sheet metal screws GSM33195
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Determine the proper cage for each window. Each guard has part number on lower left corner.
2. Side Passenger Door Windows – Hold the screen up to the window frame. Make sure you have an
even fit. Mark mounting holes and drill out with the 1/8” drill bit. Use #10 x ½” flat head sheet metal screws to attach screens to door window frame. Note: Do not over tighten screws. After the 1/8” holes are drilled, it is helpful to indent the holes inward with a punch. This will enable the mounting screws to grab better.
3. Side Cargo Area Windows – Carefully remove interior plastic trim that surrounds windows.
Position window guard into window frame. (Guard will be approximately ½” from glass). Drill mount holes in window frame with 1/8” drill bit and attach guard with #10 x ¾” sheet metal screws. Install interior trim back to original location.
Note: Trim should fit back on without modification, although plastic sometimes needs to be shaved to allow clips to go on properly.
4. Rear Door Windows – These guards are mounted the same way as the side cargo windows.
