PENTAX PRINTER MOUNT ‘96-08 FORD CROWN VICTORIA

TOOLS REQUIRED:

Power Drill
Drill Bit Set

HARDWARE:

5 #8 X 3/8” Black torx screw CM86508
1 #10 X ½” Machine screw GSM33118

REMOVE:

1. Using Phillips screw driver, remove existing inner plastic glove box assembly.
(Do not remove glove box door)

INSTALLATION:

1. Subassembly:

• Position printer housing inside glove box

opening on left side. (Approximately 1”
inch from side)

• Using the housing hinge as a template,

mark the three mounting holes.

• The hinge rod should be above the glove

box fame. This is critical to allow the
glove box door to close.

• Drill (3) 9/64” holes

2. Glove box filler:

• The 2000 and newer model years
requires a glove box door filler (CM93605).

• Attach this filler with (5) #8 X 3/8” Black torx screws.

• On vehicle model years 1996-1999 – remove glove box retractor.

Note: 1999 and older models do not get this filler.

3. Mount Printer Housing:

Note: Printer should Not be in the housing yet.

• Mount housing assembly using (3) #10 x ¾” sheet metal screws.

(These screws go through the hinge and the holes you drilled in subassembly)

• Place latch “L” bracket on the glove box
door – mark and drill a 5/32” pilot hole.

(“L” bracket is attached to slide rail and can be
accessed through opening in housing) Mount
bracket using (1) #10 X ½” Sheet metal screw.
Check and adjust slide rail bolt as needed.

4. Pentax Printer:

• Put printer into housing.

• Plug in the power and data cable to printer.

• Run data cable to Monitor or CPU.

(Depending on application)

• Run power and ground to a
12volt battery or ignition source.

Note: Be sure to fuse appropriately.

5. Glove box lanyard:

• Mount glove box lanyard
(CM93606) to the glove box
door. (see note)

• Open the glove box so the printer
slide is approximately 95% open.

• Connect other end of lanyard to
the doorframe with #10 X ½”
Sheet metal screw.

Note: 2000 and newer is attached to Glove Box filler with Machine Screw and 1999 and older is
attached to glove box door with Sheet metal screw.
